    Maguire Masonry
Peter and his crew were extremely professional. Always punctual and very detail-oriented. We had some water seeping into our basement and needed to have it waterproofed. Peter and his crew excavated the foundation to the footer, insulated and re-enforced the block walls, waterproofed, and re-pointed all of the joints. Peter always kept me informed of the work that was being done - either through text messages with pictures or phone calls. He was always very responsive. The work Peter and his team did is of the highest quality. At the end of the job everything was cleaned-up and all of our plants were re-placed exactly where they were before.

The job was done very thoroughly. The team came in and did a great job in my crawl space and the products they used seem very high grade. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Very professional and did the job that was asked without any problems.

THE BULKHEAD MAN & SONS LLC
Craig came out in December 2015 to give us an estimate.  We had a two-piece bulkhead with 1 piece below grade with walls and steps, and a 2nd piece above grade with a clam-shell type door.  The doors were rusted though, and the below grade walls were rusted through.  Every time it would rain, water would enter my basement.
Craig recommended we replace the entire unit (both above and below grade) with a new 1 piece steel unit below grade, a new collar to keep the doors higher off the ground, and two new doors that open outward (vs the clam-shell style that opened up).  This would allow me to enter and exit without bending over and it would make it easier to get large items into and out of the basement.
Craig took a 50% deposit to order the new steel unit (from a company called Steelway in Pennsylvania).  He told me that the lead time would be about 8 weeks and then he'd call me to schedule the install (weather permitting).
After I gave Craig the deposit, his son came out a few days later to tarp the doors (to keep the water out of my basement) and lay hay bales around the opening.  He said that this would help to insulate the ground to keep it from freezing.  This would allow them to hand-dig.
Mid-February, Craig called to inform me that my new bulkhead had arrived and he scheduled an install date.  The install date got postponed due to weather (totally understandable), and it was early March when they came out to replace my bulkhead.
It took them all day to excavate out the old bulkhead, cut it into pieces to remove it, bolt and seal the new unit to my foundation wall, install the new collar, and then install the new doors.  They then sealed every seal and bolt hole and backfilled with dirt.  The below-grade portion was already painted with a special epoxy coating (to prevent rust).  And Craig and his team primed the inside and above-grade portion.  All I needed to do is put a final coating of oil-based paint on the inside and above-grade parts.
I would definitely recommend Craig and his team again.  They did a very nice neat job.

    Rescon Basement Solutions
Rescon Basement Solutions was very professional right from the start.  They were able to get to our house quickly and provide a quote within just hours of their initial visit.  Scheduled the work within a couple weeks and did a great job with the work to be done.  They encapsulated a crawl space in our basement that was not easy to get to.  They removed lots of debris from the space before getting started and they covered the entire space in thick plastic as well as adding insulation to the floor joists which are under part of our kitchen.  Great crew, easy to work with.

    S & W Tile
Great company to work with. Wes and the members of his team are all very friendly and very hard workers. They arrived for the appointment on time and got right to work. Wes helped me with some preliminary work as well to make sure I procured the appropriate materials/tiles in advance of the work - which helped make sure things went smoothly the day of the appointment. Excellent and fast communication as well throughout the process. The guys also cleaned up everything when they were done and put down sheets to make sure my house stayed clean while they worked. The completed work looks fantastic and I am very pleased with the results. The spacing and alignment of all the tiles is spot on and looks great - very clean looking. I would definitely plan to use them again in the future. Great company to work with.

    Drycrete Waterproofing
Firstly, not only did Jason show up on time for our initial estimate, he actually called to see if he could come early.  He was very through and knowledgeable about the process and let us ask all the questions we needed without rushing us.  He put together a quote quickly after the first visit.  We actually did not get any additional quotes.  We had read such good things on Angie's list and his quote was less than we expected (I put $6500 but I can't remember what it was exactly it may have been a few hundred less) so we just went with them.  While doing the work, the crew showed up on time everyday with Jason always there.  They finished the work in the time quoted and there were no surprises.   We wanted to wait until we had a few storms before giving a review to make sure everything was done well.  Now that we have gone through a few heavy rains and snow melts, I can say that the basement is completely dry and the sump pump (and french drain) is working as we had hoped.  We ultimately want to finish the basement but didn't want to do it unless we knew it would remain dry and not get moldy.  We have full confidence now that we can finish it without worry.  Jason and his crew are great and I would recommend them to anyone looking to make sure they have a dry basement!

    American Made Masonry LLC
Jim and his crew arrived and worked as scheduled.  Jim kept me informed as to what would be done each day.  Work took roughly 1 1/2 weeks for excavation, building of rock wall, addition of substrate for driveway, construction of forms for concrete, pouring of concrete, and cleanup of debris afterwards.  He hired a separate subcontractor for the concrete forms and pouring.  The drive and walkways look beautiful, and they cover exactly the areas I requested.  Prior to any of the listed work, they also had to build a silt fence because the property backs up to wetlands/conservation land.  Jim worked with the town's Conservation Administrator for the silt fence, and he kept the dimensions of the driveway down to the original square footage (no additional coverage) as I had agreed to do with the City.  I am very happy with American Made Masonry's work and plan to hire them again for work within my house.

I just moved into a new house, and had BT system installed.  The house I moved from had their system installed by the previous owner.  For the entire 9 years I lived there, I did not have one single water issue.  So it was a no brainer having the system installed at the new house.
A person from BT came out immediatly, walked me through what they would do, and provided me a quote on site.  I had the sales person drive back up from the South Shore the next day to sign the paperwork after I slept on the decision.
Within a week, a team of 6 guys were at my house ready to go.  The entire team was professional, courteous, and went above and beyond making sure I was happy.  They even demo'd more of the finished basement subfloor than neccessary which reduced the work I was planning on doing anyway.
Being on system number 2 and with BT for almost 10 years, I cannot recommend them enough.
Here are the names of the people I dealt with.  All bent over backwards for me.
       Inital estimate: Jeff and Andrew
Scheduleing and follow-up satisfaction call: Jackie
Installation Team: Ensy, Steve, Marcus, Jeff, Jeff & Troy

    Bonanno Construction Inc
It took 3 messages and 2.5 weeks to get a return call. We made an appointment for an estimate, and the estimator was punctual and professional. However, his solution to my drainage issues seemed to me to be overkill, and very expensive... I live on a steep hill, so there should be no need for a $5K drywell. Even though he promised to email me a formal quote, I never got one. No matter, I decided to go with another masonry company company that proposed a solution I thought would better address the issues. Still, I was disappointed with the lack of responsiveness and follow through.

Bobby was a pleasure to work with.  He responded promptly, quickly and accurately assessed the situation and made a variety of suggestions and different price points and long versus shorter term solutions.  He also agreed to remove additional debris from my driveway for no charge.
The drain and pump were installed quickly and was done very nicely.  It has worked perfectly, even in severe rainstorms.  I would definitely use Bobby's services again and will be calling Bonanno when it is time to do some hardscaping.
