    Bel Islands Roofing and Siding
Went great. Andrei stuck with the job. Permitting took longer than expected but he got it done. They encountered a ton of rot and other issues along the way. House was very old and worn. Every issue was addressed. House came out better than expected.

    Capital Construction Contracting Inc
Capital Construction rescued me from a job gone bad. It is tough to get a good contractor and even tougher still to get one willing to correct and complete a job abandoned by a previous contractor who left the job mid stream. Capital was a pleasure to work with.

Carllos is a sweetheart. He and his partner were on time and professional. They gave me several options depending on my budget. I have additional work, installation of a new window and a gutter replacement they are going to do for me. My house is very tall and they were prepared to work all day on a 3 story ladder!

    Jeffrey Willette
Jeffrey was quick to respond to my inquiry BUT that was it. He agreed to meet me Monday afternoon for an estimate. I left work to meet him, he didn't show. I called later that evening. He said he used "Eagle Eye" to come up with an estimate. $19,900. I took some time, but then agreed to his estimate later that evening. He agreed to come out today, Saturday at 9:30am to discuss the colors and the job. He never showed up. I texted to the multiple numbers his company had reached out to me from but never got a reply until.... 1:15 pm. He then told me "we did Eagle Eye on the wrong house". "My estimator came by this morning, I can't explain why he didn't stop at the house" "this is going to cost significantly more than my estimate" "I charge $10 a square foot and your house is a lot bigger than the one I looked at on Eagle Eye" I wasted a Saturday. I wasted a week when I could of been looking at other companies. His communication and follow through were absolutely unprofessional and completely disappointing. As a long time member of Angie's list, my posts have only been positive. I feel it's necessary to share my deep disappointment in this company. NEVER HIRE.

    Innovative Contracting Services Inc
Innovative Contracting Services were great.  It took a while to get the job scheduled after the contract was signed, but once they started they showed up regularly for a month until the job was finished. The crew doing the work showed the highest level of professionalism.  At one point a neighbor stopped me to say, as a retired contractor himself, he had been watching the progress and that the crew was doing a very good job.  They were respectful and courteous in dealing with my family and neighbors: one side of the house is very close to the neighboring driveway, and the crew was extremely polite when making arrangements to work on that side. The project manager was always very responsive, and had good answers for my many, many questions.  The crew communicated scheduling (i.e. not showing up when rain was expected) clearly so we were all on the same page as to what would happen when.

I'm very pleased with the service provided by ICS and the house looks great.

It went great.  Bruce and his crew arrived every day on time.  They answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns.  Once they had removed the existing siding, there was much rot in fascia boards and some of the walls themselves.  They made all the repairs and assured me that the house was in good condition.  The workers cleaned up each day and at the end of the job, another employee came and took all debris away and made sure all was clean.
We are thrilled with the results!  It looks like a new house.  Jeff was great to work with!

    R and G Contracting
John was great to work with from the beginning!  Our house was built in 1924 and any type of work that we have done is always challenging. John did an amazing job with great attention to detail. Because of the age of the house and sizing not being standard, we weren't sure how it would all come together.  We couldn't be happier.  Everything looks great - our neighbors keep stopping by to admire his work!

    MA Design & Construction Co
Marc, Fernando and crew did an excellent job. They were professional, detail oriented, used high quality materials and did a great job cleaning everything up. The job was finished on schedule and on budget. My aluminum sided (1,400 sq ft) house and wooden back porch were scraped, sanded, primed and painted (contrasting color trim included). The wooden porch had carpentry work done on supporting a large bay window.. The metal basement windows trim were also scraped and painted with a paint made especially for metal. I also had a wooden deck scraped and painted with a Sherman Williams decking paint (all paints used on the entire project were quality Sherman Williams paints). My gated wooden back fence was also shored up and painted.. Though very busy, Marc always worked with me throughout to ensure my complete satisfaction. This is a trustworthy company that does high quality work. The company's crew goes above and beyond to assist in creating the new home that you have envisioned down to the last details. They did not harm any of the multi bushes and plants that surround my home! I am completely satisfied with my home's new exterior. I love it! Thanks to all. I would definitely use MA Painters & Remodeling services again and highly recommend this company.

