    In mid-December, I ordered and received a shipment of a new Kitchenaid Dishwasher.  In the last 30 years, this was the 3rd or 4th appliance I had ordered from Natick Appliance. Their prices are usually list and they usually change 2X to 3X the competition to install the new appliance and remove the old appliance. I am a very loyal customer so the extra cost was not as important as the relationship. Shortly after receiving the delivery I decided to also order a new range and I gave their sales person the model number of the old GE range (convection oven) and asked her for the current model that would replace it. She gave me a quote for a GE range. In doing some research on the web, I was shocked to see that the model she quoted me was discontinued and no longer made. When I called back to see if there was some misunderstanding because the model she quoted was obsolete, I was told the Natick Appliance did not consider it obsolete because they still had two of these obsolete models in stock. I could not believe it !!! They were trying to sell me an obsolete piece of junk because they had it in stock and wanted to get rid of it !!!!. "Buyer be damned" seemed to be their attitude. To add insult to injury, they have refused to come out and service by newly installed Kitchenaid dishwasher. I got a new and better model GE range for 40% off at Lowes with free installation and free removal of the old range. I will never order from Natick Appliance again. It does not pay to be a loyal customer.

    It was not heating due to vent to outside clogged. Turns out my vent had a flap on the exterior of house that jammed shut. Not only did the repair guy quickly diagnose problem but he took it upon himself to shovel path to the vent even after I offered him help. Very helpful overall.

    Prompt response to phone messages and on time arrivals.  Clearly knew the product and problems.
    It took two trips as the fill sensor had an intermittent failure that let the new ice maker start the first time.
    Excellent response for second call.

    We were referred to D&S by the manufacturer as an authorized repair shop after our fridge stopped working on September 18th.  We called on the 19th but they could not schedule a visit until September 24th.  The repair technician arrived on the 24th, looked at the fridge and told us he didn't have the parts needed to fix it.  They would need to order additional parts.  We paid $160 for him to tell us he didn't have any of the parts we needed!  Plus, we had to pre-pay for the additional labor and misc parts not under warranty.
    The parts were ordered, another week goes by, and we have to call them to ask what is going on. They tell us they haven't received the parts yet and have no idea when they are coming in because there is no tracking information.  3 days later they call to tell us the parts are in and they scheduled a visit for today, October 11, at 10am.  They called this morning to say they sent the parts with the wrong technician (!!!) and they can't come out again until Monday, October 14th.  We called back and demanded that they fix the fridge today, have the technicians return to the shop, pick up the right parts, and FIX. IT. TODAY.  We are still waiting to hear if that is going to happen, but I highly doubt it.
    As another reviewer pointed out, we have never had such a horrible experience as we have had with D&S Appliance.  Between the cost of eating out, the lost food from 3 weeks worth of a produce farm share that we cannot store, and the cost of paying for somebody to show up only to tell us they can't do anything, it would have been cheaper to buy another $2600 fridge we could have replaced in 48 hours.  We are also contacting the manufacturer to let them know how dissatisfied we are and in the future will not buy any of their products since this is the level of service attached to their warranty.

    He was running early, so he called to see if that was possible,  Work was done effortlessly in 40min, with a one year warranty.  He had the parts in the truck and the whole process couldn't have been smoother.  Would definitely use again.

    I called Speedy's on a Wednesday morning and Ish called me back within a few hours. i described what was going on and over the phone he advised me that this was a repair worth doing. He described what he would be doing and gave me an estimate which turned out to be totally accurate. He fixed the machine that Friday, arriving promptly, was very friendly and informative. At the time he also noticed that there were some other hoses that needed replacing and we set up another date for him to come in and do that. Again, he arrived on time and performed this repair for a nominal fee. What I especially liked about this service is that they are not quick to tell you to buy a new appliance. I really believe in repairing tried and true appliances rather than having them end up in the landfill.

    Ken spoke with me on the phone about the possibilities.  He made a trip out and told me what the problems were.  He then fixed both problems; The water leak in the refrigerator was due to an ice "dam" caused by leaving the door ajar/or a loss of power/or some combo. 
     Also due to poor refrigerator design.  FIXED.  The oven problem was due to a power fail I think.  FIXED.  It was a tedious job to repair the refrig and both took a few hours.  Ken was great.

    Not well.

    The first problem encountered was the part delivered to Same Day was not the correct part, requiring the scheduling of a subsequent visit.  The technician blamed the problem on the Viking parts distributor.

    The second visit was scheduled for the morning (as early as 8am).  At 12:30p I called Same Day Service dispatch unit to find out why no one had showed up.  I was told the repair technician was delayed at another job, but that he was finishing and would show up within an hour.

    At 2:30p, having not received any contact from either dispatch or the repairman, I call Same Day back.  I told them I was disappointed that no one had been in communication with me regarding this additional delay.  I received the same excuse that the prior job had been more complicated than expected.  I told them that didn't excuse the situation and that we were well past a morning appointment slot.

    Given the scheduling problems I encountered and that this was the second appointment needed to correct the problem, I would have expected this company to offer to either discount this bill to reflect my inconvenience or to at least offer a significant coupon for the next time I needed an appliance to be serviced.  The dispatcher was not even apologetic for the situation.

    I was also surprised, when I received the initial quote for $600, that the technician would not tell me the cost of the parts required to fix the problem.  In the absence of this information, which I am used to being provided by repair companies, I have no way to judge if their repair price was reasonable.  But when you have a refrigerator and freezer that is poorly functioning, you don't really have time to obtain a second quote to repair.

    In other respects, the technician who was on the job for all three appointments was helpful and professional.  He showed me how to clean the condenser coils, which is not obvious on this built-in unit. 

    I have no objective information as to who was truly at fault for the wrong part being delivered the first time.

    This is not what I expected for a firm rated as highly on Angie's List.
