    COOKING FROM THE HEART
    The food choices are varied and healthy. Lots of veggies with low saturated fat meats. I felt this was a much healthier and easier option than repeatedly ordering take out when my family was unable to grocery shop and prepare food. For dinners the price is $8.50 per serving for the dish, but the portions are generous and we would get almost 2 meals out of a serving. There is a $5 delivery charge per week. They are very accommodating and delivered my meals into my refrigerator when I was unable to be there for the delivery. The food is packaged very well and the reheating and freezing instructions are clear. This is a great service that balances healthy options with food delivered to your door (or fridge) with fewer options than a traditional personal chef to keep the cost to a reasonable level.

    THE SERVICE PROVIDED IS AMAZING. THERE IS A LONG LIST OF MEALS AND SHE WILL ALSO MAKE ANY REQUESTS YOU MIGHT HAVE. DIETARY RESTRICTIONS ARE NOT A PROBLEM. SHE CAN COOK IN YOUR HOUSE OR JUST BRING YOU THE MEALS. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS. I WOULD HIRE HER AGAIN AND AGAIN.

    Erryn was terrific. Her communication (mostly via email) was efficient, effective, prompt, and funny. She cooked our lamb precisely the way we liked it, introduced us to cooking with saffron, and left our kitchen cleaner than when she arrived. She was engaging and friendly when we had questions and comments, but also discrete to allow us to enjoy our dinner together. Her meal showed a great deal of thought and its execution -- much of which she did in our kitchen -- was entertaining to watch. The menu choices (below) were inventive without being wacky. Her excitement at being given free reign to generate ideas was palpable -- and paid off. We trusted her instincts and judgment and were rewarded with a great meal. I cannot wait to have a bigger dinner party and have her back as the star!     I couldn't have asked for a better event. My husband was completely surprised and the menu included all of his favorites. Passed hors d'oeuvres: gourmet pigs in a blanket, deviled eggs, an amazing assortment of bruschetta (chicken liver pate, ricotta with honey and red pepper flakes, etc.), and cheese plate. The dinner menu started with a great arugula salad with pears, candied walnuts and a honey balsamic vinaigrette, followed by rack of lamb cooked to perfection, twice baked potatoes with a sea salt crust and a medley of veggies. Dessert included a black forest birthday cake and assorted pastries. Amanda and her team were consummate professionals and my friends are still raving about the food!

    Catherine prepared me a menu ahead of time and I was able to agree or make additional suggestions to it. On the arranged cooking day, she did all the necessary shopping, arrived promptly at 9am and began cooking. She uses my kitchen and my pots and pans and I gave her liberty to use anything interesting she might have found in my pantry. One thing I like about Catherine as opposed to some other chefs I talked to is her ability to improvise with additional ingredients she might find in my place. When she was done, my kitchen, appliances and pots/pans were spotless and my freezer was full of her cooked meals. Everything was labeled nicely with reheating and preparation instructions. (Basically, everything can be reheated in the microwave or in a sauce pan).

    Honestly, speaking, $500 for what Sean was doing that week was a small price to pay for my families happiness and well-fed stomachs. He was a godsend! I definitely don't feel this is a luxury type of service, but one that is needed for busy working parents! The meals were delicious! In fact my kids loved the food and the fact that my husband and I could spend more time with them and not worry about cooking and preparing meals. I would definitely use Sean and The Craftsmans Kitchen again in the future.

    The food was outstanding, with rave reviews from the guests and many requests for the name of the caterer. It was well presented by the Chef, who left the kitchen clean with leftover food stored in tin trays that could be heated as the event went past predefined hours. Above all, it afforded me the opportunity to actually spend time with my guests instead of in the kitchen.