    R and G Contracting
John did a good job--a lot of work for a great price. He's easy to work with and was very candid about the reality that you don't know what you'll find underneath when doing something like removing siding. What I like about John is whenever a complication came up (e.g., sections of shingles needing replacement), he would tell me what's up and then discuss two or three options (and prices) as far as solving the issue goes. I have referred others to R and G and will call John again for other jobs related to windows and siding. Painting isn't really John's specialty but he had some guys do a good job--except where the surface was quite damaged and they didn't take the time to prep carefully. But overall the house looks great. Huge improvement and John did it in a way that looks great and saved a lot of money. My only complaint is that the job dragged on. Originally, John was going to start and finish the work before another job he had committed to, but my job didn't get done and he started on the other job. So the two week job on my house became a three month job. Still, I recommend R and G and would call him again.

    DiOrio Builders & Designers Inc
    We contacted
DiOrio Builders and Designers along with several other contractors when we
decided that we no longer wanted to continue painting the fascia and soffits on
our Roslindale bungalow. We were looking to have the fascia either replaced
with Azek or wrapped with aluminum and we wanted all the soffits enclosed. Initially a few of the contractors told us
that the job was too small for them.
When we spoke with Derek he said basically that DiOrio was?committed to providing expert craftsmanship along with high customer
service no matter the size of the job? as their website claims. We walked around our house stating time after
time that we wanted all the soffits enclosed and pointed to our neighbor?s
house as an example of what we wanted on ours.
At a second meeting, this time with both Derek and James we accepted
their estimate and signed the contract.
This was on April 9th with the work to begin around the end
    of May.
    Around mid-May we contacted DiOrio
inquiring if there was anything they would need us to do to help prepare the
site and we told them where we would leave the garage door key so that they
would have access to a power source. It
was then that DiOrio said that they were on a big job and would have to put off
starting our job until mid to late June.
We understood and agreed to the later start time.
Around June 16th or so some
materials and tools appeared on the site so we thought we were on our way. It was then that James told us that ?DiOrio
interprets the contract to mean that only the front and rear roof apexes and
soffits? were to be done. This was after
they had tacked on unpainted sister boards to our existing eaves to provide
support for the gutters on both long sides of the house. When we asked why we would explicitly say we
wanted to eliminate having to paint the eaves we would accept raw exposed wood
on the eaves James had no answer but insisted that DiOrio?s interpretation was
correct. After quite a bit of haggling DiOrio offered to honor our
interpretation at an additional cost of 50% of the total cost of materials
necessary. We drew up an addendum to the
original contract; both Derek and James signed the addendum and they began the
    job. Unfortunately it deteriorated from
that point. Suddenly it became a ?one
man job? for DiOrio. To be fair, both James Kim and Derek Dennis were always
responsive, respectful and seemed sincere in wanting to do the best job
possible. But to suppose that the job could be done professionally and
proficiently by one man working alone with no staging and one ladder was
certainly a decision based on a fault.
The J-channels on the West side of the house were ill fitting and
inconsistent; the aluminum wrap varied in size and looked like a patchwork
quilt; some corners were mitered others weren?t; yet DiOrio insisted this was a
one man job. DiOrio projected a time
frame of 2-3 weeks max; it turned out to be an ordeal that went on for 5
weeks. At one point Derek agreed that
    what had been done on the East side of the house had to be taken down and redone;
the patchwork of mismatched sizes on the front apex needed to be redone as
well. Finally the job was completed or at least there was no more work to be
done. The end result looks like it was done without care; there are gaps
between the J-channel and the aluminum wrap and some of the gutters do not have
fascia behind them. The job was done on
a catch-as-catch can basis with inadequate crew. That is not to say that James didn?t work
hard, he did. But the job required more than one man and DiOrio chose not to
make that investment. Instead the focus for them was whatever big job was being
undertaken so our ?small? job looks as though it was pieced together; which it
was. We are certain that DiOrio
Construction and Design are capable of excellent craftsmanship?if the job is
big enough. We would not hire them
again. The best rating we would give is
    a generous C.
