The repaired A/C system works well, and the quality of the parts and service was good.
Provider didn't provide an itemized estimate.  Only provided an itemized receipt when requested after the fact.  The listed retail price for the replacement motor was approximately 5X the retail purchase price from Amazon.com.  A 500% mark-up on a part is excessive.  I spoke to the company about that fact, and received a refund of about $80, bringing the charge to me for the replacement part down to approximately 4X the retail purchase price, which is still excessive.

He was prompt, courteous, and very helpful. The problem was not as we feared the machine but caked up soap. He advised us to remove sock we used to filter outflow. He also advised us to keep our old refrigerator because new ones weren't as good. Excellent job.

    Yale Appliance + Lighting
I had a good salesperson and was able to select a refrigerator that worked well for us. I decided to get an extended warranty; the salesman did not push it on us. I was glad that I did, because the freezer broke and needed several new parts. The only thing that I was not happy about was that a shelf that broke was not covered by the warrany. I felt that the shelf, which had not been mishandled, should have been covered. This cost me $75.00, which I unhappily paid. Overall, however, Yale has provided excellent service with competitive pricing, and I will continue to shop there.

    At Your Service Appliance Repair
Paul was able to come the day I called. He was courteous and efficient and easy to work with. He found and fixed the problem with my dishwasher, which was a piece of plastic stuck in the drainage assembly. I would call him again.

He was excellent.  He came out the same day that I called.  He fixed it perfectly and was very neat and clean.  He explained what the problem was and how to prevent it from happening again.  He also looked at my other appliances and gave me tips on how to make them last longer.

They claimed to have fixed the leak and left a bill for over $200 for parts and labor. It started leaking again a few weeks later. They came again and this time charged $135. It still leaks but I'm not bothering to call them again.

    A & E FACTORY SERVICE
It was a TERRIBLE experience. The technician A&E sent to do the recall repair changed the defective relay but when he was finished the fridge no longer worked. He mumbled something about needing to order a different part and practically ran from the house, leaving a non-working fridge and no information about when he would be back to fix it. That was a Tuesday. I assumed he would return that day (he didn't) or that someone would call me to tell me what was going on. (No one did.) Thursday morning I called A&E to find out what was going on. They said he had ordered a part and it would be 3-5 days before it arrived. I said that we could not wait that long, and could they please send someone over with a part sooner. They agreed to send someone Friday between 9 and 5. We waited all day for the repairman, who arrived around 4:30. He looked at the refrigerator and said he needed to order a part -- the same thing the other guy had said. I told him that I understood when A&E agreed to send him it was because he could fix it that day. He said, no, he had not gotten any information about our situation before coming to our house and he had not read the service report from the last guy's visit. So we wasted a full day waiting for him for nothing. But that is not the end of the story. The following Wednesday, the first repairman returned with the part he had ordered, but was unable to fix the fridge. I called A& E, furious, and they agreed to send someone else that Friday. (It had now been 10 days since the first service call.) That Friday, I waited 3 hours for someone to arrive. The second repair guy came back and said that he still could not fix it because he still did not have the right part. The first guy had ordered the wrong part in the first place, which was why he could not fix it on Wednesday. I could not believe that there was no way for him to know that in advance and that STILL no one had ordered the right part. He ordered it on the spot. I called A&E and begged them to have the part FedExed so that it would arrive Saturday -- the repairman (who felt sorry for me) even agreed to come back on Saturday to install it A&E refused. They said they could only send it standard shipping, which takes 3 to 5 days. The correct part arrived Tuesday, two weeks after the first repair guy rendered our fridge inoperable and supposedly ordered the part he needed to fix it. The second guy came the next day and installed it, and now the fridge works. We never were charged any money, but we had to take time off of work 5 times to meet the repair men and we went 15 days with no refrigerator. I talked to A &E customer service many, many times during that two weeks and they were completely unhelpful, even rude. [When I told one customer service rep, Vincent, what was going on, he said, "What does any of this have to do with me?"] It was absolutely the worst service experience of my entire life.

    Waltham Appliance Service
Good service, very punctual, very nice. But I wish they had told us on the phone that they were not an authorized service company for our fridge. The appliance was under warranty and the service would have been free had they directed us to an official repair shop.

    Belmont Appliance Service
Refrigerator was leaking on the floor. Called Belmont Appliance and they came next day. No one was home so we left the back door open. They came in, found the water shutoff (for the ice cube maker) in the basement above the dropped ceiling, fixed the water regulator and left a clean job site. Tried calling me on my cell phone to confirm the work, but when I didn't answer went ahead and did it. That was the right thing to do since the cost of repair was very small compared to cost of replacement.

    American Appliance
We purchased an extend warranty for our Kitchaid dishwasher and refrigerator which was fortunate given that we've had to make a dozen service calls in the last 19 months. The assigned repair facility was terrible; they were late, didn't show up at all or never had the correct part. We begged the warranty company to send another company out this time and were assigned American. They called the day of the appointment, said they could show up early. The repairman was extremely courteous, remove his shoes before entering the house. As he went to work he put down a drop cloth to protect the hardwood floor. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made some suggestions about other some other problems which had occurred. Unlike the other repair facility he seemed very knowledgeable and was very efficient.
