    Anthony The Painter
Tony was great. He was nice and personable and did an amazing job painting. He was very reasonably priced for the amount of work needed and he completed the job in only 4 days. He has an extreme attention to detail and everything came out perfect. He was even great with our energetic puppy. I would definitely recommend Tony and will be using him again with our future needs.

After I called Mark for a quote I received an immediate call back and very timely estimate.  The estimate was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done.  Throughout the process Mark was extremely professional and excellent at keeping me informed regarding the status of the project.  He answered emails and returned calls immediately.  He was very accommodating to my requests and adapted quickly when changes were requested.  When he was scheduled to perform work he was there when he said that he would be.  He did an excellent job of protecting  our property and cleaning up once he was done.  Aaron who works with Mark was a perfectionist taking great pride in everything that he did.  The quality of the work was outstanding.  All in all, I could not have asked for anything more.

Jake scheduled an appointment via email for Sunday 5/24 at noon to look at my living room damage and give me an estimate to repair. Not only did he not show up, he didn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call to let me know he couldn't make the appointment. Not very professional.

After the storm Jason came out to see the damage and placed a tarp over the hole until it was time to come out to do the work.  He arrived when expected and got right down to business.  He and his crew were able to accomplish a great deal of work in a short amount of time while achieving excellent results.  They did exactly what they said they would do, were respectful and very reasonable pricewise.  I would definitely call them again if I experienced an emergency or just needed some type of home repair or improvement.

    Schmidt Painting
I signed up for the big deal and tried via email and telephone to schedule the appointment.  About a week later, I finally reached Derrick Schmidt to schedule the repair.  It was just after a major storm so its was not surprising the soonest he could schedule a time was a full month out and we agreed to a date/time.  When noone arrived the morning of the scheduled repair, I telephoned Derrick and he told me did not have it on his calendar.  He offered to send someone out the following day, which was fine.  His worker came to do the repair the following afternoon.  In completing the repair, we had a couple issues.  First, he accidentally broke the glass in a $900 light which as it turns out can not be repaired or replaced.  Second, the width of the replacement drywall was thinner than the existing ceiling drywall.  He compensated for the 1/16" difference by filling the 43"x 48" area with a fill compound.  This fill was not dry by the time he wanted to leave but he believed the sanding I would need to do would be minimal and then I could prime/paint the area after.    The next day, it was clear that more repair was necessary.  There was a ridge where the new/old drywall met and there was a significant amount of further fill and sanding required.  Initially, Derrick told me that the worker would have to pay for the light repair - I could not agree with this in principal since it was an accident and further was probably more than this person makes in a week, I agreed with Derrick that if they came back out and finished the repair properly, sanded, and then painted the full kitchen ceiling area that we could settle the issue.  Derrick agreed to have the worker come back out the following Saturday.  The worker showed up in the morning and was there about 7 hours working on the repair of the ceiling and then painting the kitchen ceiling.  In general he worked very hard at getting things corrected and I applaud his effort.  However, both Derrick and the worker indicated the house was "far" and on both occasions that the worker was here, there was more emphasis on the 25-30 miles than on getting the repair right so at the end of the 7 hours when there was still some minor sanding and then finish painting left to do, I decided I would just finish it myself the next day when everything dried.  That was two days ago.  I have since sanded the area and there are still many irregularities in the plaster.  I plan to continue to try to repair the work and will then finish with the painting.   While both the worker and Derrick seem to be very nice, conscientious folks, I think that I would have been better off overall finding someone who actually was interested in doing the work and had a little more expertise with this type of repair.
