The left fender of our car had been scraped and dented in a parking accident. I stopped by Penta (also known as Perfection) on a Monday and got a very reasonable estimate from Dan Bourgeois. He told me that if I brought the car back on Wednesday, he could get the job done by the end of the week. I agreed, but was surprised that Dan did not take my name or give me a written estimate (thus my "B" rating for professionalism). However, when I returned Wednesday, Dan immediately remembered the job, honored the price he'd quoted me, and got one of his workers to give me a lift back to my home. By Friday, as promised, the work was finished, and the car looked as good as new. Perfection had even vacuumed the interior, so it was cleaner than when I brought it in! The shop provided excellent workmanship, a terrific price, and speedy service. Would highly recommend to others.

Fred (owner) is delightful, fair and conscientious. I have used this body shop for 15 years and damage to 3 different cars. Each time, the work was perfect -- paint match right on the money. And, this shop is a preferred shop of Commerce Insurance, so it accepts whatever payment the insurance offers.

The folks there are really nice and they handled all of the interactions with the insurance company.  I thought they did a really good job at first, but a few months later the paint was peeling off in a few small place in the areas they fixed.  They also took a really long time to complete the work.  They had my car for almost a month.  I had rentla covered under my insurance, but if I hand't, this would have been a huge extra expense!

I've used them several times in the last several years. My other car, somebody backed into me when I was parked in front of the house, he was probably trying to U-turn. The service is just easy, I dropped the car off and 4 days later I picked it back up and it was a perfect paint job and no bumps or anything else so it was perfect. They gave me an estimate right away and they are top line. They have a very good reputation.

They were great, as usual. Process to get estimate was easy, efficient, and written estimate was provided upon request. They offered a very good one or two-day turnaround. The only hitch was that when I went to pick up the car when they said it was ready, they had forgotten to take care of the back bumper. I left it overnight again, and was able to pick it up late morning the next day. It was somewhat annoying to hike over to the place to pick up the car to find it wasn't ready, but they gave me a lift back home, and I appreciated the quick completion the next morning. I received an embarrassed acknowledgment of responsibility for the oversight, which deflected any impulse I might have had to complain about the delay. I would definitely use them again. And, they washed the car before returning it to me -- always a plus in my book.

    O'Reilly & Son Autobody
Several years ago, heavy pieces of ice slid off my neighbors roof and landed on my 2006 Camry, causing lots of deep dents and scratches. Bernie O'Reilly did the work at a cost of and gt;$7,000, which my insurance covered. Last fall (2-3 years later), I noticed spots on my hood that where the paint was peeling. I brought the car back to O'Reilly's, and Bernie repaired the peeling pain. He also touched up some other scratches for me at no charge.

VIP Auto and its owner Mario were recommended to me years ago, and once I
found them there was no need to go anywhere else. From $500 fender
bender damage to $5,000 virtually totaled wrecks (thanks to a drunk
driver), my cars have emerged from VIP Auto looking as if they just left
the dealer's showroom. And Mario is a class act: courteous, patient,
happy to answer questions and explain, and excellent at following
The shop is in an unlikely location down an driveway between 2 houses,
but it's close to Target and also to the #71 bus into Harvard Square..

When I brought the car in on a Thursday evening I was told that it would be ready the following Friday, but to call Monday after they had a chance to take it apart and see if there was any damage underneath. When I called Monday I was told it would be at least another week. I reminded him that he had said it would be ready Friday. He said he would see what he could do but to call back on Wednesday. When I called Wednesday at first I was told it would be ready sometime the following week but they would try to have it done by Friday. I encouraged him to try hard to do that. On Friday when I called he said to call the next morning and it should be ready. I called first thing Saturday morning and it was ready.

When I picked up the car it was beautiful. You couldn't tell it had been damaged. There was a scratch on the rear bumper which I had asked him to touch up when I had dropped it off, which they had forgotten to do it. When I pointed it out he said they would do it right away, which they did. My only complaint, which I didn't notice until later in the day, was there was a bunch of quarters missing from the armrest holder.

Volkswagen did a good job and were punctual.  Dropping off the car was a bit weird, theywere busy and took the insurance estimate I had, told me the insurance had not taken something into accountand would speak to Insurance company directly and told me I could go.  I had to stop and give them my name and phone numbers as they didn't ask, found this odd.  They arranged to get me a car rental ( the company they worked with was great!).  I didn't hear anything back for a few days, when I called they told me the car would be ready by that afternoon, which it was.  The car was cleaner (inside and out) than it had been in years.  Overall a very good experience

In every case, my car was fixed perfectly, right on time and on estimate. The things that were covered by insurance were handled without my ever having to be involved, just them working with the insurance company. They arranged for rental car pickup and dropoff when I needed a rental. When it is appropriate and saves money, they obtain perfectly good after-market car parts (like when I needed the interior of my van door replaced) to save me money. I trust them to take care of my cars at a fair price.
