    L N King Plumbing, Heating & A C Inc
Requested a quotation on Angie's List at 2PM. By 3PM, without seeing the issue, I was called by L N King Plumbing, Heating & A C Inc and received a quotation. They told me they could repair the outside faucet the following day in the early afternoon between 3PM - 4PM. They were right on time (very punctual). They knew exactly what needed to be done to repair/replace the faucet. After inspecting the issue and upon starting the job, they noticed a secondary issue, which required more pipe/fittings than originally quoted. There was NO change in price. Repair was completed quickly and efficiently. Will definitely use them again and will even contract them to service my AC unit for all future tune-ups because of their work. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

    New Generations Plumbing & Heating
This is the 2nd time we have had New Generations Plumbing & Heating come out to do work for us and on both occasions we found them to be efficient, friendly, competent, thorough and considerate of our time.Their response time to my initial call for service was excellent. Each time we were given a 2 hour time frame of when they would arrive and both times they came well within it, calling when they were about 10 minutes out - a nice gesture. When they arrived they asked a few questions about what we needed, really listened and then got down to business. Today we had the good fortune of getting Daniel and another young man whose name (I am embarrassed to say) I cannot remember, but they were both very professional. I would not hesitate to call them again and highly recommend this company to anyone in need of plumber.

    New Generations Plumbing & Heating
I thought it went fine initially. Then days later we discovered water had been leaking from the new connection. My son turned it a quarter of a turn which immediately stopped the leak. We then discovered all the damage that had occurred in the 2 or 3 days since. I called the owner (Dennis Chaffee I believe) and he was very apologetic. He came out to see the damage and told me he would "take care of everything". That I wasn't to worry about it. He sent his workers back to put a new valve in because he didn't like the old brand of valve that he replaced. Everything was going well and then he was going to send his friend who was a contractor to patch the hole his guys had made putting the new valve in and then we'd "be all set". I asked about the damage to my walls and down the cellar. At that point he told me that this had never happened to him in 35 years in the business but he would have to file an insurance claim. He said he would do it that night. Then called a day or two later to say he would have to file a claim that day. It took awhile for his insurance and I to connect after playing phone tag for a week or so. But as I was talking to them, they told me that he claimed he had no idea how this happened and it was nothing he did !!! Went from someone I admired for fixing his mistakes to a zero in my books. The true character of a man comes out when the chips are down (or its costing him too much to fix his mistake).

    New Generations Plumbing & Heating
Excellent!!!! I would highly recommend New Generations Plumbing in the future.
I even took extra business cards as I have friends in need of services.

Since the completion I have not had one problem. The new system is virtually silent.

When showing my friends and family the completed job they too are in awe of the quality and detail that went into this project.

    Mr Fix It Handyman
    Lorenzo was great.
Friendly guy and on time. He had several people working on the job. They were very efficient. The rate was exactly as he said. There were no surprises. He also looked at the additional items on our list so he will be giving us a quote on those. I really feel he was a great value.
We have lots of little things that need fixing. I know from experience trying to fix things myself in the past, I would have spent a lot more time, more money on probably the wrong parts, and would probably have broken something else in the process. The fan had been sitting on the floor in the dining room for three months. And, we had purchased a support bar that it turns out we didn't need. I'm very happy to have it installed. I did try to fix the closet door before I called him. I took a hammer to the doorknob! The fact that they fixed the problem without damaging the door was a real plus. Also, he was very nice not to criticize any of my homeowner "fixes". (I have had that happen in the past). - He is highly professional.
They cleaned everything up as well. There wasn't any debris or dust. I will be calling Lorenzo in the future. Next on our list is a cracked pipe that is leaking and our sump pump needs some work.

    Peabody Plumbing & Heating
On the phone I explained what we needed and since neither job was an emergency, I accepted an appointment for a week later. When Shawn came, he suggested that we just replace parts in the old toilet, rather than replace the entire toilet. We did this first, but ultimately we ended up having him return and replace it about a week later.

I had to reschedule the first appointment, and Shawn had to reschedule the second one for later in the day. Communication was good (he has an effective answering service), and we appreciated his honesty, and diligence in getting the work done.

