  • Called and scheduled service because this is one of two companies that do warranty repair for Kitchen Aid in this area. First time I called to schedule I waited 2 days for service. The guy came out, told me I'd left the door ajar and was responsible for my problem, charged me $80 and left. (I did no such thing) 
    Coils froze over again two weeks later. This time I called on a Monday and they didn't come out until Thursday. Defrosted the coils again, said "well I can't find anything wrong with it, maybe it's this fan" (a small voltage tiny fan used to keep moisture off the evap coils ... which is probably NOT the problem) but I let them go ahead and order the part. 
    Two weeks later I get a call saying they need to order the part (why wasn't it ordered the day after my last date of service??) and was told it wasn't under warranty (it is) but they won't tell me who called kitchen aid and confirmed that it wasn't out of warranty. It's a cheap part and I NEED MY FRIDGE. 
    The next week it happens again. I call on a Friday. They can't get anyone out until Wednesday. Today he comes and takes apart my fridge only to find that they ordered the wrong part. He puts everything back together without defrosting my coils (claims he doesn't have a steamer and the company doesn't have enough steamers to send out with employees), so I still have no working fridge. They won't send anyone back out. They won't make any accommodations to get my fridge defrosted even though this has been an ongoing problem since the end of June. Horrible. Never use these people.

  • James amazingly answered our initial call and came over that same week on a Saturday to help us out.  He cleaned out all of the "charred black" lint that had built up and gave it to us straight that the we could put some big money into our 10 year old dryer with parts and service, however he advised that we more realistically just replace the old clogged hose ourselves and let it die in it's own time.  James was very forthcoming with advise on what make and models are the most reliable, and was even generous enough to answer and advise questions on our other appliances as well.  I would highly recommend J M Appliance Service and will be calling him again in the future.

  • I have a GE Stainless Steel Side by Side refrigerator that shut down on me on New Years Day.  The next morning, at 7:30AM,  I called Jim Moore (Proprietor: Southborough Appliance).  Jim answered the phone on the second ring.  He was extremely polite and explained that he had a number of appointments already set up for that day but, guaranteed me that he would get to me by the early afternoon.  He was a man of his word and arrived at my house at 1:00PM.  He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the heater/thermometer assembly and had the machine back up and running within an hour.  While on site he showed great respect for the property ensuring that he was neat and cleaned up after his work.  In addition to his technical competence he conducted himself as a gentlemen and had an easy going manner.  While at my house he received several calls from other customers.  I observed that he treated these customers with the same respect that he showed me. 
    In closing, I found him to be both a quality craftsman and a quality individual, whom I can trust.  If in the future I have a problem with any large applicance, my first call will be to Jim Moore at Southborough Applicance.
