Josh was curteous, efficient, knowledgable and responsive. He quickly assessed the problem, provided an immediate written estimate, scheduled the work within the week. When he first entered the house, he removed his shoes before walking on the carpet. On the day of the repair, he called to say he was running 10 minutes behind. THe work done was great and so far, no leaks! Josh also provided pictures when the repair was complete.

Terrible. I have a wood-burning stove, which I mentioned when I called, and the person they sent had no idea how to clean it. Just stared at it for a few hours. Then swept the inside - I could have done that - and that was it. He never disconnected it from the pipe that feeds out of the chimney, which when I had it cleaned by a company after them, I was told was necessary.
It took the person so long to NOT clean the stove, that they never cleaned the oil burner flue in the basement. A week later they sent someone else out who was down the basement for no more than 2-3 minutes and said I was all set.
Never once did someone go on my roof.
I complained to the main office and was told no one needed to go on the roof. I expressed my concern that neither flue was cleaned properly, since the stove wasn't disconnected and the oil burner took mere seconds to complete. I was told it was by the person on the phone, and I needed to pay.
Obviously I refused, and wanted it done properly.
After a few traded voicemails, I got a letter that they filed a complaint to my credit report. My score was 780 at the time.
    So thanks.
And then when I had a different company come out to inspect, he said the oil burner flue was terrible (this was less than a month later) and it took him almost 30 minutes to clean it, including going up on the roof with a brush. The stove he completely disconnected and cleaned, which he said was necessary and there was no proper way to clean the stove flue without disconnecting it from the vent pipe.
    Terrible overall experience. Truly awful.

    Marblehead Chimney
Very happy with the job. He was fast and clean. He even gave me a history of the  decline of fireplaces & why! It was fascinating. I love history so I found it very interesting but I am also thinking of adding another fireplace to my home and was not aware that just because a contractor can build a fireplace does not mean it will work properly, so I gained valuable information as well as clean chimney. I would  highly recommend Marblehead Chimney.

It went really well.  Josh was professional, informative and very neat and tidy.  He gave recommendations for outside repairs, as requested, and we will definitely be calling him back to do more work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased for chimney cleaning. It was good. It was a free inspection and he said that it actually didn't need to be cleaned. He was very pleasant. He said that I could use the $89 that I paid for it in the future to buy a cap or to have it cleaned. He didn't actually have to do anything and it was good to know that it is actually okay. He was very prompt and came when it was a good time for me. He was very friendly.

I bought a $99 DEAL from Angie's List for a chimney sweep.  Dave contacted me the next day. He came promptly but once he saw my chimney, he said he needed another person to help him with the cleaning as it was a tougher job than expected.  He came back a

He arrived ontime. I have a pellet stove insert and this confused him as he was not aware of how to pull it out. Then the layout of my curved flue pipe made for a difficult job for him to sweep but he did his best. Overall he is knowledgeable about chimney though. I'd use him again.

Dave was great. He went above and beyond with his inspection. He gave us a ton of information during and after his work. He certainly has a great amount of pride and dedication in his work. And the prices he gave us for suggested work were very good. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for Chimney service and will DEFINITELY be calling him again in the future.
I cant say enough good stuff about Marblehead Chimney. Using anyone else would be the wrong decision.

    The Fireplace Doctor
They cancelled first appt. date (July 17) due to serviceman's illness.  Although they said someone would call back to reschedule, no one did, so we had to call them.  The earliest date they could reschedule was 3 months past the original date (Oct 18.)
However, once he got here, the work was done to my satisfaction.

I hired AAA Chimney almost exclusively based on other Angie's List member reports on the company....and i wasn't dissapointed. Tom showed up right on time, performed the sweep service with professional efficiency and even took the time to walk me through a few questions I had for him on adding fireplace doors to the fireplace. I will recommend AAA to everyone I know.
