Mulch Delivering reviews in Watertown

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • It seems all too often we hear stories of experiences with different companies when a job isn’t done properly, or perhaps doesn’t meet someone’s expectations. When it comes to Watertown Landscaping, not only was the job done properly, on time and on budget, but it was also delivered with a degree of professionalism and exceptional hands on service that sometimes seems to be a thing of the past Watertown landscaping is owned an operated by Emilio and Maria Coppola and what can only be described as a top notch, second to none, crew of staff as well. My wife and I were looking to get an area in the back resurfaced with pavers, to park a car in a deeded patch of dirt, as well as extending the pavers to provide some patio space to our very small backyard. All in all approximately 35 feet by 12 feet. After an initial consult at our property Mr. Coppola explained the different options and actually recommended the least expensive versions noting that the majority of the pavers would have a car parked over them. They provided everything we needed to make an educated decision. He promised a quote within a week and said if time was not a concern we could probably save some money too. This was in early June and we explained we hoped to have the job completed by Halloween, in time for this coming winter. Shortly after our initial consult, as promised a quote arrived via email from his wife, which we thought was fair, more than reasonable, competitive and within our budget. They are licensed, bonded and fully insured too From a service perspective, we couldn't be happier. We were kept in the loop throughout the summer with an occasional email that we could expect the job to be done by Labor day and if there was a particular time or days that worked better than others they would be able to accommodate if we provided some different dates? Our response was, anytime that works for you, just let us know and we will make sure the car isn’t parked in back. I’m an under promise over deliver kind of person so this was a breath of fresh air to me. Going out of their way to check in and see when convenient for us, was indeed a nice touch that didn’t go unnoticed. As for the actual work, Watertown landscape shined here as well. As promised, last Monday night Mr. Coppola pulled up in a large truck and dropped off a very small backhoe/loader. Tuesday morning a crew of 3 very polite men were in the space, digging up the area a few inches deep, smoothing it out and making certain it was level, laying string that would be the pattern of the pavers. Mr. Coppola came by throughout the day checking on every little detail. On Wednesday AM they returned to lay the pavers. What resulted was a work of art. In two days a patch of dirt that turned to mud when it rained was transformed into an eye pleasing surface, with reddish/terra cotta pavers that matched the shutters on our home and a gray outline pavers to give it some detail/contrast, matching the pain on the bulkhead door. Our neighbors who abut the back of the house called last night to thank us as they too didn’t like seeing the mud run off into the street every time it rained. Everyone’s happy! Thank you, Watertown Landscaping!

  • Most of the poison ivy was removed, but not all of it. The mulch that was spread was not what I expected plus it was only about 1" thick. It wasn't enough to prevent the weeds from coming through. I had a difficult time talking to the workers who did not understand English very well.

  • Overall, Very good. They got the job done quickly, were communicative, cleaned everything afterwards, and were less expensive than some other folks. They did a lot of work removing some gnarly backyard trees and shrubbery from the garden, but not the finished product so I cannot comment on plantings-we asked them not to, will do this ourselves. The only thing that could have been done more completely was to remove the roots after tilling the garden. I had 3 hours of work to remove these myself so wish I had just asked them to do it, or that they had tilled more deeply.

  • First-class work, very high quality. It was a complex job, including a driveway of permeable pavers, stone walls, irrigation, lighting, etc. Yard-and-a-Half worked closely with our designer to discuss options, finalize design, and then carried out the construction and installation with care. The work was very well done, and the crew was a pleasure to work with. We have no regrets whatsoever.

  • Roberto and his crew did a beautiful job on my yard. They were all very professional and courteous and worked extremely hard to get everything taken care of in record time. I would absolutely hire him again.

  • They came at the promised time. We had a lot of weeds throughout the yard as well as 2 smaller areas at the front of the house. They did a wonderful job, cleaned the entire area. I have asked them to come back next week to mulch everything.

  • Very pleased with this provider and highly recommend. Our yard was literally like a desert and now we have a beautiful lawn. They came in and removed all lose roots, rocks and sandy dirt and put down fresh soil and really nice, healthy sod. The crew went above and beyond. They communicated with me about where to put the sod, they helped me relocate plants and they were polite and professional. The owner was onsite to maintain the quality of the job and then they gave me more sod (for free) as we had an unexpected area that needed to be covered. In addition to the work, they even installed an irrigation system on timers to ensure the sod would live and we would have the best results possible. The irrigation system was given to us and installed for free. They went above and beyond, they care about their customers and value a job well done. We will be using their services again (and we actually used them once before for a Fall clean-up. That was also awesome).

  • sI put out several inquiries for the work on AL and Post Road was the first to respond. He estimated based on a provided pic, and the estimate was consistent with my expectations from other jobs. The scheduling was a breeze, they arrived with a team of about 5 on time and started in. After a few shovels full, Stephen noted that there was a layer of gravel a few inches down which would complicate the job a bit. I agreed to the extra work and they proceeded to separate the dirt from the gravel. I had to leave for work and returned that night to an immaculate yard, patio and driveway (they even removed weeds from the bricks  - not part of the project!). The dirt level appeared a little low and just figured that there was more dirt needed than expected. He wrote me that night to tell me that they would 2 additional yards of dirt (double the estimate) which they brought by in a few days. He asked me if $75 would be fair for the extra work and dirt.
I was very impressed with the Post Road experience. Stephan and his team did a great job. I highly recommend them and would certainly use them again.

  • The team that serviced our house was absolutely fantastic. From the estimate through the end of the work, Your Garden Curators were professional, punctual, and courteous. They understood our budget limitations and worked with us to ensure that the items highest on our priority list got done first. They even hauled away the broken fountain and a dozen hideous garden statues left over from the last owner. They were able to fit us in quickly, and all of the work was completed in one day by a really impressive trio of guys who included me in any decisions that needed to be made while they worked. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

  • Our dog had nearly destroyed our back yard. Our neighbor recommended Watertown Landscaping. Emilio, the owner, came over right away, looked over our yard, and made arrangements for his designer to take measurements. The designer, John, came by the next day, and in a few days had a plan for us. We were able to make our yard dog friendly and easy to take care of. We made several changes as the work progressed and Emilio and John were very accommodating and easy to work with. The work was done quickly, and the workers were courteous and professional. Our yard looks beautiful! We will use them again to landscape our front yard.
