ZERO stars from us! Sadly, involving Christine Maxfield in the decision to put our 17 year old dog to rest proved to be a huge mistake. As a family, we decided that the most beautiful way we could honor the life of our beloved pet, was to have an at home experience where she would be comfortable in her last moments. Christine spent one hour with us discussing the details of the procedure but did nothing to assess the well-being of our dying dog. This lack of assessment resulted in her being unable to provide us with confidence that putting our pet down was the most humane thing we could do for her. Everyone knows that we all need that peace of mind and surely, a vet should be able to offer that assurance. Instead of euthanizing that day, we opted to bring our dog to the vet the following day in hopes to gain that assurance. Our vet did a quick assessment of our dog’s health and determined she was very ill, suffering with advanced kidney failure. She confidently supported the option to euthanize her given her age and symptoms and encouraged us not to put her through any tests to determine more specifically what the health issues were. We decided to put her to rest then and there, forfeiting our ideal at home experience for the sake of our dog. Here's where Christine proved to be unprofessional...I subsequently received a bill from her for $250, the full charge for euthanizing a pet, calling the hour she spent with us a "consultation". Firstly, we didn't hire Christine for a consultation. We hired her to euthanize our dog. We didn't receive professional advice. She did not offer her expert evaluation, nor did she do a physical or well-being assessment of our dog. All these things would be expected in a "consultation". On the other hand, I certainly expected to, and offered to pay Christine for the hour she spent with us but did not think it was reasonable to be charged for services she did not provide. Christine opted not to negotiate a fair and reasonable rate for the hour she spent with us (I offered her $175) and instead, she filed a case against me in small claims court. She successfully extorted $357 from me including added court fees and hasn't once made any effort to extend compassion. I don't write this review as a form of revenge, but instead I hope to save someone else from the compounded sadness that we experienced.

For the past 3 years I have boarded our black lab, Jackson, at Bark N Bubbles. We compared several places, and what drew us here was the expectation of pictures and updates uploaded daily (the pool was also a big bonus for our lab that loves to swim) We had always picked up Jackson with the understanding we were to receive our dog just as healthy and happy as the day we dropped him off. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. My husband dropped my dog off on Sunday morning 07/15, there was a little confusion regarding the reservation and I was grateful they were able to fit him in their facility for the days we needed. While on vacation, we anxiously checked Bark N Bubbles' facebook page a few times a day, searching for a picture of our dog. While it was disappointing there were no updates or images and I did send an e-mail requesting one, we ultimately looked past it thinking they must have been busy and that everything was fine. After all, the pictures were a bonus. My husband went in to pick Jackson up on Thursday afternoon (I had to leave our vacation for 1 day to go into work and the plan was to drop Jackson back at Bark N Bubbles on Friday, we just really wanted him back with us for the 1 day we were back in town) When picking him up my husband observed a rather large cut on the side of his face at which point he asked the staff how this cut happened. When questioned, the two girls at the front replied they had never noticed the cut before and it must have "just happened." This was alarming, and I called later that night (hoping to receive a different response) but received the same statement, they had no idea how or when he injured himself and it must have again... "just happened" that day. The next morning the plan was to bring Jackson back to Bark N Bubbles and rejoin our family on vacation, however at 7am I woke up to a cough coming from Jackson that can only be described as either a frog or an antique car horn. It was alarming and like nothing I had ever heard before. I looked it up and all signs pointed to kennel cough, which Jackson had been vaccinated for. We cancelled the remainder of our trip and brought Jackson into the vet right away. The vet then confirmed Jackson did in fact contract Kennel Cough despite his vaccination and that there was no way the gash on his face "just happened" they advised it was at least three days old. So not only did I not receive any communication in regards to the kennel cough going around the facility, but also did not receive any information regarding the injury to my dog. Did they just not look at him the entire time? My usually happy, healthy, energetic dog now looked sick and sad. I called Bark N Bubbles yet again to tell them Jackson had Kennel Cough.. and instead of being answered with empathy or concern for the other dogs in their care they simply said "OK". I understand they don't require the Bortadella vaccination at Bark N Bubbles, but shouldn't they be concerned for the health of their other dogs? I feel all owners should be informed if a virus is going around their boarding facility. I was understandably very upset, and I sent an e-mail similar to the review I am writing now. Today I spoke with the owner, who was defensive instead of apologetic. She said the girls who worked for her told her Jackson arrived there with the gash on his face! When I told her that was untrue, she stated she "believes her employees" I couldn't believe what I was hearing, especially when they told us when questioned it "just happened that day" Also, why would my husband ask them about the cut or why would I call that night if it was pre existing?! The owner did not believe the information I had relayed her from the vet and requested the vet's contact information - which I happily provided. Who would lie about this? The owner also advised my dog was secluded for the majority of his stay there because they had a note he was aggressive with male dogs. Something I had never heard before! Why was I not told this?! When my husband picked him up and questioned how he behaved, the staff just replied with "good". He is there with the expectation of him socializing with other dogs and if he was acting aggressively I absolutely understand the need to separate him - but I also feel like communication is required Ideally, I'd love a refund for the time spent their or even a reimbursement for the medical expenses paid for because of his time in their care but I can't let this go without a review. It's extremely hard to trust anyone to care for your pet, who to us is a member of our family. I don't know what has happened to Bark N Bubbles but it is clear their quality of care has drastically declined and I will never bring our dog back or recommend them as an option for boarding or day care ever again.

