ABel Islands Roofing and SidingFantastic. A carpenter who is strong on doing things with a exceptional knowledge of his trade... ie....my deck was going to be 15.5 feet by 16. Instead he made it 16 by 16 as to not cut/waste the expensive composite decking by cutting it. When he made the deck, he ran a chalk line to "square" it with the house rather than just throwing a deck on a house. The old cement slab he built it on was broken and uneven. It was unlevel about 2 inches. rather than have that be in view, he put the unevenness tucked in the back corner, out of obvious sight. He put a fascia board around the outer deck as not to leave me with having to nail lattice to hide the underside/opening for animals to run under. I am not a carpenter but can "hammer nails" as the saying goes...THESE LITTLE ATTENTIONS TO DETAILS IS WHAT MAKES HIM above the others. I have already passed on his name to two other friends who saw my deck !- Mike G.

AMike's Powerhouse CrewI have worked with Mike’s Powerhouse Crew for 4 years on various renovations of my Cape Cod cottage. We started with new stairs to the basement, then new stairs to access the second floor, with space created downstairs for a washer/dryer. After that, a conversion of the attic into a loft bedroom, with an office and full bath plus three 5 new windows. The layout is fantastic. And they did a kitchen renovation that required moving a wall over about 5 feet to create a really nice eating nook. Lots of cabinetry was redone around a new stove and microwave, and lots more. Every one of these jobs benefited from the clever way that Mike and his team designed the renovations to make them work really well, when everyone else thought they would be impossible. The attention to detail and the finishing touches were really great, too. No problem when I asked for something more—they added it to the list and charged me for the extra work at the rate we agreed to. The costs always seemed like a bargain. AMatt responded promptly and showed up on time to provide me with a possible roof replacement estimate. He was courteous, honest and professional and indicated that my roof was not as old as we thought and that I would not need a new roof at present. Our town records showed a old permit for a roof replacement, however it was obvious to him that a replacement was done more recently. I was prepared to replace the roof as part of a real estate sale. I really appreciated that he came out and provided an honest evaluation! While I did not use Matt's company's services, I would consider them for future work for roofing and/remodeling! I don't often right reviews, but I appreciate good honest service, so I felt I had to share the info.

ARudy and Gabe did an excellent job. My cottage is nearly 100 years old and very quirky. The floor came out beautifully. They were so professional and they were able to work in a tight space on such an old home. Incredible. In an old home there needs to be a lot of problem solving and they were able to make a beautiful entrance way which "flows up hill" into the 90 year old kitchen kitchen. They were able to figure it out, solve the problem of the different levels. It is gorgeous, seamless and stunning. I am thrilled. I was very comfortable having them do this project as they remolded my full bath not long ago and the bathroom looks amazing. The work was beautifully and professionally completed in a short time and everyone raves about my beautiful bathroom. Before the bathroom, I had to solve the problem of peeling ceiling plaster and the guys installed a lovely bead board ceiling in my cottage. Problem solved, cottage is adorable and cozy.
