AMike's Powerhouse CrewOwner/Contractor showed up ON TIME and worked diligently to organize my basement by cleaning and building wooden storage shelves and several other maintenance projects in other areas. During the time they were here, they WORKED continuously. I was VERY pleased with the outcome and especially with their intuitiveness. When I was confused as to what to do where, they offered REASONABLE and many times very inexpensive solutions. They left the area very clean and well organized. Carpentry and painting was done to PERFECTION ... where 'good enough' was never an alternative. Work that had been done by prior contractors and painters occasionally needed to be redone or touched up. However, no work was done without consulting with me and getting my approval. My budget was always taken into consideration. Both workers/contractors worked efficently and spent long hours in order not to be too disruptive ... always contacting me to let me know the current schedule and what the next project (of several that I had contracted) would be. Work was done within budget. I was consulted at every phase of each project when changes were necessary. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.- BARBARA C.

ASpotted Salamander Organizing & DesignI have been working with Felicia at Spotted Salamander since 2008. We first met when I had a garage full of boxes and "stuff" which badly needed weeding out, bit by bit. After that it was the kitchen, then my home office, then closets, then the library, then we went into maintenance mode. After I moved to the Cape in 2009, Felicia helped me set up the new house, which was no small feat. Her work is excellent - she is sensitive to her client's feelings and has a great feel for what can be accomplished without being pushy. She is fantastically organized herself and digs in to work through tasks in a methodical, orderly way. I have without hesitation recommended her business to friends, who are just as pleased as I am. ASimplify For LifeShe is an organizer and stager. She is fabulous. She was recommended to me by my realtor, as I was going to have her come and look at the place for staging that you now have to do because everyone watches HD TV, but she is also an organizer and she was amazing. She was really good about suggesting ways in how to de-clutter the house basically. She did not just come in like to give instructions, she kind of came and worked with me, and really helped me a lot. She has been here about three to four times. She normally works in 3-hour blocks. Once she stayed like a half-hour less or so, but she accommodated that in her billing. As an organizer and stager she saved me in terms of work and how nice my house looked when she was finished. I thought she was terrific. Her price seemed reasonable, as she did a lot of work here. I am impressed, she did things like she recommended. She helped me with things like my husband's stuff, to give away. So she said okay here are a couple of places I could make donations, you want me to call for you, so I would pick something and she would call. She did the same thing when I needed to do shredding and she found two or three companies that would do that. She has these resources, but she did not like try to push anybody on me. She was very good about willing to make calls for me to help me out. I had about a dozen cartons of books that I was just going to donate to the library and she actually carted them down stairs and out to her car, and took them to the library and got me a text for those books. I would say she was really good. If I could figure out a way to get her to come to Massachusetts when I have to unpack I would do it to unpack my house and I do not think I would manage that one.- Paula B.

AAll About CleaningMy summer cottage had been sitting closed up since 2008. Needless to say the field mice had taken up residence and there were mouse droppings everywhere you can imagine. Droppings were in every cabinet, drawer, corner and anywhere there was a horizontal surface. I had an exterminating service address the rodent problem but they would not do a clean up. I had been turned down by several cleaning agencies before Jennifer had agreed to take on the job. It was pretty nasty. The cottage was dirty and dusty in addition to the droppings. Jennifer and her crew turned a nightmare situation into a habitable environment overnight. The entire downstairs was cleaned, vacuumed, and sanitized. Every drawer and cabinet was cleaned and sanitized. All the dishes, pots, pans and glassware were cleaned and sanitized. The bathroom was under construction but they managed to get that cleaned also. I was especially pleased that before and after photographs were taken and provided to me. The difference was extraordinary. I plan to use the cottage in the next several weeks and I'm very grateful I won't have to tackle a cleaning job of that magnitude. If you want quality work done for very reasonable rates then Jennifer and her crew are the people you want to hire. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Jennifer and crew for a job very well done. She came out Saturday morning with her team, Latisia and Taynara, who stayed and transformed my home. I just stayed outside and read in the sun. When they had questions about items, they asked. No special instructions required - they did a perfect job of organizing and cleaning. AThe Tech arrived in the morning for the install. We had removed previous shades and curtains so that access to each window was easy. The Tech came prepared with all the tools he’d need; (1) a light powerful drill; (2) Level; (3) Pencil; (4) Measuring Tape. The install went very well. The Tech was familiar with the intricacies of installing window treatment hardware and didn’t run into any issues. We will definitely hire WOW MEDIA again !

ALance and Cindy from Clear Space are fantastic! We wanted a closet system that optimized the available space, gave HIM hooks galore for hats and clothes (that he otherwise won't hang up), gave HER the shoe racks of her dreams, provided LOTS of storage options, AND looked gorgeous in our newly renovated MBR. They noted everything on our wish list, and were able to show us actual products in their demo trailer (coolest set up I've ever seen!). Their pricing was fair, they provided 3D renderings (that helped tremendously), and they did a perfect job of installing the closet system. The outcome was EXACTLY what they promised and EXACTLY what we wanted. On a scale of one to ten, I'd give them a 100. They're truly a professional team offering great products and service. I cannot recommend them enough.

AI have worked with Mike’s Powerhouse Crew for 4 years on various renovations of my Cape Cod cottage. We started with new stairs to the basement, then new stairs to access the second floor, with space created downstairs for a washer/dryer. After that, a conversion of the attic into a loft bedroom, with an office and full bath plus three 5 new windows. The layout is fantastic. And they did a kitchen renovation that required moving a wall over about 5 feet to create a really nice eating nook. Lots of cabinetry was redone around a new stove and microwave, and lots more. Every one of these jobs benefited from the clever way that Mike and his team designed the renovations to make them work really well, when everyone else thought they would be impossible. The attention to detail and the finishing touches were really great, too. No problem when I asked for something more—they added it to the list and charged me for the extra work at the rate we agreed to. The costs always seemed like a bargain. As a teacher, I would give the team an A+!

FHorrible. The first day was to be the packing day. They finished early because they ran out of paper (because at least one packer used too much). So the next day, they had to finish packing, but most of those guys had NO experience packing. They were there to move stuff that was already packed - except the packing hadn't been finished. We ended up with unlabeled (!) boxes, a box of dishes (thank goodness not my good ones) with NO padding at all. Nothing. Things were packed willy nilly, mixing stuff from random, unrelated rooms. We asked them to put any boxes labeled for the basement in the center of the rooms. They didn't. (Because of this, and the unlabeled mystery boxes, we spent a Saturday after the move opening every single box to find out what the heck was in each one, and moving them to where they should have put them in the first place.) At the end of day 2, there was stuff in our shed, on our deck, and in our bathrooms that did not get packed or moved. We had to call to get the job finished. The moving day was a Tuesday. We had to wait until Friday for them to send a couple of guys to finish up. Our piano was damaged. My husband asked them to dissasemble the futon, as that was how it had been done in prior moves. "This isn't my first rodeo," was the reply. Another person told him that he wouldn't tell my husband how to do HIS job. Well, it ended up damaged. My husband's lathe table, which has multiple drawers with tools laid out neatly in them, was turned on its side, so the tools all bunched up together and made it hard to open the drawers. My brand new $200 bird feeder pole was broken because no one asked how to get it out of the ground. Much of this was communicated to the company in the follow-up questionnaire they sent. No apologies, no offer to compensate, except that we didn't have to pay for the travel for the two-man crew who came to finish things up on Friday. They were a bit more competent, and we tipped them well. I realize with Covid-19, it may be hard to get experienced workers, but the lack of training of many of the crew was disheartening. Moving is stressful, but this was a perfect storm of awful.