    Mr Fix It Handyman
i was pleased because Lorenzo answered my call in person and provided instructions on photographing the problem area and sending the information to him via text or e-mail.  He came out to repair the leak within a reasonable time (5 days - it was not a flood, just a drip) and had everything repaired within a four hour window. I would hire him again, especially since he is someone I know i can get in touch with - there is nothing worse than leaving messages and never getting a call back, which was my experience with other plumbing companies who I will never call again.  Very professional and courteous.

    Dreyer Plumbing and Heating Inc
Regarding the first job, the high efficiency boiler, the job was done quickly, efficiently and as promised. The boiler works great and is already saving me on my gas bills. I am thoroughly happy with both the boiler and the work performed to install it. Dreyer Plumbing did a great job!
The second job, the installation of the sink and two faucets was a little rougher through NO FAULT of the plumbers! We has a standard sized sink that we were replacing. Unfortunately, not all sinks of the same size have their supports in the same places. This new sink needed a bigger hole in the counter. The service men from Dreyer Plumbing kept on working while the size if the hole was increased. We were eventually able to get the sink in. Then, the plumbing for the disposal did not line up and had to be re-done.
In the bathroom, the faucet went in fine. But, both shut-offs were corroded and had to be replaced. They took the time to do this for me also.
Brett and Mike were super. They were polite, patient and respectful. Thanks to both of you!
I'd recommend Dreyer Plumbing anytime! And incidentally, we went to them because they were recommended to us by a customer.

    Mr Fix It Handyman

Lorenzo/Mr. Fix It is the best. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Springfield area. Although he has done work for me in the past, this review has to do with repairs he did as I was selling my home in Wilbraham. I was really under the gun with the buyers bank (FHA requirements). Lorenzo was very prompt; seemingly dropped everything to get my work done on time for closing. I have no doubt that if it weren't for Lorenzo, my house would not have been ready for closing by the closing date. He and his crew are always prompt, efficient, expeditious, friendly, courteous, kind, understanding, very professional, and of the highest moral character.

I have recommended him to my real estate broker for recommendation to any of her future clients who need dependable, down-to-the-wire work.

If anyone needs a handyman in the area, don't even bother with the other guys. Call Mr. Fix It. They will get it done, and meet your schedule.

    Prices are always very fair.

    Real Dry Waterproofing - Holyoke
This is a family business, and I worked with Steve.  I left a message with the office and Steve called back the next day.  We set up an appointment for the following day, which was a Saturday.  The basement floor of the sunroom addition is a step down from the rest of the basement.  It was always dry before the two hurricanes (Irene and Sandy) but it flooded during the storms, and this year even with normal rain it has been flooding. Steve looked at the problem and said he would need to trench the perimiter of the floor, put in drain pipe and a sump, then repair the floor.  There was built-in wooden shelving against the wall that Steve said had to be removed, which is work he would not normally do.  He gave me a firm price for the waterproofing and took a guess at the shelving. On that Monday he called back and said he had a carpenter friend who owed him a favor, and he gave me a firm price for the shelving - a price to remove it (only $150) and a price to replace it (also only $150).
I scheduled the work for about a month later.  The crew showed up on time, got started in the basement and very quickly called me at work.  When he did the estimate Steve had not noticed the insulation and stud wall behind the shelving, and it needed to come out too.  I told him to just go ahead and tear it out and not to worry about replacing it because I figured it was probably moldy and rotten (it was).  Steve honored the $150 price quote he gave me, even though the studding was a lot more work - like three hours more work for four guys.  He just charged the price he had quoted for shelf removal and did not charge the replacement price - peanuts for all the work it took.
Then, once the walls were bare they installed the sump, and discovered there was already drain pipe under the slab.  Steve called me again, told me about the drain pipe, said there was probably a 50-50 chance the system would work with the existing pipe.  At that point if I had let him just use the existing pipe I would have saved a bunch of money and Steve would have lost a ton on the job, but he told me he would not be able to sleep at night without giving me all the facts and letting it be my decision.  I told him to go ahead and do the whole job as planned, which was the right decision because once they did the trenching and pulled out the old pipe they found it was totally clogged, and I would have lost the 50-50 bet.
If you need waterproofing work do not hesitate to give these guys a call.  They are professional, polite, they bust their behind, and most of all they are extremely honest.  I recommend them highly.
