    SEAN FARRELL EXCAVATION INC
Sean came to my house within 20 minutes of a emergency phone call. He made arrangements within 15 minutes to have emergency street opening, police detail, and rescheduled his crew for my job to start at 7 A.M. the next morning. I couldn't believe it! He was a life saver, and I have given his name and number to everyone I know who might need excavation work in the future. He is such a nice man and I will never forget what he did for me. Thanks Sean

This company is fabulous! I was contacted within 5 minutes of my initial phone call. Doug Zeolla, the owner is terrific! Brian, Mark and Charles arrived exactly on time. They explained what the job involved and answered all my questions. They gave us an estimate and I immediately agreed. They were professional and courteous. They did a fantastic job. Everything was clean and neat when they left. Doug called later to make sure I was pleased with the work. I am thrilled that I have a new plumber. I have already given his information to four of my friends! Maureen McKenna

I have worked with Farrell Excavating for many years. Their work is excellent, Their staff is knowledgeable and professional. Their responsiveness in an emergency is outstanding. You couldn't ask for a better company for foundation work, water and sewer issues, anything that requires excavating. On top of all this, their pricing is extremely reasonable.

The company is a big corporation. They had a scheduler call me and then assigned me to a sales rep. The rep was punctual, inspected my basement and exterior of my home to come up w a plan to stop leakage. He tried to sell me a french drain system which cost over $10k and a dehumidifier which was something around $1500. I didn't go with it because i decided to shop around and found a better price. They're basically another big company so if you're trying t save $, I'd suggest finding an indy. Way to expensive.

They arrived on time ready to go. They finished cleaned up and took out all waste and old pipes well ahead of schedule. Doug and Derek were very professional, knowledgeable and went about the job without any wasted effort. Moved a washer and dryer to get at what they needed and made sure no damage to either item. while they were there I had them install new shut-offs for hoses which saved us some money. I would definitely use them again.

I highly recommend Sean Farrell Excavation for sewer pipe replacement. After having sewage back up into my basement 3 times in the past year because of tree roots in the pipe where the 4 inch pipe meets the 6 inch pipe, I decided to have the whole pipe replaced. I contacted Sean on the recommendation of the person I hired to do a video inspection of my sewer line (side note: that was money VERY well spent and I wish I had done it earlier). Sean called me back immediately, quoted me a great price, and gave me a time frame of when his guys would be out to do the work the following week. He even said that if the drain backed up again to call him immediately even if it was in the middle of the night. Considering that I have had some horrible experiences with contractors, to have someone tell me to call anytime day or night if there is a problem is just amazing.
They ended up having an opening earlier than expected, so the work was actually completed ahead of schedule. Keith and JJ came out on the scheduled day, arrived early, and had everything set up and ready to go at the designated start time. They got right to work, didn't take any breaks, and got the job finished in about 2 hours. They were polite, showed me what was being replaced and explained the repairs. I am an involved homeowner, I like to see what is being done, even if it's a huge hole in my front yard and a broken sewer pipe. I have had previous contractors be very condescending because I am a woman and look younger than my age, and talk to me as if I couldn't possibly understand the work they were doing. I was incredibly impressed Keith and JJ, the way you treat your customers is just as important as the work you do, and they were phenomenal. I really can't say enough good things about them, I wish I could hire them for all my construction projects.
And although they "promised" to disturb my front lawn as little as possible, I actually asked them to tear the whole thing up so I could reseed the grass. So now I have a brand new pipe, no sewer backups, and a beautiful front lawn. THANKS!!!

Went well.  The torrential rains the following week revealed that the upper end of driveway near garage needed to put built up a bit more to keep the rain from puddling.   The guys came back a week later, after the rain stopped and build up the driveway.   They burnt the tar to blend it into the existing driveway.
The driveway is a difficult one to do.   There is absolutely no grade to work with - it all had to be built up.
TMC was the only company who said they could do the driveway with out a drainage system.   All the other contractors would not consider it.    We did not want the drainage system because it does not work.  We are all ledge and granite underneath.
Looks beautiful!!!   Will definitely have them back to do other work.

    Western Construction Inc
cThis is a very late review, but better late than never.  The service was
done in December 2011.  There was a very bad gutter leak that is
causing water to seep through our basement. I had  called another
company before that told us initially to replace all the gutters and
then refused to do the job as they said they do not do that kind of
work. Then  I called Western company. Mr Morrisey came and gave us a
quote. He pointed out the exact gutter problem and make recommendations
to replace bad downpipes.  We got a quote  and agreed. A young man came.
He was very professional and pleasant.  He fixed the problem gutters,
put gutter guards all around the house and replaced bad downspouts.
Since they did the repair, replacement and cleaning, the basement leaking
stopped.  A year later now, we had heavy rains and we had no basement
leaks. We  highly recommend them for gutter works.

They were here from 6/21-6/24. I didn't like the guy that owned it but the people that he had working for him that actually did the work were good and they did a really good job. He was obnoxious. The owner came and it was a hard sell. He wanted half the price down and I wasn’t really comfortable with that because I had just met him 45 minutes prior. I really didn’t want to hand over a $2,500 check but I did. He did what he said. He didn't actually do the work; he had a supervisor do the job. He does a lot of plumbing. They came when they said they were going to come and did what they said they said what were going to do. The guy that did the sump pump did an excellent job. They hired some young kids to do the grunt work but they were lazy and out of shape and couldn't do it so they kicked them out and did the work themselves with a couple of other guys. They did what they said they were going to do and they were here when they said they would be. They completed it within 4 or 5 days just like they said. I liked them except for the personality of the owner because I don't like a hard sell. The supervisor was very good and very responsive. He did what I asked him to do. He cleaned the backyard and didn't trash it. He took care of my backyard. They had to dig and put in new pipes and I couldn't even tell. When I asked questions he explained why they had to do it a certain way. He was good. I didn't really see the owner until it was time to be paid. I would use the guy that did the work again because he was good but I don't know about using the owner again. I would use them again for certain things.

    MJ Nicholls Landscaping LLC
I picked Matt Nicholls because of his good reviews on Angie's List, and I wasn't disappointed. We purchased a hillside property that had become overgrown with old bushes and ground cover, and was dangerous due to crumbling staircases. Matt came in and worked with us to develop a plan for turning it into the home we always wanted. He was very easy-going and great to work with; though he seems young when you meet him, he's quite knowledgeable and professional. He was also able to work with us to make changes/adjustments to the plan in order to fit within our budget. I had very particular requirements on the cultivar of birch and nectarine trees we planted, for reasons of hardiness and disease resistance. Even though I was probably driving him crazy, Matt never showed it. He was exceedingly patient with my requests, and worked with me to order these trees from nurseries in different states. His team was also amazing. Bruno (his stonemason) and Mauricio (general work) were on-site at 7:30 am every day for 3 weeks straight, working in blistering heat to excavate the property, and construct/rebuild all the stone walkways and staircases. Every morning we would chat with them, and they were both pleasant to talk to and also very considerate and thoughtful. I especially liked that they would show me the rough layout for the stonework they were about to do, to make sure I was happy with the plan before they started it. The quality of the work is outstanding. Not a week goes by (and it's been months since they finished) without us having someone pull over when driving by and telling us how great it looks. The property was an eyesore before, so this makes us (and our neighbors) very happy indeed. I would recommend MJ Nicholls landscaping to anyone, and will definitely use them again.
