    R&D Tree Services
They came with heavy equipment including a bucket truck, a log truck, and another truck pulling a chipper. Everybody worked efficiently and professionally - all nice guys who were friendly, answering all my questions. They put plywood to protect the lawn from truck tires. I highly recommend them to anyone.

The service as described below was not performed as promised by vendor. 7/15/15: received estimate of work to remove 2 pine, 1 apple tree, grind stumps for removed trees, remove lower limbs from oak at my home. Confirmed they would chase/grind roots above ground leading from pines. 8/10-12/15: Scheduled work. Spoke to owner Luis Guttierres on phone to confirm depth of grinding and if roots would be taken care of. He told me roots would be ground up if workers knew which roots to grind. Owner said machine would grind down at least 12 inches down. 8/13/15: Work performed by vendor. All seemed well when workers left property. Grindings covered job site. 9/5/15: Cleared grindings from work area. Revealed that grinding of pine stumps and roots was not performed as promised. The roots that were noted to workers were partially done but not completed. Portions of stump and noted roots are visible above ground level. Don't think there was confusion about what was to be done. Issue is job was not finished. 9/14/15: Asked for advice of general contractor doing some work at house. I'm a homeowner. Contractor confirmed my opinion that job was not finished and I should contact vendor. Made many calls in Sept and Oct to vendor, spoke to Thais and Viviane Guitteres requesting vendor send someone to remedy issue. Vendor agreed to remedy situation (finish job in their words), said they scheduled workers to come to house on three different occasions but workers never came. Last call made 10/6/15 requesting to speak to Vivianne or Luis, Vivianne returned call same day and said someone would be at house afternoon of 10/6/15. Nobody came.
We have expended considerable time and energy clearing area to show vendor problem, making calls, waiting at home for vendor. Lawn still needs to be landscaped and seeded.
If you chose this vendor definitely don't pay cash.

Outstanding!  They showed up and completed work on time.  Estimate was for 1/2 day of services.  They worked every minute plus cleared away my brush pile.  I highly recommend R&D Tree Service.

My house is up in the woods so not the easiest place to access.  And, the trees just keep growing.  So, while I hate to take down nice mature trees, I have to when they start leaning toward the house, restricting the growth of other nearby trees, or just restricting air movement such that the shrubs get fungus.  Steve came out within a couple of days of my call.  I pointed out one dead tree that needed to be removed and then we walked around and looked at some that I absolutely want to keep and, given those, what others should be removed.  I also showed him a couple of piles of small (mabye 3-4" diameter) trees I'd taken down myself that I wanted to have removed.  We talked about his crew, their supervision, project timing, etc.  Within a few days he'd emailed the estimate, which wasn't the lowest but, given the coupon, was well in the middle of all I'd gotten.  I had a couple of questions which he promptly answered.  Once I notified him that I'd like to have him do the work we set up the date.
I had to leave for work before they arrived and had hoped to get off early so I could get home while the crew was there.  But I didn't make it.  I was very pleasantly surprised to arrive home and see that all of the work was done...up to and including my long driveway having been blown clean from end to end.  Even happier to find that my custom landscaping, of which I have a lot, was intact.
Both high quality work and excellent customer service---often, I think it's good to get one or the other and getting both is unusual.  Yet that's just what I got from R&D.  I have more work to be done once the groundcover clears a bit in the Fall and I'll definitely be having Steve and his crew back!

    Quality Restoration
I'm preparing my house for sale and they helped me tremendously. I have an old house built in 1867 and so it was not something everybody was willing to work with. They are excellent, they are terrific to work with and they were very responsive when I contacted them. I explained my situation to them and they made some recommendations which was great. They were able to work within three days. I just loved that they had an opening, someone had delayed to work and they were terrific. It was very professional, they were all extremely nice and cleaned up everyday. It took them a good 6-7 days to do everything and they did everything they could to keep the costs within what I could afford but still accomplished the work. They did a lot of work for me. I like what they were saying about the house plus the fact my house is built in 1867 and the gentleman who runs this business loves working on old houses. I have a lot of ginger bread on this house on the outside that some of it had rotted that needed to be replaced and he was able to tell me he could make it look exactly like the rest of the house. I felt for the money they were asking it was very reasonable more so than anybody else I had contacted and as it turns out we went over.

    R&D Tree Services
I sent an email on Monday asking for a quote to remove the tree.  In a couple of hours, I received an email from R&D asking for my contact info and address so they could come by for a quote.  He called on Thursday and asked if he could come by to look at the tree and give me a quote.  He came by, gave a quote and said he planned to be back the next day to take care of it.  Within an hour, he called back and asked if he could come over immediately since he had equipment in the area.  So he came back with his guys and equipment and took out the tree in no more than a couple of hours.  They ran everything through the chipper then cleaned up everything as if they had never been there.
This was not a straight forward job in that our driveway is steep downward from the street, narrow, and curvy so that it was tricky getting the bucket truck close enough to the tree.  Also, the tree was behind a fence on a steep slope so they had to strategically use ropes to hoist cut pieces up and over the fence.  Very well done with no damage to the fence or the shed sitting close by.  Nice guys...pleasant experience.

    Stumpy's Tree Service Inc
Bad weather was scheduled to come that afternoon, so Stumy's actually came early to complete the work in the time without having to reschedule.  They were professional, courteous, and efficient.  They even cut up one of the little trees that they removed, so that we could have some firewood.  They were great.

    Fontaine Tree Experts Co
all him back two days later on 8/9/2013 to setup a time to do the job. Mr Fontaine told me at that time it would be a couple of weeks before he could do the job and he would call me back to schedule a specific day. I was fine with this. I waited a month and had not heard back from him, so I called and left a message on 9/9/2013. Mr. Fontaine never returned that call, and I called again the following week on 9/16/2013, and got a hold of him. Mr. Fontaine told me that he was booked up and would try to fit in the job the following week. I never heard back from Mr. Fontaine after that and I ended up having the job done by Worcester Tree and Stump who was able to come out and the job during the last week of October 2013.

    Worcester Tree & Stump
This company was prompt and did a very good job cleaning up afterwards. They were not the cheapest estimate I got, but they did an excellent job, considering some of the trees that were trimmed back were in difficult locations inaccessible from the bucket truck and overhanging power lines.
