Josina has the most amazing hands & skill to find & get the trigger points and knots to release.
Tell her your most sensitive areas.
Let her know during the massage how hard or soft you want her touch to be.
Don't leave anything out, she finds all areas you need work on.
The most important thing to know is to relax & enjoy the experience.

I have had other massages, and thought in comparison, he was good, but not unique enough to travel to see him again. For me, the travel distance is too much. I didn't experience that personal connection to make me go again. Not to say he isn't good, but just not a good fit for me.

A highly trained professional massage therapist who has a variety a skills and techniques that frankly outperformed any other massage therapist I've had to date.  After my first massage, I quickly purchased the six month, 2 massages per month (90 minutes) package!

It was my wife's birthday so I treated her and myself to a day at the spa. Although I signed up for a facial and full body message for the both of us, they went above and beyond just those services.  When we were waiting for a services we were offered drinks and escorted to another room where we received a pre-massage in massage chairs while we waited... a very nice touch and definitely a cut above your standard waiting room experience.
I was able to sign us up for a shared room for both my wife and I which was also a very nice touch. Even as we were getting our facials, we were offered and received shoulder, arm and hand massages during our facials.  After all that the full body massage were excellent! I don't know if it was because we were first time visitors or not but the service there was absolutely amazing. We'll definitely be going back again.

They are excellent. Juliana is my message therapist who gave a really deep tissue message. She is very accommodating to your needs and communicates effectively. She is very professional, prompt, and caring. She makes sure you are comfortable and asks questions about which message you would prefer. She makes your needs and comfort the top priority.  The staff is also pleasant, professional, and welcoming. The center is calming and clean. It is a very nice atmosphere. I would recommend their services to anyone. They offer specials from time to time and discounts for regular customers. They are very reasonably priced. It is $80 for a sixty minute message. When she gave my facial she gave a lot of feedback on how to take care of my skin.  The deep tissue message eliminated the discomfort caused by my IT band  issue.

.On your first visit, you will be given some forms to fill out while in the waiting area.  The waiting area has water, tea, and snacks available.  The office has recently expanded with five additional rooms, which is a great improvement.  My one criticism is that the waiting area has a very cramped, "busy" kind of feel, with lots of products for sale.  This is a matter of personal preference...I prefer a minimalist, serene look.  However, you won't be waiting long unless you arrive early - Back to Basics is very punctual.

Your therapist will then bring you into your treatment room, and discuss your history and concerns with you.  You will be asked if there are any areas to be avoided, and will be given the option to have aromatherapy or not.  You are then given time to dress, and the your therapist re-enters the room after knocking.  I have found both therapists I have worked with to be very pro-active about communication regarding the level of pressure the client prefers for a massage.  I tend to prefer deep pressure, and both Bethany and Linda are excellent at that.  You may also be asked whether you'd like pain-relieving gel applied (BioFreeze or Sombra). At the conclusion of your massage, you are given time to re-dress, and the  your therapist will meet you in the waiting area with a bottle of water.

You then pay for your service (they do accept credit cards).  Be sure to ask about the discounts they offer under certain insurances.
You will be given the opportunity to re-book, but there is no pressure on this.

Overall, Back to Basics is a very professionally run business, and is relatively affordable.  I have been very pleases with my experience there.
