    Kirby Masonry
Jason was wonderful to work with!! As someone who knows very little about designing a driveway, Jason was patient, informative and knowledgeable. He took the time to send me samples and pictures and respond to my many inquiries of what my vision of my driveway could look like. Jason and his crew were prompt, professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend using Kirby Masonry.

    MasonWorks LLC
Amazing experience. Likely the best contractor experience I have ever had. They came out and looked at the wall and I had a written estimate that afternoon. The price was extremely good, much less than we had anticipated. When they were then able to schedule the work, they stuck to a very aggressive timeline and had completely rebuilt the wall in 6 days, much faster than anticipated. The work was excellent and the wall looked much better than we thought it would. Our neighbor immediately hired them to build a wall on his property before they were able to move their equipment.

    American Made Masonry LLC
The work was excellent. Jim, the owner was very pleasant to work with and showed up everyday that the work was being done to check on it. Both of the men who did the work were excellent. Dave is a perfectionist and getting the steps perfectly level was a must for him. The design of how the granite was laid down was aesthetically pleasing as well as structurally sound. I would hire them again without any hesitation. They did an excellent job and I am very satisfied.

It went really well. We had a deadline we had to meet and all the work got done on time. The job was performed very professionally and John and his crew couldn't have been nicer. Everyone involved was extremely satisfied.

Jeff and his team were phenomenal. Were very quick to provide an estimate and then follow through on the project. While not the cheapest, looking back in hindsight, definitely the best value. The entire process was excellent. The estimate was detailed and broke down all the costs for the project so I was able to understand the job breakdown. I was most impressed by Jeff's team, they were the hardest working contractors I have ever encountered, the job moved so significantly faster than anticipated and as a result made the process as painless as possible. We could not be happier, they delivered above and beyond what we were expecting in a fraction of the time. Would recommend Masonworks in an absolute flash and should we ever need them again will not bother with other quotes.

Bautista did a great job.  I've used them before on other projects (new walls, basement floors) and they do good work.  The owner, Eder, is good to work with and very nice.  They do professional work and communicate well.  Prices are competitive.  I'm happy and would use them again.

    American Made Masonry LLC
We replaced brick steps that had concrete risers that were about 40 years old and were deteriorating badly, especially after last winter when we used a lot of salt on them.  The landing had been made of bluestone, and pieces were coming loose as the mortar around them crumbled.  The new steps are granite with brick risers that match the brick at the front of the house.  Some of the contractors we had interviewed before hiring American Made had told us that they would be unable to match the house brick, which is what we had previously on the risers.  But, this didn't pose a problem for American Made.  We are pleased with the outcome and the process.  Jim Linskey and American Made Masonry were professional, courteous, considerate of our needs, and they cleaned up well after the job was done.
The only drawback with using American Made is that they are busy.  In our case, they were booked the entire summer, which they told us when they provided the estimate in May.  So, they held our deposit for some four months before beginning work on the job.  This was expected, but for some people, it might be a concern.  Jim Linskey responded promptly to our email messages when we had questions about scheduling.

Incredibly. We couldn't be happier with the final result. Our bees are happy too! Since the garden has gone in, we have butterflies, bees and birds in abundance -- kind of amazing. Throughout the project, Leisha worked with us all. We talked often and walked in the space, designing together and thinking through our approaches. We gained enormous confidence in her judgment and knowledge -- her ideas were excellent and she brought a wealth of important and deep knowledge on native plants. Her teams were focused and pleasant -- again, it felt throughout like a true partnership. We knew it was going to be a summer-long project -  and it was -- but the end result is simply beautiful.

I got three estimates. MasonWorks was the middle estimate, but Jeff Souza was very customer service oriented and I appreciated the confidence he had in his company/workers. Unfortunately, that estimate was the last time I saw Jeff.
Bruno was the project manager, and 3-4 workers did the job. They worked hard, and they were mindful of my desire for the patio to slope slightly away from the house -- for water runoff purposes.
One problem arose when, instead of using fresh loom as agreed upon to improve the grading of the backyard, the workers used the old dirt they dug up in building/expanding the patio. That dirt was filled with rocks and weeds. When I complained to Bruno, they dug some of it out but not nearly enough. They did add fresh loom.
A day or so later, when I went to check on the finished job, I was poking around and realized that they never removed the entire old concrete pathway as agreed to. Instead, the workers just covered half of it with the old dirt/new loom. I was pretty unhappy, since the purpose of removing the concrete was to improve water management (and because they were supposed to remove it all). Again, I had to call Bruno to complain.
In the end, they further dug up the old dirt, demolished and removed the old pathway, and added more fresh loom.
The quality of the work on the patio was very good, and the new steps (with limestone tops) was also solid. It just seems the workers took a few shortcuts. A project manager should have popped by at least once a day to check on things to ensure that the job was being done as agreed upon. If they fix that moving forward, I would use them again.

Boston's Best Chimney gave me over $28,000 estimate ($24,000 discounted) for rebuilding the chimney from the peak up. Jeff inspected the chimney from the roof and the interior fireplaces, and he determined the flue lines are all intact and repointing is possible. It was less than $5,000 for the whole repair, two lock top dumpers, and the huge chimney cap (plus another over-sized cap for the other chimney.)
Donna is super responsive, responding to our e-mails quickly. Jeff was punctual and courteous. He got the job done as scheduled despite the struggle with the vines wrapped around the chimney. I felt lucky to find the Four seasons chimney. I will use them again for future chimney works.
