    I had been a loyal customer of sal ferros equipment repair for over twenty years. Sadly they are no longer in business. Recently i needed someone to repair my leafblower. And a friend recommended spencers small engine repair. My leafblower is now running like new again. I am now having my snowblower tuned up By spencers. They even picked the snowblower up and transported it to their shop for a small fee. I highly recommend them to anyone needing small engine repair.

    Vinny was great and very knowledgeable. I had an older model Ariens snowblower that needed a tune-up and repairs and he knew all about it at first glance. Vinny picked up the snowblower, took it back to his shop, and then called me with recommended repairs and a quote. He made the necessary repairs and also tuned it up (oil change, spark plug change, belts check, etc.). He got my snowblower back to running like it was new, and delivered it back to me within a reasonable time.

    Minute Man Repair
    I needed a shear pin replaced in my snowblower and a co-worker recommended Minute Man.  I dropped by the store to buy a couple shear pins figuring I could change it myself and the woman there -- I guess that was Beth? -  was very helpful.  Got home and tried and tried to get the pin out, but it wouldn't budge and I didn't want to break anything so I called them and arranged to have the snowblower picked up.  I called Tuesday afternoon and amazingly they came out Tuesday night.  They quoted the cost of the repair and said I might also need to have the belt replaced since I hadn't had the snowblower serviced in the 14 years I've owned it.  They thought they might be able to fix the snowblower by Friday, which was a godsend as we are expecting another big snow on Monday.
      I called Thursday afternoon since I hadn't heard anything, and the person who answered the phone said the work hadn't started yet but they thought they might get to it later that day. I got a call later in the afternoon and he said they were working on it and thought they might be done in another hour and would bring the snowblower by.  That night!  Thursday!!
       They brought the snowblower by later Thursday ngiht and it started right up.  It turns out I couldn't get the pin out because it was actually a bolt that had come loose from the handle and gotten wedged into the shear pin hole.  They gave me some maintenance tips and now I can't wait for the snowstorm on Monday to try it out.  Eddie also mentioned I could get an electric starter added to my snowblower so I didn't have to use the pull cord.  I will definitely get that done the next time I send the snowblower in for repair/tune-up.
      I give Eddie and Beth top marks because they 1) came promptly to pick up my snowblower, after I got home from work; 2) gave me an accurate estimate of the cost of the work; 3) were polite and professional with every interaction; 4) finished the work before their own deadline despite this being the height of their busy season; 5) returned the snowblower again later in the evening so I didn't have to miss work; 6) gave me some maintenance tips.  I haven't used the snowblower yet but I assume it will work like a charm.  If not I know I can call them and they will do their best to solve the problem.

    Called in for an estimate on time and received an estimate of at least a week based on it being the busy season for lawn mower repair. I delivered the lawn mower that day, a Wednesday, and received it back the next Wednesday. The carburetor needed to be replaced. All said and done, the mower runs like a champ again. When I picked up the mower I was provided with a gentle, almost fatherly, reminder to not store fuel in the mower over the winter. This was something I 'knew' but didn't really know. Needless to say I get it now.

    Thirteen year-old lawnmower would start, but then stall after a few minutes of operation. When we dropped it off for repair, we discussed different options given the age of the machine, and decided that a tune-up would be fine but would hold the line on a carburetor replacement. We found everyone helpful and willing to take time to explain the repairs. Although it was mid-summer, the turn-around time was just two days (we brought it in on Monday and it was ready on Wednesday). The mower runs like a new machine. Great job!

    I had been having problems with oil leaking slowly from my mower. I brought it in for an estimate to see if it was worth repairing. They cleaned it (thoroughly) and tested it, and found no leaks. They said it might have been from overfilling the oil at the beginning of the season. I paid a small amount for the cleaning and test, which was very reasonable (it's cleaner than I've seen it in years), but I would have appreciated to know up front what the cost was. The evaluation took a little longer than I expected, but that was probaly due to the season (everybody else had their mowers in for service).

    When I called for a quote for sharpening, they were unsure if they could sharpen the blade from my electric mower and discouraged me from bringing it in. The price they quoted was $15 to $20. Another vendor did the work without qualm for half the price.
