  • Steve came and disconnected the old dishwasher the day before delivery of the new one.  He returned the next day to install the new dishwasher and discovered that the new one was damaged and had to be returned.  When the replacement dishwasher was delivered the following week, Steve came right out and installed it.  Outstanding service.  We had used Day and Evening Appliance previously for freezer repair and will continue to use this company for any future appliance repairs.

  • I called Gauger's first thing on Monday morning and left a message about my problem. Dave, the owner, returned my call within the hour and said he could come out between 12 noon and 1:00 PM. He arrived at 12:25 PM, quickly diagnosed why my machine wasn't spinning, explained what needed to be replaced, showed me the broken part, and gave me a price for the job. While completing the job he noticed that my agitator was turning in both directions (and it shouldn't) due to another broken part. Again he showed me the broken part and said he had a replacement in his truck. The cost for it was $10 and he didn't charge me for any additional labor. Good deal! My machine was fixed in about 45 minutes. Dave is a very neat worker and left my laundry area as he found it. Dave is very professional, courteous, and personable. I will definitely call him again when I need appliance repair.

  • Called company and left message. Got call back same day. Owner came over, checked oven, explained what was wrong (in terms I could understand!) and what it would take to fix the problem. Replacement parts were obtained and promptly installed. Owner is genuinely nice guy who wants his customers to be happy with his work. I am.

  • We were seriously thinking we would have to buy a new washer ... Having priced a new washer decided to check out the cost of repair as the washer was not that old. We checked out Angies list and found Family Appliance and read the feedback and were very impressed. I called and my call was returned promptly and courteously . The repair date was set  service tech came  as scheduled  very friendly , quick and efficient . We will be recommending  Family Appliance to friends and family ..... A+

  • They were a little slow to call back, but repair guys were prompt and professional (seemed like one main guy and one trainee). They charge for a house call (to look at the thing and do an estimate) plus the charge for parts and repairs, done on a subsequent visit. They offer a slight discount for payment at time of service -- make sure to ask about that. Their prices seem a little high, but maybe that's just the going rate (haven't owned/paid for repairs on many dishwashers). The second time we called them, they replaced the upper and lower lid motors -- an expensive repair. About 4 or 5 months later, the upper lid started malfunctioning again. I called them back to let them know, and they said that their work is only guaranteed for 3 months; f we wanted them to come back to look at it, we'd need to start over by paying them for another house call. Ugh. We decided just to run the thing into the ground instead of fixing it again. Really, this is more a negative review of Fisher-Paykel machines than of Advantage Appliance. I'd call them for another repair job in future, but only if I felt confident that the repair would last more than a few months. The 3 month warranty seems a bit short for an expensive repair!
