They found a couple of issues that I would not have caught. avoiding a big mess in the future. Installed a new water heater -- Again, no surprises. Fast and effective. :) Emergency main line repair -- So here's the biggie. Right before the holidays, our main sewer line collapsed and we had people coming in to stay with us. The Papalia team was able to get the plumbing working within 2 days, including digging to the street and replacing with modern pipe. We are so grateful for the speed and efficiency of the fix. I'd like to give a special shout out to Kimber... he really help us understand what was going on and called in the troops!- Matt F.

AReal Dry Waterproofing - ScituateThis was one of several firms I had in to look at the problem. Curt, the owner of Real Dry offered a solution that seemed to make sense and gave me a quote that was reasonable given the amount of work that was required. I was most confident in the recommendation here relative to what the other contractors were suggesting. Despite an unexpected problem with the septic pipe being cracked outside the house, the firm rose to the occasion and completed the repairs with exceptional service. I am very glad I found this firm and highly recommend them to anyone with basement issues.- Michael D.

AHercules C&G Drain CoThey made a difficult situation very easy. They were the lowest estimate and they did the job very professionally and quickly. A128 Plumbing Heating Cooling & ElectricCharlie and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. Our first call had been to Rotor Rooter, not realizing that it was more than just a clog. Although they were very professional, their quote was literally double for the same job. When we got such a high number back from them, I immediately started calling around to try and get a frame of reference of what the work typically costs. 128 plumbing got back to me immediately to schedule an inspection, while every other company I called either didn't get back to me at all or responded after I had already had 128 out for their quote and hired them. They were on time, communicative, professional, and I felt very comfortable giving them my business. I would never have hired any company before hearing from other, even if I had to wait, if I had not been totally convinced that they would complete the job professionally. They followed through, and even though I hate having to write checks, it was money very well spent. I will use them in the future and recommend them highly.- Kate D.

He and his crew worked to fit us into their schedule within two weeks of initial scoping, and were a pleasure to have on site. They worked efficiently, were extremely friendly, answered questions along the way, and left the job site immaculate every afternoon before leaving. AAlo Seamless GuttersJoe & the ALO team are the best. We're new to the Central Mass area, so we did not have trade contacts local to our new home. I did some research online to find only great things about Joe's team. I obtained three gutter estimates, but was most impressed by the ALO team responsiveness to my call, thoroughness while explaining options, their process and detailed proposal. The decision was easy, we hired ALO. The ALO office staff contacted us right away to promptly schedule our install. They contacted us approx a week in advance to confirm the install date and showed up exactly as discussed. The ALO install crew was extremely friendly, courteous and skilled. They did a fantastic job installing our gutters and downspouts. They took every precaution to protect our siding and landscaping. The also left the areas around out house cleaner than when they arrived: a rarity in residential construction. At the completion of their work, they walked us around the house to review their installation to make certain we were 100% satisfied. That is not were their service ended. Both Joe and Rob contacted us post installation to make certain we continued to be 100% satisfied. ALO Seamless Gutters is a top-notch company and highly recommended! ANatural Path Landscaping LLCWe are thrilled with our project just completed by Natural Path Landscaping, LLC. We needed to replace our front concrete steps, walkway and retaining wall. We had several estimates that were all close in price but went with Tom for several reasons: 1) Tom has an engineering degree and creates the designs and specs himself, 2) when he did his initial visit he made several suggestions that had not been offered by others, 3) Tom and his crew work on one job at a time start to finish, 4) Tom's quick responsive to all emails and calls, and finally 5) all the rave reviews on Angie's list. Tom and his two employees, Justin and Adam are professional and expert craftsmen at their trade. They are meticulous about their work which is evident in the gorgeous end result. They are also very friendly and respectful and welcomed all our questions about the project. They work tirelessly through long days, rain or shine. As the project progressed we knew we had made the right decision to go with Tom and crew. Both the design and craftsmanship are superb and has truly transformed the curb appeal of our home. ACurt was very professional and responsive from the moment we first called him. We had a dirt floor crawlspace with a large amount of moisture. The crawl space height was very low but Curt's crew managed to get in and de-mold and encapsulate the entire crawlspace. They also installed a thermostatically controlled dehumidifier which kicks on automatically when the moisture level gets too high. The crew did an excellent job under challenging conditions. The price was right too. Would recommend Curt and Real Dry to anyone needing basement or crawlspace solutions.

AI accessed Frankie through Thumbtack and he responded within three minutes (!). This was at 3:30 PM. He said he could be at my home by 4:30 that day and arrived in time. He assessed my need for a new water heater, showed me a replacement model on his phone, and gave me an estimate of its price which was correct to the dollar (he also sent me a picture of the receipt from Home Depot where he bought it later). The next morning he arrived at 9 AM as I requested, and replaced the water heater, a separate leaking input pipe, and the wax ring on my downstairs toilet, by himself, and was done at 10:30. He carried in the new tank and disposed of the old one by himself. He was cheerful and informative when I asked about the shutoffs for the gas, ewlectric, and water in the new tank. I didn't comparison shop for the work, so I can't compare costs, but going from a steadily leaking tank to a completely replaced one from stem to stern in 36 hours was worth every bit. He also maintained very good COVID protocols throughout. I was duly impressed and would recommend him to anyone.

AWe had a really excellent experience with The Bulkhead Man and Sons. We purchased a home earlier this year that had a very old, rotting wooden bulkhead, so we were looking to replace it with a new steel system that was more reliable and secure. I received a call the same day I filled out the contact form on their website, and Craig came out the following day to measure, answer our questions, and provide a detailed quote. It took several weeks for the door to be ready, but we were quoted that timeframe and it was accurate. The installation itself was great - each day they came out, we had plenty of notice, they were prompt and super friendly, and kept things very tidy. We highly recommend them!!
