    Nate rocks! He responded immediately, trying first to resolve my issues over the phone and then making a house call soon after. He's a very pleasant and engaging guy, which is always a plus when dealing with the cold, indifferent logic of computers. He is thoroughly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I will call him again in a heartbeat the moment my computer looks at me sideways.

    Geeks called after I signed up for the Angie's deal [tune-ups only] and set up an Appt. to call back when I would be home and available to work with them one the phone and my computers. They called back exactly on time and, after discussing what I wanted done - which included two things not part of the tuneup - and then set to work. I had to download a program onto each computer and type in some passwords to allow them to control the machines. Once I did that, the geek took over each machine and worked on it for a fairly long time. [about 40 minutes for the laptop, about two hours in two separate session for the desktop which needed the extra work].  Between sessions, there was an interruption of about an hour, which was about the time he told me it would be when we disconnected.
    Both computers work MUCH  better now than they did before the work was performed, and the extra things I asked them to do to fix a printer problem and re-activate a long disused email program were successfully completed. I was charged for an extra hour's work beyond the tune-ups which were part of the Angie's deal which I felt was very fair.
    Overall, extremely happy with the experience and would definitely use Geeks, Inc again.

    I have been a repeat customer for about 8 years, and have never been disappointed. It's a one-person operation, so Ferdy is not always there when I go, but that's because he makes house calls--very convenient and helpful. I've bought two custom-built computers there, which were cheaper and more efficient than pre-packaged computers that include too much software I don't need, and which slows down the system. Much more dependable, affordable and efficient than the two previous services I hired in West Roxbury.

    The gentleman came to work on the computer and charged me an additional $90 because they went over the time limit. Nothing was fixed. I am having the work done with another company. I am not pleased with the company because the problem was not fixed.

    The technician who came was a very nice young man, but he didn't help me like I had hoped. I checked on the manual after he had gone, and saw that there were other things he could have tried, but the bottom line was that he was right, and I had to buy a new computer.  He was prompt, courteous, he explained things, and when it turned out there wasn't much he could do, we had a pleasant chat. I didn't pay more as he didn't take more time than the time limit on the big deal. He couldn't get into the computer system, because I couldn't remember my password, but when I looked at the booklet later, it said there was a way he could have reset the password, so I am not sure if he knew that.

    I contacted them saying that I had arranged for their services through a deal on Angie's List. I was given an appointment promptly. The representative showed up on time and performed his job very well, explaining each step on the way.

    I've got a Lenovo laptop that has served me well for years and all of a sudden the hard drive crashed right around Christmas. I really didn't want to spend money on a new computer as it was working fine before the hard drive went and finding someone wasn't easy. I ended up finding Paul of PC Nerds and he was prompt to respond. He thought it was something he could fix and we met and he had really good recommendations on what to do. He took the laptop and within a couple of days I had it back. He gave me advice on maintenance going forward and most importantly he was able to retrieve all of my data and upgraded some hardware so that I can go on without having to replace my laptop for a long time. After I got home and ran the computer it was running faster and better than ever. Call PC Nerds, it's better than buying a cheap laptop from a big store that will be slow after you add a few programs, have him make what you already have better and for less money, thanks Paul!

    My pc had been acting up for some months and recently started sending unsolicited emails of an unsavory nature to everyone in my contact list.  I called Data Doctors and explained the problem to Curwin Raymond.  He suggested, based on my description, that my computer had been infected with a virus and told me they could run a diagnostic test to determine the problem if I brought the pc into their shop.  I arrived within the hour and Curwin ran the diagnostic test in my presence.  He quickly identified a software problem that I had purchased and downloaded from what I thought was a legitimate site (for maintaining computer health and identifying potential malware/viruses) as the culprit.  Apparently "The Perfect Optimizer" program I had purchased (for $69.95) was a scam to hack into passwords, steal credit card info, etc.  It destroyed files and infected many programs on my computer.  I had to leave the computer there for several days (brought it in on Monday, picked up on Friday) but Curwin called me every day with updates on the problems related to the havoc the virus caused to my files, data, programs, etc. and kept me current with all he was doing to restore my pc to good health.  He was able to save most of my data (files, pics, etc.) but had to do a system recovery/reload that wiped out a handful of programs I'd added since my initial purchase of the computer.  Essentially what I got back was the computer I purchased brand new.  The price for a total "re-do" is $248 but, when I mentioned I was an Angie's lister, he gave me a $25 (10%) discount!  Very happy with the technical expertise and great customer service!!

    I've been using Winmark for more than 10 years but most steadily since about 2006, when the business changed hands.  I've been pleased just about every time.

    Over the past six years or so.I've purchased three laptops from this provider (they're all still working but used in different places).  I've also several times asked the own/operator of Winmark for advice and assistance.  He has been consistently helpful and responsive, and in the process, I always learn something about developments in computer technology.

    Most recently I've come to Winmark to clean up some software difficulties with a laptop I purchased there in 2009.  The shop owner resolved the issues, helped with upgrades, and so helped me keep the laptop in running order.

    Jim saved us. We asked other people to recover our data and their price were absurd. Jim did it fast and well. He continuously updated us on the progress of his work and on the possible pitfalls. He was always available when we tried to contact him. He is a serious, honest professional. I recommend him to all people that have computer problems.
