  • All of the projects went very well. Sam provides a cost-efficient estimate, sticks to the estimate he provides, stays on the job throughout and follows up to ensure successful completion. We recommend him highly.

  • We did not budget to do a kitchen remodel this summer, but because Kevin and William did such an amazing job with our side porch and bedroom remodel, we had to keep them on board to work on our kitchen. Kevin is extremely responsive, whether it is via email, cell or text. He was able to provide me a quote right away, gave us with a bunch of samples for the granite and tiles for the back splash and worked within our budget. Kevin and team worked hard to finish the remodel within a week, and everything came out beautifully! They are very detail oriented and made sure that we are happy with the way everything came out. We highly recommend Kevin and his team, and look forward to working with them again!

  • Heath is outstanding and a real find! He combines great craftsmanship with reliability and does it all at a very reasonable price. I was worried entrusting someone I didn't know to finish the sunroom which had been a major investment for us. Relying on Angie's List reviews and the sense of knowledge Heath projected as he discussed the project with me, I took a chance. Ecstatic that I did! Everything was done top notch. All the rooms he worked on look great. He pays attention to details that I would certainly miss. We also appreciated and came to rely on his sense of aesthetics. For example he pointed out issues that we already had concerns about regarding the way the deck had been finished, not because he was trying to add work but because it didn't look right to him. He also is great at figuring out the typical issues that contractors encounter along a project. For example, moving our microwave was very tricky because it involved completely redoing the upper shelving the microwave was attached to while connecting it to an appropriate power source. We also used a metal material for our backsplash which was not as easy as ceramic to work with but Heath did a great job. All looks great! He's also just a very easy guy (and a good guy) to work with! I couldn't be happier. We will be using him again, though I suspect once word fully gets out on how good he is he will become more and more difficult to schedule.

  • I contacted the Company and told them about my project. They were honest and friendly, they told me upfront it was not the type of project they do. I'm glad they replied quick and honest, it's a relief now days to meet honest people. If I have the need for future projects I will contact Paolillo Company again. Thanks! Nick

  • I can't thank John and his team enough for a fantastic job!!! We found John after reading his reviews on Angie's list and bringing him by for an estimate. From the start to the finish John was great. Always kept us in the loop if he found anything odd, was very helpful with his suggestions, stayed on budget and his timeframe that he expected. I love our house 10x more now that the kitchen is done. The craftsmanship was first rate and it came out better than I expected. It was such a pain to not have a kitchen for 7 weeks but we could tell it was going to be worth it and it totally was. Our next project is our upstairs bathroom and we are definitely going to use John again.

  • Shendel showed an unusually advanced knowledge of ALL phases of the renovation work on our living/dining rooms and bathrooms -from basic architectural considerations to specific, optimal ideas/choices around building material, plumbing, heating, lighting, flooring, painting, and all finish work.  Her sense of design is upbeat, interesting, creative, and up-to-the moment. Shendel directed us to highly skilled contractors - and maintained very close supervision of all their work from the very start of the project until its completion. At all phases of the project she showed sensitivity and understanding to our personal tastes in matters of design and functionality, and always provided options which  well within our specified budget limitations  In the end, our satisfaction with the project which Shendel supervised was far, far beyond our initial expectations.  Friends and visitors who have seen her work are simply astonished and delighted at her inventiveness, creativity, thoroughness, and overall expertise.

  • They did a very good job and everything was done professionally and quickly.
My biggest complaint is the cost. After doing a lot of research I later found that I could have had the same quality work done at a fraction of the price. Their labor rates  (and I could be wrong on this, as they don't appear to itemize their invoices.) have got to be in excess of $250+ for labor. Also I am fairly certain that the materials were marked up as well.
I found three other plumbers that had labor rates between $75.00 - $100.00 per hour and they (along with 5 other plumbers) all validated my concerns over the labor prices of Waldman. It's sad that this is the case, because I really did like Waldman's work. I just can't afford to pay those prices on my already limited salary.

  • I liked that he was upfront about not giving costs until we could sit down again without some drawings. Was very flexible with the ideas that we(wife and I) were throwing at him. Never once did he say, "Can't/won't do that". Gave some great ideas he asked us to think about. Talked about bringing the kitchen up to code. (The house was built in the 20's!)
Overall my wife was very happy (it was a birthday present)with Chris and we look forward to meeting him with some 3d drawing in the near future.

  • My wife and I had previously hired an incompetent contractor who charged $10K just for the initial demo!  We were stuck after we fired him!

We called Mike Foote and told him the story and he showed up right away to go over the details.  Mike came to our rescue!!

On short notice, Mike came right over and came up with a plan for the renovation.  He acted as general contractor supervising the great electrical work (Ken Lowe) and great plumbing (Tom Fotis) work that we had done as well as building us a brand new kitchen and bath (floor to ceiling).  The project took a few months and Mike and his crew (Jaime & Harry) were great to work with!    Very professional and great attention to detail.  Mike suggestions saved us lots of time and money and got our placed finished and made really beautiful and ready to rent before Labor Day as we had hoped!

We would certainly recommended Mike Foote for any renovation or remodeling work and would hire him again in a minute!

    Thank you Mike & Crew!

  • We started talking with Matt last year about what Kitchen Tune-up could do to update our outdated kitchen. We had already talked with a number of contractors and quickly realized we needed an alternative to gutting our kitchen.  Matt was really helpful talking about the option of replacing our cabinet doors rather than replacing all of the cabinet and boxes. We decided to go with Kitchen Tune-up of Peabody in the spring and are so happy that we did.  Matt and his dad and brother were extremely professional throughout the process, letting us know what to expect, and always happy to answer my many questions.  In addition to the new cabinet doors, they removed the existing countertops and coordinated the installation with a countertop company.  They also removed the backsplash and did a fantastic job installing our new tile.  We also wanted to make a few additional changes to the kitchen requiring some construction, which Matt and Manny did as well so we didn't have to use someone different.  We love the final kitchen - even though the main layout didn't change, the kitchen looks completely different and is exactly what we wanted! We would highly recommend them - it was a pleasure to work with the team - great job!
