So far they have been fabulous. They've dealt with maintenance and checkup. Also some heavy duty stuff. When my dog was a puppy, another dog attacked him out of nowhere and tore up his ear. Luckily he ran into the water and the other dog was not a swimmer. The vet was phenomenal, she contacted us by email on her vacation and sent us photographs to see how it was healing. It was really fabulous. The cat had knocked over a vase and got cut very close to his eye and that was well handled as well. The price was a lot. It's really high but I don't have a basis for comparison right now. You usually wait but no too much, I've never been in there and thought oh my gosh I'm gonna miss my lunch, or whatever. They other thing about that is the staff is wonderful.

They are close to us. They are good. I really like their Dr. Hawk. He is really great. He has a great manner. I think he really gets with dogs. He is very nice. I feel like their cost is high, but their professionalism, their care and the job they do are all excellent.

It always goes well at Akaal. They have just moved to brand-new offices at 81 Chapel Street, and the place was spotless. I arrived early and my cat and dog were seen early, as there were no other patients at the time. Dr. Singh told me that my cat was due for a rabies vaccine, but that there are two kinds on the market, with one of them having a potential carcinogenic effect. The other rabies vaccine was currently unavailable -- everywhere, not just to Akaal. After discussing the pros and cons of getting the vaccine now, with the slight risk of cancer, or taking a spot on Akaal's wait list for the better rabies vaccine, I was able to make an informed decision (I'm on the wait list). I appreciated having the opportunity to have a thorough discussion about this.

Our only issue is that he takes cash/check only. He also does not work weekends and does not have someone cover him, so in an emergency you have to go to an animal hospital. His prices are very reasonable and he does not push products nor extra vaccines.

Dr. Rosenblatt and Dr. Halsey helped us care of our cat who was stricken with kidney disease. Both are compassionate individuals with excellent follow through on all aspect of our cat's care. Also, the vet technicians were excellent. When we had to put the cat on fluids, the technician kindly helped us out. Beloved Paws has since died, but I am confident he had the best care possible.

My dog was treated over the course of two years for a cancer on her leg. Dr. Shepherd removed it, and we went for nearly two years before it recurred (my dog was quite old, so we didn't think that she could handle radiation). Dr. Shepherd saw us through all stages of treatment with great compassion.

Our dog has been under the care of Dr. Storey at Weston Veterinary Clinic for two years. He is an outstanding clinician and I have heard top reviews of all the other veterinary staff. The front desk staff and assistants are kind and really seem to love their work. The first time we went to Weston Vet., I was (pleasantly) surprised by Dr. Storey's thorough & unrushed approach. He seems genuinely happy to answer any questions.

I was not impressed with this vet. He was not gentle in how he handled my new & terrified cat. The cats had been in my care only 4 days before I called him. I am disabled and housebound, so I needed a house call vet. I explained they were newly adopted and not at home yet, that they don't trust humans much, but were affectionate despite their fears. He didn't take any time to pet the cat or talk to her; he immediately scruffed her and threw her on the back as if it was a WWF wrestling match! She was terrified & SCREECHED in panic. The 2nd cat (who only known her for 4 days) attacked the vet's arm so he'd release her & she ran & hid under my bed. My regular vet never put a cat on its back to listen to its chest, so I had never seen this done. I had to crawl under the bed, pull her out & then I held her in my lap while he finished (I'd offered this initially & he'd said no). It's $150 just to have him come over, & he wasn't here very long.

I like the woman that I met with. All of the staff comes from top notch education facilities, which makes me feel very good about them. They are reasonable and friendly and I have had a great relationship with them for years. They are very thorough and gave me great ideas on how to handle the separation anxiety.

I continue to use this veterinarian because he is very kind to my cat and provides excellent care. If I have a problem or question, he always calls me back. Sometimes the calls have even been after business hours. He is very dedicated. He explains everything clearly and even though I am paying a lot of money to ensure the health of my cat, I believe the prices they charge are competitive.
