ABel Islands Roofing and SidingFantastic. A carpenter who is strong on doing things with a exceptional knowledge of his trade... ie....my deck was going to be 15.5 feet by 16. Instead he made it 16 by 16 as to not cut/waste the expensive composite decking by cutting it. When he made the deck, he ran a chalk line to "square" it with the house rather than just throwing a deck on a house. The old cement slab he built it on was broken and uneven. It was unlevel about 2 inches. rather than have that be in view, he put the unevenness tucked in the back corner, out of obvious sight. He put a fascia board around the outer deck as not to leave me with having to nail lattice to hide the underside/opening for animals to run under. I am not a carpenter but can "hammer nails" as the saying goes...THESE LITTLE ATTENTIONS TO DETAILS IS WHAT MAKES HIM above the others. I have already passed on his name to two other friends who saw my deck !- Mike G.

AMike's Powerhouse CrewI have worked with Mike’s Powerhouse Crew for 4 years on various renovations of my Cape Cod cottage. We started with new stairs to the basement, then new stairs to access the second floor, with space created downstairs for a washer/dryer. After that, a conversion of the attic into a loft bedroom, with an office and full bath plus three 5 new windows. The layout is fantastic. And they did a kitchen renovation that required moving a wall over about 5 feet to create a really nice eating nook. Lots of cabinetry was redone around a new stove and microwave, and lots more. Every one of these jobs benefited from the clever way that Mike and his team designed the renovations to make them work really well, when everyone else thought they would be impossible. The attention to detail and the finishing touches were really great, too. No problem when I asked for something more—they added it to the list and charged me for the extra work at the rate we agreed to. The costs always seemed like a bargain. AJeff and his crew did a nice job with the windows as well as the inside walls, ceiling and floor. All the outlets were installed where we requested and the new light fixture looks great. We are also very happy with the new floor. Overall very pleased with the results. Jeff is easy to work with and his pricing is very reasonable. We are already planning to have him do a couple of other projects when the weather gets warmer in the spring. I would recommend him without hesitation.
