Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • All work was done professionally and in a timely manner. All furniture and floors were covered and protected. All debris was completely cleaned up and the room was left completely spotless. Andre and his crew were professional, informative and courteous at all times.

  • He showed up on time and went to work. He even texted ahead when he was stuck in the morning rush hour traffic. In comparison to other plaster contractors they made very little dust and were very considerate of the rest of the house and my hardwood floors. Beautiful finish and handled the plumbing and electrical rough in with skill. Very easy to communicate with them. Text messages, photos etc. Very responsive.

  • I must say that Jim (the owner) and all of his sub-contractors were a pleasure to work with!
I had been through a very stressful time dealing with all of the water damage and going back and forth with insurance and Jim was right there to answer any and all questions I had about the estimate and what was going to be required to get everything done. It was a long process and Jim was very patient and agreed to do the work, even after 5 months had passed, due to back and forth conversations with insurance.
The windows came first, and the window crew did such an awesome job! They were great about explaining everything  and telling me all about the new windows and keeping me informed on everything they were doing. It was evident that they were all very passionate about the work they do!
The next step was getting the drywall and plaster done. This process was seamless as well! The guys came in and had everything completed in half a day.
The kitchen was then completed and Jim was great about making sure that all of the finishes were done just as I had envisioned them.
The final phase was having the whole house re-painted. The painting job was fantastic! I couldn't have asked for better quality work!
Jim was always checking in during each stage of the process, to make sure everything was running smooth. I also have to add that I was so impressed with Jim's responsiveness during this whole process. I would email him, and would get a response right away. Jim was always great at explaining everything he was doing and why, which was huge.
Jim is a true professional and takes great pride in the work he does and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to do a home improvement project.
I am looking forward to having him back to do some other projects on the house in the near future!

  • After explaining the timeframe that we needed the work done in -about a 10 week window-we had a lot of trouble getting anyone to come out.We were required to provide the window and countertop that were being installed. After the walls were opened, the workers left a huge mess.We had to clean up chunks of drywall, plaster dust, and remove the ruined insulation. We would be told that work would continue the next day but no one would show up or call.At one point sheetrock was installed without insulation (that we'd provided) so the wall had to come back down so that the insulation could be put up-I think if I hadn't happened to walk in during the work it would have been left like that. They also tried to reinstall water-damaged wood trim instead of replacing it.After the work was finished and paid off,we noticed that they must have run out of primer as the ceiling had an area of different paint.

  • John is a very knowledgeable and outgoing person.  I had just moved into my house when pieces of the ceiling started chipping off.  Turns out I have old calcimine ceilings that was simply plastered, painted, and patched up numerous times.  John and his assistant Jose put new sheetrock on the ceiling and applied new plaster.  The textured plaster (skip trowel) looks fantastic, a big improvement over my old ugly popcorn ceiling or whatever you call it.
John returned my call quickly, set up an appointment, and was on time during the estimate process.  Showed up on time the day work began.  They worked all day and I don't think they even took a lunch.
The price was very competitive and near what I expected for this project.  For instance, another highly rated provider quoted me more than double while rushing me to make a decision.  John was very honest and did not rush me into making any decisions.
The work was done over 2 days and John cleaned up afterward.  He even showed me how to turn on the faucet outside the house on my deck.  The water was shut off from the inside.  I opened up the water valves but still no water to outside faucet.  John went into the basement and showed me which valve to turn on and the water started flowing right away.  John is a good handyman also...
The only negative is on a small section of the stairway ceiling, it appears he accidentally scraped or touched the new plaster while it was still drying.  So there is small section in the stairway ceiling that does not match. When we had a final walkthrough before John left, he noticed this area but didn't really say anything.  I have absolutely no issues with his work or quality.  This looks like a small mistake and not the result of cutting corners, lack of quality, etc...
To be fair, I did not follow up with him about this.  I would definitely recommend him and use him again in the future.

  • South Shore Dreambath is easy to work with. They gutted our bathroom to the studs and remodeled it on time at the quoted price. The tile work looks great. The acrylic surround looks pretty good and is (heat) molded to the old tub tight. We have not noticed any plumbing leaks or issues. The drywall work was done with greenboard only on the shower wall with the plumbing, the rest was all standard gypsum board. The drywall\plaster work was sloppy, but they came back and cleaned it up free of charge. The exhaust fan turned out to be venting into a blind attic, they relocated it to the outside wall at no additional cost. They didn't true up the closet wall framing before putting up the drywall so it is a bit crooked, though you probably wouldn't notice if it wasn't pointed out to you. What you will notice is they didn't touch the closet walls or ceiling, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the work is good and we are content, but it isn't quite "excellent".

  • This is the third time our condo board has hired Kent Albrecht to do work for us.  We have always been totally pleased with the outcome.  He responds when called about a job.  He shows up to get information for an estimate.  He is totally professional and a good guy to work with.  His work is beautifully done and his charges are pretty close to his estimate.  He gives copies of all receipts for supplies purchased for the job.  We will definitely hire him again in the future.

  • The work went very well.  Tim did a great job.  The laminate installed in all 3 areas looks fabulous.  Was not a lover of laminate, but seeing how good it looks (thanks to Tim!), may do it again in the appropriate area.
Tim went above and beyond...removed and reinstalled switch plates, coat rack, and lots of bits and pieces.  Not to mention getting rid of an old water tank!
Estimated/final cost right on spec.  Nice finish work and attention to detail - and made good recommendations.
    Great Job, Tim!!!  Thank you!

  • Within 2 days of calling Rodolfo he came to give me an estimate and within a week he had started the work.   Within a couple of days, the job was completed and we were very happy with his work.  He also picked a paint color slightly different from the original and this choice really added to the porch.

  • Very smoothly. The quality of work was excellent and was done on time. Dan and his employees are very respectable and professional. His fees are very reasonable as well. I would not hesitate to use Dan Conway again.
