From initial contact through final delivery, I found all of Wilson's staff to be professional, friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, true to their word and an all around pleasure to work with. I was particularly impressed with the degree to which Gary Wilson (owner) was engaged in the design process. He asked many questions, had lots of ideas and was able to communicate these in a manner that made sense and was easy to understand. He returned a quote very quickly, explained all the options, and responded to questions in a timely manner, and communicated regularly throughout the process. He and his install staff instilled confidence in their work. Project was completed on time and these units work marvelously! I couldn't be more pleased and I would highly recommend Wilson services to anyone in our area.

    The folks answering the phone at Pioneer were very pleasant and scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and give me a quote. Nick Ruggiano came out. He was on time for appointment, professional, and pleasant. He had quite a bit to say (and even said he likes to talk). He asked questions and did look all around the house to understand what we were looking for but I think/wish he could have listened more and/or told me more about the product and/or thoughts regarding installation. He did make some general recommendations but in talking with some competitors, they seemed much more engaged in the intricacies of the installation and gave compelling reasons to go with alternatives to the general setup recommended by Nick. Nick gave me his card and asked me to send him an email so he could send me a quote. I sent him an email the next day. I have not heard back from him since--it has been almost three weeks. Since other companies have been just as nice, professional, and reputable--and followed up quickly with a quote--one of them has earned my business. Too bad Nick/Pioneer never gave me the quote they promised. My thinking is a customer shouldn't have to hunt down this information--that also bodes poorly for support after the sale.

    We had to bring somebody in to correct all the problems. He gave an estimate and once he dug into it that other guy screwed up so badly that the estimate had to be changed. We were planning on saying, we think you underestimated this a bit and we were going to voluntarily offer some money and they wanted more. It worked out fine. Wilson came in and saved the day. They took the money and we came to some kind of agreement. I said hey you already gave us an estimate we were voluntarily going to do this; we will come to some kind of agreement but it's not going to be what you think now. But they saved the day. He came out and put in an estimate and I did hire him. Then I had to count on him to come back out and save the day. I would bring Wilson back. If we have any problem I will bring him back, but he is expensive.

    Gary Wilson did an analysis of our home heating needs, worked with us on possible solutions and submitted proposals... ultimately, we went with another provider who gave us a better price on the particular option we selected (Note: Wilson did have a better price on several other options)... through it all, we were very impressed by Wilson's knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness... we would certainly not hesitate to utilize Wilson Services for any HVAC or plumbing needs in the future...

    Superb work. I had several companies come out to give estimates on replacing a 25 year old 8 zone radiant heat system. Bryan was the only one that understood the old design and came up with a very elegant but simple plan to modernize and restore function to the system. Competitors came up with hopelessly complex, expensive and cumbersome alternatives. Bryan replaced the entire system in just over 24 hours in the winter. Competitors estimated 2-4 weeks to complete the project. I highly recommend hometown heating and cooling.

    Called the company first-thing on a summer Monday morning for an over-the-weekend central air failure.  They called back before 9:30, and the tech was out at the house by noon.  It turned out that the coil was seriously frozen, and needed to thaw before further diagnostics and work could proceed.  A second visit was scheduled for Wednesday; the tech arrived promptly within the provided time window.  The company did not assess a second call charge despite there being two visits, which I thought very fair.  The second tech identified the probable source of the problem fairly quickly, discussed my options in an understandable way and with sufficient detail for me to make a relatively informed decision, promptly executed the repairs, and gave me some advice about ways in which I could solve a not-totally-related issue.  The company accepts credit cards, which is extremely convenient.  Everyone I interacted with at the company - two service techs, an answering service, and a service coordinator - were both pleasant and professional.  I will probably go to this company first when my system needs to be replaced in a few years.

    Very responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable.  We had a series of "hiccups" in getting the furnace to stay on during the coldest days of a very cold winter, and it took some trial and error for the problem to be identified and fixed.  Their responsiveness was excellent throughout this process, though the problem itself was frustrating.  Would certainly recommend.

    I hired Wilson Services to replace a two-zone ductless, mini-split air conditioning system that wasn't working well. It was a complicated job due to the location of the indoor units (on interior walls) and the need for the new system to be compatible with existing infrastructure. Two other companies I consulted wouldn't even bid on the job because they didn't think they could do it given the constraints. A third company gave me a quote based on one brief visit to my condo and a cursory look around. It turns out the new mini-split system they wanted to install would have required upgrading my electrical service and running new wiring, something they probably wouldn't have discovered until they were half way through the job and would have been a big extra cost. Wilson Services, in contrast, did a careful examination of the premises and a lot of preliminary engineering before I even signed a contract to ensure their quote was accurate and any potential problems were identified up front; they were very thorough in estimating the scope and cost of the job. As a result the work went pretty smoothly -- there were a few glitches, which were quickly dealt with, but no big or expensive surprises. Overall, Gary Wilson and his crew (Lee and Dimitri) did an excellent job. They were competent, considerate, and polite. They were easy to reach by phone or email and always got back to me quickly. Once I accepted the contract, they showed up promptly the next day to do the work. I'm happy to recommend Wilson Services to anyone in need of an HVAC contractor.
