    My under-the-counter frig was electrified during a power surge. I called around and Lucas responded the first, and came to the scene the very next day (even my electrician took more than that to get to my house to connect the electricity!) Lucas quickly found out what the problem was and ordered the replacement part for the fried control unit. He came in after a week when the part arrived and did a great job to replace it, and then painstakingly figured out how to configure it to make the frig work (it is quite nontrivial and needed some communications with GE to learn that some jumpers in the part needs to be taken out to make it work for the specific unit I have). Lucas only charged very little for his first visit, and no charge for his second visit (which is stunningly generous). He also helped look into a problem of my other frig and gave me a great advice about what went wrong there -- all for free! I will definitely not hesitate to recommend him to all my friends and acquaintance if any of them needs appliance repair. Lucas is not only very responsive, responsible, kind, and generous, but also very smart and sharp. The problems I had with the two refrigerators are quite tricky and some of which were unknown to him. But he figured the things all out in an hour. Very reliable and friendly.

    That was more of a challenge.  They initially wouldn't come because I was outside the area even they were listed in.  So I got a refund and Angie's List called them to come out.  The work that they did was good and fine.  I wasn't home when they did it and there was another small charge on top of that and I wasn't there to know if it was an additional charge, if it was done, or if it was a labor or.

    I have used Mike Milton's Sudbury Appliance for many years. He is responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and friendly. I have high end appliances in my home and even they have problems from time to time. From my washer and dryer to the SubZero, to my double Thermador ovens to an older microwave (which I ended up replacing - some things are just beyond repair given the age of the appliance) - Mike Milton's Appliance Service can fix it. Often times, he would just charge me for parts, not labor. He is fair and professional. Call him for all your appliance needs.

    Hunter Appliance Sales & Service Inc

    The  service itself went quickly and smoothly, in a short period of time (less than 2 hours), the repair person fixed both appliances.  I had been told that the price was $159.00 for the service plus the cost of any parts.  When the service was completed, I was presented a bill for $265.00 and was told the additional was for the additional appliance (Microwave).  While that was not specified when I called to schedule the service, and despite the cost, I found that to be reasonable, that there would be additional cost.

    The week following, the display on the microwave went out again, shortly after having it repaired by Hunter.  I also received another bill in the mail for an additional $65.00 which I did not pay.  I contacted Hunter Appliance and they advised that the additional cost for the second appliance should have been $40.00 on top of the $159.00 for a total of $199.00 and that they would need to look into both that cost and the additional bill for $65.00.  They also indicate that their repair work was under warranty for 30 days from service and asked if I would like to have  repair person sent out to resolve the recurrence of the microwave issue.  I thanked them for that information and told them to schedule a time to have the repair person come out to fix the microwave.

    Since that call, approximately 2 weeks ago, I have not heard from Hunter Appliance.  They have never followed up on the billing irregularities, nor have they scheduled time or contacted me to schedule time for a repair person to fix the microwave.

    The repair person was prompt, polite and professional and clearly demonstrated that he knew what he was doing with the repairs.  Regarding the microwave, he firmly re-connected the physical components and felt that is what was needed.  It seems he was incorrect in that regard, but the approach he took was one which he felt would minimize cost to me and would resolve the issue without replacing parts.

    The work done on the dishwasher was solid and we have had no issues, but the overall lack of response from the management at Hunter Appliance has been disappointing.

    The engineer turned up on time and listened to my problem. He didn't take out the dishwasher and look at it, just agreed with my diagnosis and ordered a part (a pump). He then left and said he would return when the part came in. He called before to arrange an appointment and came to fix the dishwasher 10 days later on a Friday afternoon. He installed the pump and started to run a cycle. but it still didn't drain. He then started saying he was late for another job. We noticed water leaking into the basement from the dishwasher below and mentioned it to the engineer and then had to leave to pick up a child from school. We were gone less than 10 mins when we saw the engineer drive away and we discovered water still leaking into the basement and the job not fixed. What professional would leave a job like that?? After calling the engineer who said he couldn't come back until at least Tuesday, We called the main number and spoke to the owner - Rick. Who tried to sell us a new dishwasher! We demanded that we get another engineer back to fix the problem and that we weren't going to pay for such a bad service. Rick explained that he only had one engineer and made sure he came back on Monday morning. He returned with no apology and found another problem which fixed the dishwasher. We had to pay for the parts and the callout but not his time or for his time on the second callout.
    We would definitely not recommend this company - the only engineer is surly and very unprofessional and Rick is only concerned with selling new appliances not providing the service he advertises.

    When the door hinge broke on my washing machine, I was looking for a repair person nearby my home.  Since we've had a lot of snow, I didn't want to call anyone too far away from my house (for fear they would not be able to get here).  Fortunately, I found Bright Appliance nearby and Peter got back to me right away.   I was surprised that Angie's List allows me to upload photos and I took advantage of this feature to send photos of the broken mechanism and the model/serial numbers on the machine.  He immediately ordered the right part and came to install it as soon as he received it himself.  Service was fast, clean and easy.  We will definitely be calling them again.
