Asphalt Paving reviews in Worcester

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Liam and co. did a great job removing our old driveway, leveling, and paving the new driveway. He was able to come earlier than expected due to a cancellation. We didn't pay until the work was done, and the price was very reasonable. The new driveway has been in for a year and still is in great shape.

  • Excellent all around. High-quality work at very competitive price. Our long loop driveway, parts of which originally dated back to the 1940s, had several layers of cracked and slumping asphalt and a lot of boulders in the packing beneath. It was a big, expensive job to pull it all out, regrade, and repave. I went with BK over the other three estimates I received partly on price, but also because Brian impressed me when he came out to size up the job, and spent more than half an hour explaining the options and answering my questions. He responded quickly to calls and texts and was able to start work within a week. Entire crew was friendly, hard-working, and had no problem with me hanging around and asking questions. I'd hire them again without hestitation.

  • What a fantastic and professional job from start to finish. The crew arrived early to setup so they could begin working at their scheduled 8:00 a.m. time. The owner, Thiago, was on site for 90% of the job which I really appreciated. We've had our driveway done before and the quality and workmanship was nothing compared to Middlesex, and Middlesex was far less expensive. They left our property immaculately clean when they left and our new driveway doesn't have even a hair's width bump. Smooth as can be. First class all around.

  • Middlesex Paving arrived on time (actually early); removed the old driveway; leveled, filled, and compacted a new base; then professionally layered two coats of new asphalt. Beautiful job done by people who care about their work.

  • Excellently! I cannot say enough great things about Asphalt Engineering. From project coordination, to excavation, to the paving itself, the Asphalt Engineering team rocked it! They showed up on time, they explained everything, and answered my questions, of which I had many. Payment was easy. Their quote and project communication process was also very easy. The final product exceeded my expectations and I would use their services again. The pictures speak for themselves.

  • Excellent! The work was accomplished as promised on time and with appropriate contrasts. The only issue was a mar in the main street from the presence of the machinery. The offer was fair and the additional charges were also fairl.

  • We are a company with 200+ locations and working with Perrone Landscaping has been one of the best contractors to deal with

It went really well from the first estimates working with the owner Brett Perrone to the scheduling to the actual work. The employees that came out to do the actual work  were so courteous, respectful and nice. They really took pride in their job and the quality of work that they did.

I would highly recommend this company

  • The good news is that they readily offered a full refund.
The  rest of the story is this:  The company was prompt about providing an estimate, however, when I received it, I noticed that the quoted drive dimensions didn't seem to match my drive.  The owner returned and re-measured, which reduced the price by about 25%.   Next they scheduled the work without checking to see what was convenient for me, and assigned a date when I was leaving town midday.  After saying that they would make my job the first of the day and would be finished before I needed to leave - likely arriving between 8 and 9.  They showed up at 11:15.  I called the office three times between 8:30 and 10:00 when I finally was able to speak with someone.  When she called back around 10:45, she explained that the workers had to finish a job from the night before but would be there shortly.  The crew who arrived had a different explanation - they said their truck broke down.
I had to leave but since I had had the drive sealed by two other companies in prior years, and the work seemed pretty straight forward, I left never dreaming anything could go wrong.  Also, my neighbor was there and available to consult and to call me if there were any problems.
After allowing the drive to dry/cure for 48 hours, I inspected and found the rubbery crack-filler was applied in uneven lines and they had left blobs (apparent drips) in various places.  Several places weren't dry (and in fact today - 6 days later - I can still leave a footprint in some areas.  Additionally the edge along the entrance to my garage and as well as the edge along the stone-lined side of the drive was uneven.  Finally, the surface of the drive in many places was blotchy.
I complained to the company and they offered to send the crew back to take a look at their work.  They, of course, said that I should be happy with the job - it was the best anyone could do.  I feel the owner should have returned to see the work.
To make sure I wasn't exaggerating my disappointment, I later asked someone  who had re-sealed my drive in the past to take a look at it.  Without giving him any hints, he told me that while not "horrible," they should have been more careful with the rubber.  Also it appeared that they should have either done a second coat of sealant or used a thicker grade - that would have evened out the surface.  (His schedule was full - I would have had to wait for almost a month for him to do the work.  I wish I'd been patient.)
And as I said, the good news is that they offered and provided a complete refund.

  • John Jolin gave us an honest and complete written estimate, and his company did an impressive job replacing our driveway. They removed an old chain-link fence and old basketball goal, finished the paving with a smooth surface that drained rain/water properly, and rebuilt the curbs on each side of the driveway front. The original curbs had been severely damaged by a previous snow-plow contractor. We had investigated several other paving companies, but decided to work with Jolin Paving. It was a good decision for us -- the job was worth every penny. It looks great!

  • Miller's Asphalt Paving was prompt, professional, skilled and provided a good value for my money. They gave a detailed estimate and explained what they would do. All the work was done in less than one day. I would work with them again and recommend them to anyone needing asphalt paving.
