    Mike came on time, asked me about the problems I was experiencing, & quickly went to work on my computer.  My computer was debugged, and a printer spooler problem was also resolved.  Mike was helpful, pleasant & friendly.  Just a little over a month later, my computer is still running well.

    problems persisted till the computer crashed...i found and continue to use a different company (A+ computers in Dorchester). My initial experience with Nexsys in 2009 was excellent (thus I sent in an A+ report to Angie's List) but from then on the work disintegrated at a fast rate.

    Some time has elapsed since the work was done but I will recall it as accurately as possible. The main incentive was the Big Deal price of $45-much cheaper than the usual cost. The appointment was easy to set up and the office staffperson was pleasant. A mix-up of my
    work date and/or time happened but after some calls, the technician was able to accomodate me.
               He worked quickly and efficiently to discard unnneccessary things, install a system for my photos, and set up new security among  other things. He also explained things to me ( a technically handicapped person). I was happy with this experience as I needed this done but also got a good price. It was a good way to evaluate a company.

    I've used them for repairs twice now and I have been very happy both times. They are fast, very easy to work with, and you can't beat their prices. The first time was to fix a broken monitor on my laptop (it suddenly went completely blank and would not turn back on despite repeated rebooting, etc). I did some research online and found it could be one of two problems, one more expensive to fix than the other. I took it to Nexsys and they told me it was the less expensive problem. They were quick to fix it and charged me $100 for the part and labor, which was a good deal because the part itself was selling for about the same amount online. The second time I had them install some more memory in my laptop. They charged me $35 for 1 GB, including installation, which was very reasonable. It only took them a few minutes to do it.

    I contacted Nexsys after seeing the excellent reports on Angie's list as well as talking to people who had used them. Don came to my house and spent several hours over two days (because my service provider's site was down on the first day so he had to come back). He talked to the overseas provider at length and then determined that the router needed to be replaced; he suggested I ask my provider to send me a new one and he would install it. He even advised me that it appeared I was paying too much for my phone service. I contacted my provider and they reduced my bill and sent me a new router free of charge. Don came by and installed it a week later. He also gave me recommendations on buying a printer and how to save some money, etc. He's very knowledgable, and explains things very well. I'm delighted there's someone so reliable I can call the next time I run into a problem.

    My daughter was told by the IT expert at her place of employment to junk her old laptop and buy a new one. It was just not worth the cost to fix. Since she more or less lives on a fixed budget she could not afford another $600. to replace her pink pride and joy. So she took it to her local computer store, Fixatronix, and got her computer back like new for less than a hundred bucks. Needless to say she is very pleased with Fixatronix. Well, as luck will have it, a couple of weeks later my laptop caught a Trojan house and all kinds of bugs and stopped working. So I called my daughter for her computer guy, Fixatronix. I brought my laptop to him the next day and he told me he would diagnose the problem and call me back with a price in a couple of hours. He told me diagnoses is free. Sure enough, he called me back in a couple of hours and explained what had to be done to fix my computer and the cost would be $95. and I could pick it up at 5 PM. Needless to say, I was very pleased. I decided to have my wife pick it up the next day. My computer is likewise like new. Mr. Kotoni saved my important documents and pictures and threw in a free lifetime virus protection program for free. I found him to be very professional and pleased to have my business. He even offered me a handshake. In the past, I have junked my old computers as places like Best Buy want a $160. up front before they will even look at your laptop and the price goes up from there. No wonder "IT" guys say junk it!

    My computer was completely turning off as though someone plugged the plug on it. I called Nexsys and described the problem and said I would bring it by later that evening (the shop is open until 7:00 pm). I arrived at the shop at 6:15 pm with my CPU. I fully expected that I would be leaving it there for inspection later that week but to my surprise, Keel brought the CPU over to a work station in the customer area and started working on it right in front of me. He immediately diagnosed what the problem was ��� the power supply had failed. He also noticed the interior was very dusty, so he brought it out back and vacuumed out the dust and returned with the CPU and a new power supply to install. He tested the computer and it was running so he reattached the computer cover and tested it again to make sure it was running correctly before he put it back in my suitcase. All the while he was explaining various things including what had happened and answered my questions about surge protectors and battery backups. I also bought a $45 battery backup while there because I thought it was worthwhile to have that protection in case of power outages that happen from time to time.

    He likes to ramble on and on and he talked about money a lot. I have never heard any other contractor talk about money as much as he talked about money. Even when I tried to redirect the conversation, he would just go back to talking about money. He made me uncomfortable and he spoke to me like I was a 9 year old. I know that he could of the job, but because he bedside manner was so terrible, there was no way I was letting him into my house.

    They showed me how to use it all and spoke to me in non-technical language so I didn't feel intimidated by it all. This was very important to me. Before I discovered these guys, I was going to need to schedule a computer company and then a stereo store. The stereo store would only connect to the PC and the computer guys would only set-up the computer. These guys were the only ones who did it all. Next I'm going to have them convert all my photographs into digital files onto my computer to preserve them and use for e-mail. They are very professional and I highly recommend these guys.

    STEVE IS A REAL PROFESSIONAL, AND THINK HE WAS FANTASTIC GETTING ALL THE KINKS AND GLITCHES OUT OF MY COMPUTER. IT NOW WORKS AS WELL AS IT DID ON THE DAY I BOUGHT IT, AND I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE BEFORE HE HELPED ME.
