    Ufirst masonry
Our field stone basement had not been maintained in over 15 years, and the mortar was crumbling in many places, with numerous holes used by mice and even rats to come into the basement. For a fraction of the cost quoted by other companies, Carlos first sealed off large holes with foam, then replaced all the crumbling mortar. The walls look great now, and the house is actually a few degrees warmer.

    GARDENS BY THE YARD
Gardens by the Yard (GbtY) was great! Leisha, the owner and designer, was incredibly helpful through the whole process. Shes an engineer by training and very knowledgeable about plants and hardscape. Her employees were courteous, diligent and cleaned-up after themselves. We also met her mason, Cartegiane, who we thought was fantastic. We bought our house last year and the previous owner had bricked-in a large portion of the backyard (it wasnt the most thought-out utilization of space). Before reaching out to GbtY, we searched for local landscape architects via Angies list and we were drawn to GbtYs portfolio. During Leishas first visit, we walked our property discussing our likes and dislikes. Shortly afterwards, she developed a design and we worked through several iterations balancing aesthetics with budget. GbtY uses OneNote to upload designs and track all project-related progress, which we found very useful in tracking ideas, phases, and payments. Once we settled on a design, Leisha also provided a CAD video that helped us get a sense of the space. It took a couple of months of design and scheduling before GbtY dismantled the old patio. In hindsight, we should have placed our deposit earlier to get scheduled quicker. Leisha understandably operates on a first-come-first-served basis. As the work progressed, we were in constant communication via emails, texts, and calls about the on-going work and any changes in design. In addition to the patio and garden design, both Leisha and Cartesian helped us mitigate some basement water issues by fixing our egress windows and installing a drainage system against the house. We were very impressed with the flexibility of the team while keeping aligned with our budget (we were a little crazy about our budget). Leisha would even suggest items and tasks that we could do ourselves in order to cut costs. When the final invoice arrived, Leisha graciously sat-down and went over each line-item. We are very detailed-oriented people and this was hugely appreciated. In the end (of this phase at least because we will go back with her in the spring to finish the front yard), we were a little over budget. However, the fact that our backyard is BEAUTIFUL makes it well worth it! Our neighbors constantly tell us how wonderful it looks as we water our garden and maintain our new lawn.

    Elite Stoneworks Masonry & Construction
I was very impressed with how quickly and diligently the work was done. The workers even came on the weekend! They cleaned up extremely well and they even dug holes for some bulbs I had bought. I would definitely recommend them and hire them for other work.

    CF Masonry
Carlos and his partner were absolutely awesome. I usually am 'moderately dissatisfied' with contractors, but these guys are top notch. He came to quote the job within a few days of me reaching out on Angies list, and I received a quote the next business day. His pricing seemed very competitive, he was the second least expensive quote that I received out of 4. They were very clear in telling me what to expect regarding my lawn getting a little torn up from the required bobcat, which was very helpful in understanding the whole job. His attention to detail was very high, and made the granite slab fit perfectly under the existing last stair step! The short walkway from the deck stairs to under the deck was built very well and beautifully. They dug out a bit under our deck and created a retaining wall to flatten it out under there; and spread A LOT of 3/4" crushed stone for us.

    O & M Masonry
O&M personnel were very pleasant, courteous and hard-working. The masonry looks great. The one issue I had was clean-up. I was shocked that left-over cement was poured onto our lawn. Sending pictures of the hardened cement patches did not result in corrective action.

    Lourival Masonry
From initial contact to finishing job all very professional. The crew arrived as scheduled on Monday and work was finished by Tuesday. The demolition to the installation of all was perfect and the outcome is beautiful. The overall experience was great and the work exceeded my expectations. I now have a fantastic walkway with gorgeous granite steps. I plan to do more work in 2019 and will definitely use Lourival Masonry

    Elite Stoneworks Masonry & Construction
We hired Elite Stone Works (Andre) to redo our backyard. Our project consisted of multiple items - removal of an existing natural stone patio, demolition of an existing firepit and conversion to a water feature, installation of a new paver based patio, a natural gas firepit, an outdoor kitchen, footings for a pergola and a dog relief area because let's be honest, we are not going to let me beautiful new lawn be destroyed by dog urine. To say that we enthusiastically recommend Andre and his company would be a significant understatement. We have undertaken a number of projects at our home including its overall construction, finishing of a basement and a complete remodel of a master bath. Let's be clear, EVERY project has issues. The true measure of a professional is how they address those issues when they occur. Andre is unlike any tradesman with which we have worked. He is incredibly responsive. I generally make it a rule to avoid contact outside of normal business hours unless there is a critical issue that needs to be addressed in order for work to continue. Any time that I contacted Andre, be it during business hours or in the rare case of after hours, he either answered or returned my call in an hour or less. Each interaction, even at times when I was frustrated or concerned, he kept a calm demeanor and worked with me to find a solution. The quality of the workmanship is absolutely excellent. Andre's team (especially Wilbur - seriously, ask for him on your project) are excellent. To say that I am meticulous would be a disservice to Wilbur. I assumed the role of general contractor on this project. I work from home so I would often check in during the day and address small items that were not aligning to my expectations/standards. As I said, I am beyond meticulous so this is not a critique of the work but an acknowledgement of my zeal. Each time Wilbur and Andre happily accommodated my input and made the necessary adjustments. In terms of the project timeline and budget, we were well over our timeline for this project. This was owing to two primary factors. First, the spring was brutally wet. This resulting in not being able to get heavy equipment into our backyard to aid with the excavation tasks for weeks. Second, this project was very complex with multiple sub contractors needing to coordinate. Without a seasoned general contractor, we simply did not coordinate particularly well on some items. This is in no way on Andre. If there is one thing I can share with anyone taking on a project of this scale and scope, it is to find a general contractor. The added expense is well worth the experience they bring to the project. In terms of budget, Andre was exactly on budget. When we added scope, he was fair and open about the additional cost of the addition and then we were allowed to make a decision. There was never a feeling that he underbid the project and then tried to recoup costs through change orders. We acknowledge our additions to the project and as I said, he was extremely fair about them. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the outcome of the project. The area has changed our entire backyard and for that matter our home. We, without any reservation, are thrilled to write this review and strongly recommend Andre and Elite Stone Works for your project. We only wish we could attach more pictures to share the amazing work that Andre and his team completed.

    Stonehedge Walls
After looking at the job, Bill came back within 2 weeks, as he said, to start the job. He and his son, Michael, worked here 5 or more days. The wall is beautiful, rebuilt possibly to better than it was built 200 years ago! They used all the original stones and stones found on the property. Better yet, Bill will repair free of charge, should anything happen to it. I feel fortunate to find craftsmen like this who appreciate the old and natural and seemed to love the work!

    New England Stonemasonry Inc
Went back and forth for over a year, first by phone and e-mailed pics, in April 2017. Robert Young came out and saw the wall in person in November and said he'd start that week. He seemed to understand what was wanted. "His team" didn't start that week, but he promised that the wall would still be done before winter. After no communication, he called and e-mailed on Feb. 15 that he'd work on the wall that afternoon. Then, no more communication until I found and hired someone else last week.
