From the initial estimate visit to the final installation day, I have had nothing but positive experiences with both the office staff and the plumber's on-site. They clearly value their customers and will try to do anything to make for a positive experience. Lisa at the office was incredibly communicative and really made the impossible happen when I experienced a scheduling delay/mishap on my end. The plumbers themselves were timely, professional, polite, highly skilled, and attentive to make sure everything was working properly. Their pricing was very reasonable as well! ABaker Elman PlumbingI feel extremely fortunate to have found Baker Elman Plumbing. When I find a company I can trust and does high quality work, I stick with them. And that's my experience with Baker Elman; it has been nothing but wonderful. Here's why. I am in the process of replacing an old, leaky toilet in my mom's home, but it has been a bit of a saga trying to find the right toilet to fit an awkwardly shaped space. When her toilet first started leaking, I called another plumbing company which I also found through Angie's List that I won't name. Their plumbers came in, took a picture of where/how the toilet was leaking, and told me that there was no way to fix it; it would have to be replaced. This took about 15 minutes. Strangely, the toilet started leaking more profusely after they left. They charged me $200 and sent me two options for doing work: one estimate for them providing a new toilet and installing it, and a different option for if I provided the new toilet for them to install. Both estimates were over $500. In addition, they recommended I get an elongated toilet. Although they didn't seem bad, I wasn't that positively impressed with my experience with the company--their price nor their sense of work ethic (they had to change their schedule arrive 3 times on the same day as they were running late-- so I continued to do my research and that's when I came across Baker Elman Plumbing. To shorten this story, when the Baker Elman plumber came today, he removed my mom's old toilet, but then when he was about to install the new one, he noticed that the toilet bowl I had had delivered was broken (When he went to unpack it, he heard parts clanking around that shouldn't be.) So, he then reinstalled my mom's old toilet AND FIXED THE LEAK, so that the toilet is better functioning, while I wait for the new toilet to arrive. This, of course, was in direct contrast to the first plumbers who not only told me the leak couldn't be fixed, but in fact, seem to make the leak worse. (In addition, it turns out for the space where I have to put the toilet, I shouldn't have an elongated toilet. It needs to be round, so that my mom can use it safely.) I value companies that hold themselves to a high level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity, and Baker Elman is just that. Even though their prices are very reasonable, the care, competence and integrity shown by their company from the owner--who reads emails from her customers-- to their technicians is something you really can't put a price on.- SONYA B.

They were suppose to remove the dishwasher as well, but Mike was alone, but he informed me that he will arrange for pickup to remove the old dishwasher on another day. I paid in full for the service which included removal. Thinking in the back of my mind, that they won't come back. (Unfortunately it happens sometimes with other companies). A few days later, Mike and his co-worker came back to pick up the old dishwasher. I would absolutely hire this company again, and recommend it to anyone who needs any repairs.- Carolyn B.

AWe had a miscommunication with a Home Depot gas range delivery and install and long story short, they were unable to install the unit and just left it in our dining room. I reached out to Edgeworth later that evening and within an hour, they responded to schedule an appointment. They are very responsive via text message! They gave us a 2-hour service window and on the day of service, showed up on time and completed the installation and removal of the old gas range. We had terrific service from Edgworth Appliance and I can't praise them enough. I would absolutely hire again and would recommend to anyone looking for similar service offering.

AI'm sure many of you can relate, but every so often, water heaters fail.. and ours happened today. We found Baker Elman based on reviews here and by word of mouth, and gave a call. Within minutes, we had a quote and guidance from Lisa, and within hours we had the installation completed by a very professional and efficient team. We didn't expect such fast service given the fact that they had such little notice and they were packed already with appointments. When I sent an email thanking them, Lisa responded with "You’re welcome! We try hard especially when people have no hot water or heat!!" That is very true!
