    Home Assist
Couldn't have gone better. Laurie arrived right on time both to review the jobs and on the day we scheduled the work. She saved me money and cost herself work by telling me that a couple of things I had assumed were necessary were not. On the day of the job she came fully equipped and tucked right in - work was done in about five hours pretty much without a break. Plus she was fun to talk to and was patient with my questions.

    Patterson Home Works
Randy and his crew arrived on time as promised with the proper materials and tools and created did an excellent, professional job. He was open to discussion of what needed to be done and made excellent suggestions, where there were choices to me made. He is a fine a diligent craftsman. I am happy to recommend him.

    Engineered Home Solutions
John is probably the best organized contractor I have ever met. He started on exactly the day he said he would and finished essentially on the schedule he'd indicated. For the kitchen project we had to make some design adjustments for example because of wiring concealed in walls which were coming down, but John was able to make good suggestions for how to adapt to this, and I actually prefer the outcome to the original plan. For the windows project he was the only contractor I met with who thought through how to do things so that the new sliders and trim would match what was already there. The way the house is built made this a bit tricky, and he was the only one who realized there would be an issue , because he knew exactly how the sliders we wanted to use had to be installed. He spent a couple of hours figuring out how to make it work before sending an estimate. During this kind of renovation there will usually be unexpected things that come up which lead to extra charges. I always feel one is at the mercy of the contractor at that point. In our case there were electrical and plumbing issues as well as rotting structure that had to be addressed. John communicated when this happened and told me what would cost more. While he did not always provide a precise estimate immediately, his final bill broke down the extra charges clearly and was reasonable. He also included substantial *credits* for things which cost less than expected. I would definitely use John again.

    IHS Building and Remodeling, Inc.
It went beautifully. Richard from IHS handled everything including all of the unforeseen bumps in the road with a sense of urgency and professionalism. He was a pleasure to work with and took away all of the stress of doing a remodel from another state. He was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had and quick to offer and find solutions. He was truly invaluable to the project. The work was completed in a timely fashion and was meticulously done.

    Whalen Restoration Services Inc
The ultimate product was lovely and well done. Mitigation was done immediately but the reconstruction was finished a year and a half later even though it could have been done in about 3 months. The contractor was unresponsive to any attempt at contacting them to find out what the plan or schedule was. They never called back. When we were told to email instead of calling, we tried this and they rarely responded to email either. On the plus side, when they did the work, it was of high quality.

    Larry Kays Interior Painting
Larry was terrific to work with.  He was helpful about color selection and flexible when we considered making a change.  His prep work was thorough and tidy.  I was impressed with how little disruption there was to our room arrangements while he worked - he covered extensively and shifted things a bit, but mostly worked around what was there.  He took his time, working steadily and carefully - a combination of professional competence and common sense that one rarely sees these days.  He was friendly, cheerful and a pleasure to talk to.  I also would rehire him in a minute.

    Mike's Powerhouse Crew
The man that Mike sent was very experienced and he completed the job of removing the old door and replacing it with the new in 5 hours. Note that there a lot of carpentry involved to insure the doors close properly. I will not know the final results until a big rain storm hits but I am confident that there will be no leakage. Besides, Mike gives a year guarantee on his work. I heartily recommend the Powerhouse Crew for any handyman job.

    South Shore Dream Bath LLC
They did a great job. They guys were right on time, very neat and, did everything in 2 1/2 days and did a very professional, excellent job. We're very happy with our new shower and tile floor. The quality of the material (acrylic shower surround) is top notch. The job was little expensive (or at least a bit more than we anticipated) but considering the good job they did and lack of problems, we're 100% satisfied.

    Schmidt Painting
They arrived on time, did all of the prep (including moving furniture and covering the floors) painting, and clean up - all within the timeframe they set.  Derrick's painters were very professional and the paint looks great. I would definitely use them again.

    Native Structures
The project went smoothly. Dave took our 1950's ranch bathrooms and renovated them, so they had a "beachy" feel. The planning process was sort of unexpected. Dave met with us a bunch of times before starting. He did drawings for us so we would know exactly where everything would go. He showed us samples of wainscoting, crown molding, cabinet doors, tile and paint that he would be using.  Once the project started Dave and his crew always showed up when they said they would, and kept the project limited to a large bedroom, that they cleared to do their work. We really like the way the wainscotting and the cap on top of it came out in one bathroom, and how he integrated the 1950's baseboard heat into the look and feel of the baths. When the bathrooms were completed we were happy with how they came out, and we would certainly use Dave and his guys again. The cabinets were made custom by his cabinet person, John. The vanity and bath fixtures were Grohe. He brought the tiles up from Best Tile and Daltile. He used local lumberyards on the Cape. His workers came from Rhode Island each day. The plumber was local to the Cape.
