    America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses
I walked in at noon to see if they would accept my insurance. The receptionist said they could put me in at 12:30. They were very accessible. They were prompt in conducting the eye exam. They gave a lot of information concerning cost and value for two pair of glasses or one pair and bifocal. They were very communicative. The whole process took about a half an hour.

    Bradley, Dr. Mark S.
Dr. Bradley explained what was wrong with my eye and prescribed something he thought would give me long-term relief. The medicine he gave was meant to be used only for a brief time period because he said it was very strong. He also explained that he only works a particular portion of each month and then was away the rest of the time. However, he said that if I really needed to reach him, I had only to phone his office and his secretary assistant would be able to get a message to him.
After I left his office, I used the medicine and it worked fine for the amount of time it was prescribed for me to use it. Then the symptoms returned, but I wasn't sure I should use the medicine for a longer time period. I called his office to relate this to his sec'y even though this would be during one of Dr. Bradley's and quot;awayand quot; times. I was hoping she would relay the information to him, and get back to me with his directions. To my surprise, she told me to phone him on another number and tell him this myself. Although I was reluctant to bother him during his and quot;awayand quot; time, I did call him. When he spoke with me, he sounded quite annoyed and told me to make an appointment to see him at a time when he was at his practice.
This made me feel really terrible, and I thought his assistant had given me bad information. I never returned to see him.

    Paris, Dr. Stephanie A.
I tried contact lenses after not having luck with them 20 years back due to my astigmatism. The eye doctor I had back 20 years ago didn't try at all to correct the terrible blurriness in one eye that occurred when I put the contact lense in (the other eye also had a similar astigmatism, but the contact lens was fine for that eye.) He just told me I had dry eyes and that the contact lens rotated and that's what caused the blurriness. He told me to use eye drops, but that didn't help the blurriness.
The same thing happened again this time, however, Dr. Paris immediately checked out my vision (as part of her normal exam during the contact lens fitting). She took a look at my eye while the contact lens was in and diagnosed the problem as the lens not being able to and quot;falland quot; into place due to the shape of my eye. She reordered the contact lense to correct for the way the contact lens was misfitting and I can see perfectly from the difficult eye. It's too bad that I have gone 20 years thinking that I can't wear contact lenses, but that it was just that the doctor I had back then was not as thorough as Dr. Paris.
My 12 y ear old daughter also got her first contact lenses with Dr. Paris and the doctor was very patient when teaching my daughter how to put in the contacts. The office staff also gave my daughter extra coaching. Everyone is very good at what they do in Dr. Paris' office (Welch Optics.)
Dr. Paris is great. I would recommend her to all my friends.

    Paris, Dr. Stephanie A.
She is very good. Her personality stands out the most about her. She is on time and the people in her office are nice. She is confident. She used to be in another place that I didn't like but she was good. When she opened her own place my wife went there first and I followed a couple of years later. Everything turned out okay. The staff is very good.

    Henderson, Dr. Bonnie A.
She's very professional, very thorough and very knowledgeable. I trust her with my eyes. I only have an issue with her availability at the moment. She's up in Waltham and I started going to her because I plan on retiring in a couple of years. I wanted to start going to a doctor in the area that I plan to retire so as far as her availability goes, it's my issue and not hers. As far as getting in with her is excellent. The office is very nice. Her punctuality is okay because one may have to wait. Her staff is excellent. I've been going to her for about 4 years and would continue to see her in the future. She was recommended by another doctor that I had been to up in Boston and I've been very happy with her. She's pretty personable. She does ophthalmology and she doesn't have glasses in her office. I personally prefer that because I like to go get my eye glasses in the office where the doctor is. Once I get new glasses, she's actually checked them for accuracy.

They do their job and their prices are reasonable. I never had to go back or have someone else do the job later. I took my broken glasses once and they did the repairs right away. I feel comfortable with them. I wouldnt consider going to anybody else for eye care.

He is a MD and he does the eye pressure test for my diabetes besides doing my regular vision tests. He keeps a very close watch on my eye pressure. He has prescribed very good glasses for me. If the glasses break I can go there and fix it and it does not cost me anything.

My wife has been going there for several years, and I have gone there once. The quality of their eye exams is very good. The quality of their frame and lenses was first rate at a very good price. It fitted reading glasses. They have bifocal for close reading, long distance, and driving. I bought bifocal sunglasses for the same price that I bought my 2 pair of glasses elsewhere, and I was very pleased with that. They were responsive, and their technician gave me very good technical advice about frames. They are very professional, and I have had good appointments with them.

    Frederick, Dr. A R
The doctors in this office are knowledgeable, helpful and thorough in their examinations. I had the ophthalmology examine first and the doctor suggested I get my eyes examined. They got me in to the optometrist within twenty minutes even though I was not scheduled for an eye examination.

    Andrejko, Dr. Phyllis
I got a very thorough exam and was fitted with progressive lenses and bifocal contacts which have been wonderful! I can wear my contacts again and see my phone and the dashboard of my car without wearing reading glasses to drive. Dr. Andrejko and the entire staff at OCB are great!
