    Cooling Unlimited Inc
I had a great experience working with Cooling Unlimited. They installed central AC from scratch and also replaced my boiler and H/W heater. They were very professional, well organized and made sure the project went as smoothly as possible. The installers were very courteous and certainly knew what they were doing. The follow-up with MassSave rebates and inspections was also excellent. I would recommend them to anyone with HVAC needs. I worked with Jason on the estimates and paperwork, Mike on the planning, Joe led the boiler work, and sadly I did not catch the name of the lead on the AC work - but he was excellent too. The whole team was amazing.

The repair went well. Our HVAC system would not turn on so Mike showed up earlier than scheduled (I was called first for the ok) and got right to business. He found the problem- a blow fuse in the unit itself. Once he replaced the fuse the system still would not turn on, but the circuit board that runs the system did light up. he checked out the electrical to make sure there was not a short that caused the problem. It seemed baffling as to the issue so he went outside and checked to see if the electrical issue was at the compressor. Sure enough an animal had chewed thru some of the wiring on the compressor. He spliced the wires together and the system started up, I applaud him for not assuming that the board was faulty and just replacing the board. I would say that Mike did an A+ job troubleshooting to determine what the issue was. The only problem was the cost, and I suppose I should have asked more questions. I asked how much to come out and was told $99 to troubleshoot, but I never asked what other charges apply. Apparently the charge is $99 just to show up and troubleshoot the issue, then $220 per hour is added to that for Mike's time there. I felt $319 was a little steep, but perhaps that is the going rate. I want to emphasize that Mike did an excellent job of solving the issue.

Everything went extremely smooth. The tech was prompt, courteous and helpful. I will absolutely call next year for a tune-up ahead of the season. I have not had a pleasant experience with any HVAC companies in the past. This restores my faith in the HVAC industry.

    RESSE ELECTRICAL SERVICES
Andrew is great to work with - I was getting AC installed in July 2016 and the installer let me know at the last minute that I needed electrical work done to get it installed. I had used another electrician for some other work at my house, but couldn't track them down for this project. My A/C guy got Andrew to do the job. A lot of the work that he did was in the attic when it was 100 degrees outside and even hotter upstairs, and he managed to get it done. He even moved an electrical outlet for me. Fast forward to this fall and I had some small projects that I'd been sitting on for a while so I reached out and he got right back to me and was easy to schedule. I had a few small questions that he was able to answer and he and his son were in and out in a couple of hours. I'd highly recommend his work and appreciate how easy he is to get in touch with.

I had Anthony install central air in my house in July 2016. He and his sheet metal contractor (Mark) came out and did a thorough review of the house and the space where the ductwork would be installed. He offered a number of suggestions and ideas for cooling the house. We ended up going with two condensers and one ductless mini-split. Anthony and his crew hustled throughout the installation process to make sure that the system would be running by the time that we moved into the house. I can't say enough about their work or the time and effort that they went through to get it done (nights, weekends, etc). Anthony was able to connect me with an electrician at the last minute to get the new units properly wired after his usual contractor fell through. We got a couple of quotes from both large and small AC contractors, and we selected Anthony because he seemed like the type of guy who would do whatever it takes to get the job done (and do it well). He always wore foot protectors to keep the house clean, and his quote was right on the money. Unfortunately the work was done during the heat wave when our attic space felt like a sauna, but there were never any complaints. I'd recommend Anthony to anyone looking to install central air or have cooling work done on their house. As a follow up, I've called on Anthony for heating repairs to my furnace. He is easy to reach and always willing to help. There aren't enough good things to say about Anthony and how he runs his business.

Provided thorough estimates and responded to all our questions. Performed the work quickly. Workers were professional and tidy. When issues arose with the new thermostat, they responded and resolved them quickly and to our satisfaction. So far, so good.

A terrible experience overall! My husband and I could not have had a worse experience with CU. We were given a very reasonable quote and was told it was take four days to complete the job. I knew immediately when did they not show up on the date we had agreed upon that we had made a big mistake. The next day they arrived on time and started the installation - after this is was one issue after the next. To name a few: Insulation was left all over the floors upstairs from when they cut in the ceiling to install the vents; there was a shop-vac upstairs and in the basement that they could have used to clean up the mess A portion of our hardwood floor was damaged in one the bedrooms When the plumber initially came the first week, he left gaping holes on the side of the house and never returned We were informed that the crew would only need access to the left side of our garage we came home to find plaster, installation and various other debris all over our belongings located on the right side of the garage; we also found multiple damaged items including: o 3 dining room chairs all had dings or scratches o A wrapping paper container was completely destroyed o It was obvious that the crew had stepped on our belongings as evident by their foot prints on our boxes! o Most importantly, no one called to tell us they had damaged our things, they simply left it in the garage for us to find o It took nearly two hours for us to clean the garage I returned home one night to find my bathroom in disarray there was plaster, installation and mud on the tile; it was clear someone had actually stepped on our toilet because there was a muddy foot print Saw dust was all over the hallway and living room from when the hardwood floors were cut for the vents The lack of communication was incomprehensible - there was an entire week where no one showed up or even called. When all was said and done it took FOUR weeks to complete the job. There was a very obvious lack of professionalism and respect by the CU employees when working on our home. My husband and I have been down to CU offices more times than we can count and have asked to be compensated for the damages (they took the chairs to be repaired, but they were returned to us in the same condition) and no one responds to our request. Please don't make the same mistake we did!

They were good. I just felt like they were pushing one thing entirely too much. There was no charge for an estimate. They were very punctual. They were very professional. They were our second choice, actually. They were honest and gave us their reasons.

    BROOKS & BROOKS HVAC
It has kept the house perfectly cool and quiet. The price was pretty good but expensive. It took a little time to get going. They did not push. The other companies were pushy with the whole high velocity everywhere and they said that the mitsubishi would not cover the whole downstairs. It might not be as cold as other places. But it is perfectly fine.
