    Nielsen Eye Center Quincy
Yesterday I underwent Lasik Eye Surgery, and the results are remarkable. Within 24 hours, my vision is essentially 20/20. The procedure itself was painless and over within 15 minutes. I have worn glasses since 2nd grade and contacts since 5th grade. Now, at 21, being able to see crystal clear is indescribable. I am so incredibly thankful to have had this life-changing surgery and I am so grateful to Dr. Nielsen and his staff for this wonderful experience!

Thank you Dr. Nielsen and your team for this life-changing experience! Ever since I was 11 years old, I have known nothing besides contacts and glasses. Now at 25 years old, one of the most amazing experiences is being able to wake up in the middle of the night and being able to see. People take this for granted, but it truly is a blessing. After having the surgery and seeing the results within hours, I wish I didn't wait this long to have lasik. Thank you again!!

I could not be any happier. I woke up this morning and can SEE - no contacts and no glasses!! I never thought it was possible. The staff has been amazing throughout the entire process. The procedure took about 30mins and I woke up this morning able to read the clock! I am so thankful I took my friends advice!! The experience was great from beginning to end. Office staff is great, no wait to be seen, and AMAZING results from Dr. Nielsen.

I had Lasik Surgery done 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier with the results! It is a quick and easy procedure that I had wished I would have done years ago however I was scared of the procedure itself. For everyone who is nervous like I was there is nothing to worry about! You do not feel a thing and the procedure is done in less than 10 minutes! I took a nap after the procedure and when I woke up I could already see! It's the best feeling being able to see without the use of contacts or glasses. Thank you to Dr. Nielsen and staff at the Nielsen Eye Center!

Everything went well.  This is where I come for my eye appointments on a regular basis.  This was the first time I saw Dr. Kaufman.  Previously, Dr. Floyd was my doctor, but he has since reitired.  I have no complaints about the doctor's and technicians.  I believe them to be very competent. and attentive.
I have previously (not this time) had trouble with the front desk staff.  In the past, they been a bit rude at times, and I've observed them discussing (complaining about) their paitents when within ear shot of other patients.  I have not observed this recently so perhaps it was one bad apple who has now moved on...

The visit was good. Dr. Chao was about one hour behind, so that was a bit annoying.
--The office feels like a giant hospital with very little warmth. It also smelled a little bit like dirty bathroom throughout the waiting room.
--The front office staff seemed to be training a lot of people, and things looked in transition--a bit in disarray.
--All in all, I'll probably go back one more time to see if they settle in. But it wasn't a stellar experience.

    Update: 1/27/14
--Faxed a letter to the staff about a contact lens prescription. Asked them to order the contacts and let me know when they came in. Apparently no one read the letter very carefully because when they called me and I came down to the office, they gave me the paper prescription and had not ordered the actual contact lenses. Silly mistake. It caused a wasted trip for me during my lunch hour, not to mention a delay in getting my contact lenses.
--The staff was nice about it, but I'm very unimpressed by this practice so far. They don't seem to run a very tight ship for the simplest things. I just go for check-ups, and they can't seem to get things right. I started going here because I was considering Lasik in the future, but now I can't imagine entrusting them with the paperwork involved in complicated medical issues or surgeries.
--I am on the fence about whether I'll go for a second annual check-up to give them a chance to improve.

They see children too. It is a general one. They also have specialists. They do laser operations and cataract operations there. It is easy to get to. They have a large verity of doctors. If you have something very serious you can go there first. If it is something they can't handle they will send you to their other location. They have a verity of things they handle there like regular eye check ups. They do the cataracts. They do contacts. They do retina exams, glaucoma. They have a verity of doctors too. They also have a lab and you can have your glasses made there too. If you get a prescription they have a lab on the premises. I will continue to use their services. I see them for a six month check up because of my cataract surgery.

Cambridge Eye Drs. were great! My youngest daughter lost her glasses while playing on the dunes in Cape Cod during vacation. We needed new glasses fast, but my ex wanted me to use a provider that takes his vision coverage out of Ohio (Davis company). Most of the drs covered by Davis didn't offer one hour service, and we couldn't wait a week or two to get the glasses because we were only in the area temporarily. In fact, the first Cambridge Eye Doctors location we contacted (in Hyannis) could not do glasses in an hour, but they helped us find an office further north that was along our vacation path and got us set up with appointment for all three girls the next day when we would be in that area. They not only got all three of my girls in (the older two needed new glasses anyway), they got us three eye exams and three pairs of new glasses, all in about three hours time. The staff at both locations (Hyannis and Brockton) were very sympathetic to our plight and very pleasant, treating us very well even though they knew we were not going to be repeat customers. I was very much impressed by the dedication to customer service given the circumstances. The store had a wide selection of frames at a variety of prices. All my girls found ones they were very happy with. Just can't say enough good about these folks!

I have used them for a couple years. I think their prices are decent. They have sales of 40% off of 3 pairs of glasses. They have high end glasses, contacts, and eye exams. Dr. Tran is really good. She does all the eye exams.

    Strazzulla, Dr. Domenic M
He was thorough. The only thing that bothered me was how they shine that light in your eye, he does it so much longer than any other ophthalmologist that I have been to. It was not been very comfortable. He was just over the top and so very unpleasant. He was thorough and he explained everything that he found. His bedside manner varied. Sometime he was little cool and other times more pleasant. The office staff was very nice. He environment was clean, can consider it as average. I probably hesitate to recommend him. I did like how thorough he was and how well he explained and so forth but not knowing whether he is going to be gruff or have a better bed side manner and the eye lights he used I probably will not recommend him. I did not have much treatment done. I will go back to him.
