Plumber reviews in Wakefield

  • I was very impressed initially with Eric's phone demeanor -- very respectful and earnest. He made an appointment with me to evaluate whether or not I had a more or less serious problem with a potential leak. When he arrived, Eric was equally considerate and efficient in person, expressing a knowledgeable assessment of my situation, and providing practical and reassuring advice on how I could move forward by taking simple steps on my own. Eric was only at my condominium for 10-15 minutes, and elected not to charge me anything for his visit. Fortunately, my situation turned out to be on the minor side, but I would definitely start with Eric again if I needed more involved help in the future.

  • Hire him! (Honest, punctual, courteous professional A+) Please read this review. Our copper pipes kept freezing due to poor insulation and location in our house. I called Eric based on his high reviews here on Angie's list and he didn't disappoint! I called him at 2pm one day. He was already working a job but came out to my house at 9:30pm. He recommended switching my pipes from copper to pex, then routing it closer to the house. He also had me call the town to switch my shut off valve before working. I was eager for him to start but he knew the current valve was very old and could cause much worse damage. I'm very glad we did. He scheduled to be at our house at 8:00am and was here 30 minutes before hand. He made very minimal dry wall cuts and we paid exactly what he quoted. He was extremely nice, courteous of our space and cleaned up completely after himself. I strongly recommended Eric, he will give you a fair price and do what he can to stay within his quote. Although we hope never to have a need for a plumber again, if we do we'll be calling Eric.

  • Eduardo and team built two bathrooms in my house, and they did a great job with it. They were attentive to my details and made sure that the work was top notch. Eduardo is responsive to all questions and takes an interest in making the client happy. He worked with my schedule and met with me before/after work to understand my needs and bring my vision to fruition. Being very attentive to detail, I often asked for something to be done differently, and he was not hesitant to redo the work again. Great value and reasonably priced!

  • This is a flat rate company (which they never told me up front) that charges you a fixed amount regardless of the complexity or time it takes to do the job. On top of it, their rates are absolutely ridiculous! They basically wanted to charge me $1600 to connect an existing plumbed p-trap to a garbage disposal (that I supplied) and a drying sink. This is the exact same configuration that I had prior to my kitchen reno. We're talking about a few PVC fittings and 2-3 hours of work tops. That's like $500/hr!! Then of course comes the call to management to try to reduce it and somehow they magically got down to $850-950 to do it. I still told him to leave and gladly paid the required $49 up-front charge to make him do so. He ended up arriving 2 hours early from the previous job. Now I know why. They probably told him and his pricing to pound sand as well. Anyone who's sat through the Renewal by Andersen scheme would find this familiar. This company's owner is a scam artist. They inflate the pricing hoping to either get an idiot to bite on it, and if not, they drop it trying to make you think you're getting a bargain. And with the $49 fee you're more likely to hire them so you don't lose that money because there's a $50 coupon on their site for any service provided. Do yourself a favor and find a plumber that works hourly and gives your their hourly rate up front. Lesson learned.

  • We just finished a remodel of our kitchen and bathroom with Matt Brooks and Green Valley Construction. We have a small house and were looking to make the room work better for us. Matt opened up a load bearing wall that separated our kitchen and living room. This allowed us to redesign the kitchen layout. While we didn't add actual square footage to our home, Matt's work and suggestions really opened the space and really is such an improvement. He also completely renovated our only bathroom. The turnaround was actually a lot quicker than we anticipated and the work was done very well. His entire crew was professional and friendly. It was actually a pleasure having Matt and Co. around the house. Not only is his work fantastic but he's a great guy as well, which actually makes the whole home renovation process a lot more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Green Valley Construction and Matt Brooks. Quality work and trustworthy. Thanks Matt.

  • I was very happy with the services performed, and with Cranney's proactive way of reaching out to me to set a time to perform the work I paid for. They offered me additional services as well as additional service plans, but I stuck only with the services I paid for. Would definitely use again.

  • It went fine. I went there first, they understood what the problem was and I was able to describe it. We agreed on a time that was the next day or the day after -- it was not an emergency call --  it was just something we had to get done. As I remember I think it was the same plumber and I think everything went very well. I wasn't out shopping around for price, basically he had become my plumber.

  • I talked to two or three different companies I found in the local yellow pages and he was the best as far as availability and price at the time -- the combination of the two of them, at the time. I was very happy with the service.

  • John returned my call promptly and was able to come a short time later. He was very professional and easy to work with. He had the required replacement parts right on his truck. He also had the equipment to cut through the old bolts that were too rusted to unscrew. He tested to make sure the leak was fixed and then cleaned everything up. Overall, a very positive experience.

  • In each case Sylvester Plumbing arrived on the date and time scheduled (at times on an emergency basis). The work was fast and well done. Typically the layout of the piping was a clear improvement over the previous routing. All materials were top quality. The premises were always left neat and clean when Sylvester Plumbing left. I am completely satisfied with Sylvester Plumbing.
