My fireplace had developed a leak after I converted my heating system from oil to gas (oil furnace was vented to fireplace, and after conversion the smoke was escaping through the old ductwork). I contacted Jim and after a few emails and a little bit of trouble scheduling (this was in early/mid March, which I'm sure is their busy season) we scheduled a time for him to come out and give an estimate (which seemed to be a very fair price). Initially he thought he would need to cut a hole in the wall to fix the leak, but as they started the work they found they could brick/mortar up the side of the fireplace from behind the wall (in the furnace room where the ductwork was removed). This was extremely helpful as it prevented us having to patch/paint the drywall as we would have had to do if the hole in the wall needed to be cut. Work looks great, and functions perfectly. Price appears to be fair/in line with other services, and Jim was easy to work with and showed up when he said he would. Great experience overall, and would highly recommend!

IDishonest and shady.  I  contacted provider in August and provided details.  I offered to send pictures.  He did not get back to me as promised  but did call several days late and made an appointment to see the job.  He was over an hour late, making mulitple excuses including that he spelled the address wrong ( I had offered directions).   He finally arrived and viewed the job, taking lots of time talking about himself.   He promised a written estimate within a week.  He had me write down my email so he would not make a mistake.  He took up the entire morning and because I thought he was honest I stopped calling other masons.
The estimate never came.  I waited three days more and then contacted him.  He said that he would provide the estimate the next day.  The estimate never came.  I contacted him again.  He did not reply.  I contacted him again.  He said he was 'over whelmed' and could not remember the job and asked for a picture of my house to jog him memory.  I promptly sent him a link to google maps which has a picture.  (I don't know why he didn't try this himself).  he didn't respond.  I again contacted him asking about his behavior and asking him to send the estimate he promised especially given that he had taken up my time and delayed my contacting others masons.  He never responded.
I am new to Angie's List and the Provider's behavior was off putting..   I  became aware that I was dealing with strangers. Luckily the other masons I called after Celtic behaved in a normal professional manner..

Frank was terrible.  He didn't show up for the first appointment, was two hours late for the second, and I had to call him.  He was rude and almost hostile.  He promised an estimate in a week.  It never came.  I called him twice and emailed him.  He never responded.  I understand people being busy or having problems and gave him multiple chances.  He was so unprofessional, and his behavior was so dishonest, that I am relieved I didn't hire him (and I probably would have )

    CUCCIO MASONRY CO., INC.
When I bought this house 2 years ago, the front stairs were disastrous. While the brick base was in decent shape,  4 of the 5 limestone treads were missing, the stone on the top landing was flaking off after years of water damage, and the concrete landing had settled and cracked.  I'd taken care of the water issues, and knew the stairs needed to be repaired before a 3rd winter came, lest I have to replace the base and all.  I also knew this was a pretty small job in the grand scheme of things, and I was nervous about bringing someone in. I was afraid they'd try to talk me into doing all of the other masonry work that obviously needed to be done, to make it worth their while, which wasn't in this year's budget.
I found Cuccio Masonry on the internet and gave them a call - the website did say "no job is too small", so I figured it was worth a shot. I spoke with Bob, who said he'd come out the following day and have a look. We talked through a couple of options - (1) trying to match my existing limestone treads and just replacing the 4 that were missing or (2) removing all of the stone from the stairs as well as the concrete landing and replacing it all with granite. He pointed out that my stairs weren't actually square to the house, which would be a challenge, but I was relieved he didn't try to push me to redoing the entire set. He showed me some pictures of some other jobs where they'd done granite landings and they looked great. Not having any idea what this would cost, I asked for a quote for both options, which Bob wrote up and sent the following day. I hemmed and hawed about it for a few weeks, as I tend to do, but in the end, went with option 2 -  replacing it all with granite.
Bob let me know he'd added me to their queue, which was 4-6 weeks out, and he'd call the week before they were ready to let me know they'd be coming. About 6 weeks later, he called, but I was out of town and wouldn't be around. I said they could do the work while I was away, but he said he'd feel better if I were in town, just in case.  He suggested they start their next job and get back to me once that was finished, which was fine with me. They ultimately started the following Wednesday and by Friday it was done -  one day to remove the old stone and prep, one day to lay the new stone, one day to give it a final wash and inspection. Mark was the foreman and he was excellent - very approachable, knowledgeable and professional. The entire team was great.  The stairs look awesome, the site was cleaned up every night, and on the last day they even washed the driveway, making sure to clean up any mortar that might have been tracked.
I got one other estimate, which was on par, but I'd met with Bob first, I appreciated his willingness to work with me on just the immediate problem and I liked his design. This was one of the easier engagements I've had and I'd recommend Cuccio Masonry without reservation. For the first time in 2 years, I've been regularly using our front stairs and I love them.

The provider submitted an estimate for some exterior carpentry work on our home. We received more than one estimate for this work and ultimately Three Masons was not the one selected to do the work.

Marty did a fantastic job start to finish.   It's clear that Marty is passionate about his work.  He arrived for the estimate prepared with loads of examples.  We took his advice and recommendations with confidence and the end result was outstanding.  I would recommend Marty to anyone looking to refurbish their fireplace.  Great job.

Jeff called me within an hour of my inital contact through Angie's List.  That was the kind of response we got throughout the process with Jeff.  He met me at our house to listen to what I was looking to do and offered great suggestions to help me flesh out my ideas.  He was very responsive in all aspects through bid and and build, including subsequent meetings with both my husband and my landscape designer.  His team is professional, courteous and CLEAN!  They work their butts off and the do excellent work.  The masonry work is beautiful and the carpentry is solid.  They take their time to make sure that everything is done the "right" way and don't cut any corners.  They communicate throughout the process and make it clear that they want you to be happy with the end result.  Well, we couldn't be happier with the work Jeff and his team did for us.  In fact, we can't wait for him to come back in the spring to transform our front walkway!

The work was fantastic.  Masonworks showed up with an 8 man crew and worked tirelessly for a full 10 hour day.  They completed the job on time, with fantastic quality and for a great price.  At the end of the day they cleaned up completely and left my place in perfect condition.  Jeff's insight into the job and his suggestions were also tremendously helpful.  I would recommend him to anyone looking for landscaping or masonry work - simply outstanding

Peter and his crew began each morning at 7 am working thru the weekend until the job was finished. He kept me informed each day and showed concern for noise that could have disturbed my family or the neighbors on the weekend. The work is 1st quality and the front steps and walk are fantastic