All our neighbors want to be our dog.  They can see how happy he is when Chris  comes to pick him up in the morning.  We are away from home a good part of the day, and Chris makes sure our boy gets his exercise and socialization.   Chris is trustworthy, reliable and truly an awesome guy.  He goes above and beyond, and we consider him a  wonderful friend.

When I bring my pets to TLC, I feel that my pets are in good hands.  They are very organized and clean (no smell when you walk in) unlike other boarding places I have visited. They have always been friendly and helpful in answering any questions or concerns.  Most importantly you can tell they love animals! My pets are my children; the staff at TLC understands this and they are happy to take any special instructions to make sure my pets will be comfortable.

I have been using them for 12 years. I think that they are a little bit pricey, but I have a lot of confidence in their vets- I used one of them for 10 years and then she moved on to another place. I tried another one and I have been using her for two years. They are really good; they just take good care of my pets

I am so happy I found Wiggles and Tails. I just moved to the area and was concerned that I would not be able to find a way to keep my Mollie entertained with my new busy schedule. Wiggles and Tails was the first company I called and Chris was able to meet Mollie and I that day. She can be shy with strangers but Chris was very patient with her and she warmed up to him right away. Mollie now LOVES going for hikes with him and the other dogs, and LOVES to swim in the lake at the park. (The best part is he cleans her up so she smells great even after being in the lake all morning!) He sends videos of all of the dogs playing and having a great time, which always make my day. (As an aside, I was showing one of the videos to my family, and she heard his voice and ran around the house excited looking for him!) I trust him implicitly with her. I HIGHLY recommend Chris to everyone. Wiggles and Tails is the best!

We couldn't be more pleased with the service. The safety and well being of all the dogs is Chris's top priority. Chris goes above and beyond in so many ways -- he has picked up treats when we were getting low, kept him later when we got stuck at the office, recommended a great groomer, and, when our boy recently had surgery and was unable to go on hikes, Chris came and visited him and even took him for a ride, so he could at least get a little bit of his regular routine. Chris is always pleasant and very positive, very honest and trustworthy. My friends who have children without fur often comment that they wish they could find someone as awesome as Chris to take care of their children. From our dog's point of view, he waits anxiously by the door for Chris to arrive (as evidenced by the snout smudges on our front door!). On those occasions when I have been home when Chris came to pick him up, it was as if two long lost friends had been reunited after a long absence (even though they had seen each other the day before). We couldn't ask for a better situation. For a relatively modest cost, the rate of return is off the charts for all of us. We could go on and on, but suffice to say that we recommend Chris without reservation.

Our experience with them has been excellent. They do what you ask them to do. They are punctual and reasonably priced. They make my pet feel comfortable. They also do animal boarding there. I am getting ready to go back there in a few minutes. They charge somewhere in between $30 and $50 for grooming. Their pricing, the quality of their services, their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are excellent.

We had very good service. We had to go and pick up the dog, it did not come to us. Everybody who we worked with, and there was a number of people we worked with, was good and professional with the payment. We used PayPal. The price was standard.
