  • Well. We purchased a tree in September and Mahoney's was able to plant the tree and applied all necessary fertilizers and mulch. We had previously dug the hole (but Mahoney's would have done that as well). The cost of the tree was $225.00 plus tax, planting was the same cost as the price of the tree (+$225.00) plus a delivery fee of $85.00. The tree is guaranteed for one year.

  • From initial contact to finishing job all very professional. The crew arrived as scheduled on Monday and work was finished by Tuesday. The demolition to the installation of all was perfect and the outcome is beautiful. The overall experience was great and the work exceeded my expectations. I now have a fantastic walkway with gorgeous granite steps. I plan to do more work in 2019 and will definitely use Lourival Masonry

  • Leo and his team are great!! I've used them for many occasions. Always on time and finished the job on time as promised. I highly recommend Leo and this team for any masonery and landscaping projects!! His price was always more than resonable.

  • I have no complaints about the work performed. The work was excellent. Each time, the service was efficient and timely and the workers were friendly, polite and accommodating. I will hire them in the future whenever I need construction or carpentry work performed.

  • They were prompt and worked a lot doing what I could not have done by myself. They removed weeds, roots and smoothed out the area, it looked fine. Everything but the amount of material was fine. I didn't keep track of how much loam and bark mulch was put down, but the plan was to do two inches of new loam, and 4 inches of mulch. Now a few weeks later, it's time to plant, and I see there was no more than 1 inch of mulch anywhere. Just now he came here to see what I was complaining about, and he digs, sees that there is just 1 inch of mulch and he declares that it is "a lot." I said it's not 4 inches, he said it's a lot. Um, OK, not really true, clearly not true, but OK. We’re done here.

  • In a word -- great! Our renovation was being held up by our Building Department, which wouldn't grant the permit without a plot plan. Whereas the other ~10 surveyors I contacted told me they were scheduling anywhere from 4-8 weeks out, Tom was able to come to the property within three days of my initial call, and we had the stamped plot plan in hand within one week. I will say that while he felt he was very competitively priced, we found several others who priced the same services for several hundred dollars less. But these were the same guys who said 4-8 weeks, so the price difference was worth it. Tom was very easy to work with, also.

  • We had a very positive experience. I called and within a few days Sean (the owner) was out to the property and provided an estimate the same day. Sean quoted $3700 which included the removal of 5 tall pine trees (approximately 80-100 feet each with 1 located in the front of the house, 2 on the side and 2 in the back yard), crane operation for removal of the trees, a police detail because the house is located on a very busy main road, and stump grinding. Within 2 weeks of Sean's initial visit, the trees were removed. It took approximately 2 additional weeks to have the stumps ground but only due to the fact that the machinery had been in the shop. The mulch from the grinding was very easy to clean up. Sean coordinated the entire project including the police detail and stump grinding.

  • After looking at the job, Bill came back within 2 weeks, as he said, to start the job. He and his son, Michael, worked here 5 or more days. The wall is beautiful, rebuilt possibly to better than it was built 200 years ago! They used all the original stones and stones found on the property. Better yet, Bill will repair free of charge, should anything happen to it. I feel fortunate to find craftsmen like this who appreciate the old and natural and seemed to love the work!

  • Very well. I asked Barrett Tree East in mid December 2017 to give an estimate for pruning our cherry and dogwood trees. Keith Bernard came over and assessed them. Unfortunately, the cherry tree had been damaged by the drought two years ago and it had become infected. I had not realized the extent of the damage. Keith said that we might be able to keep the tree going for two or three more years, but it was inevitable that it would have to be taken down. We decided to do so. Keith also gave me information about other possible plantings. Brady Pierre, the Client Relationship Manager emailed an estimate which Keith had prepared within a few days. A date was set for March 19th. In the week before the 19th, Keith emailed to confirm that the time was still good for us. I asked and found that I could pay by check or credit card and they would email a receipt. At 8:30 Brendan and another man from Barrett arrived with the chipper truck. We talked over the project. They had expected the snow and shoveled to areas they needed. Within two hours the tree was down and the other trees and shrubs trimmed. They gave me a few sections and branches which I had requested, chipped everything else, and swept up. I then wrote out a check. They left and a few hours later another team came to drill out much of the stump. They covered it with a light topsoil. Barrett Tree Service East did everything they said they would and did it in an efficient and pleasant manner. Their model of service is to be emulated!
