Chiropractor reviews in Northampton

    Daniel Shaver, DC
Only having gone twice, it is early days. But having gone to a chiropractor in 2 countries, and a variety of states since 1983...I've probably seen a dozen...I can attest to Dr. Shaver's careful care. He did a review the first visit, full history and check. Took under an hour. Then an adjustment.
    Second time an adjustment.
His adjustment's include a variety of techniques I've had over the years. He tailors these to the patient I'd guess. He has a drop table and various gizmos in office.
But let it be said, so far...and I recognize it's early but can re-do this...he has been one of my top chiropractors. And as I said, I've seen a variety.

    Coulombe, Dr. Bruce
Dr. Coulombe is amazing. I was in a car accident years ago and started to see a different chiropractor and then began seeing Dr. Coulombe a few years ago and he is amazing! He takes time to listen and respond to my concerns. I've never felt better. He is so kind and gentle. I highly recommend him.

    Miller, Dr. Steven
I have been seeing chiropractors for many years for back and neck muscle pain.  I have been using Steve as needed since I moved back to the valley.  He uses a different approach to chiropractic which includes more muscle manipulation and will give you exercises or stretches to help permanently manage the problem.  In the afternoons the receptionist doesn't work and I just go into the waiting area.  In a few minutes Steve comes out, and then I go into the treatment room while he takes care of the exiting patient.  He usually spends about 30 minutes with me working on my back and neck after asking what is bothering me today and doing a brief examination.
I was having some problems with some new exercises which we worked through and made a different plan of treatment.  Earlier exercises have almost completely controlled my tension head aches.
He is very kind, gentle and patient and knows how the body is connected and how types of repetitive motions can cause problems.

    Allen, Dr. Barbara J.
I was having lower back pain, especially after exercise. Barbara did work on my back and legs and recommended orthodics. I had several appointments and was much, much better. Sometimes it seemed like she wasn't really doing much - it was so gentle compared to the old "crack the neck" style of chiropractic I was accustomed to - but it definitely made a difference.

    Arnould, Dr. Josef
Todays appointment was to treat a flare up of low back pain; I was seen promptly, had a complete exam and my concerns were heard and addressed. I feel much better already, and have a follow up exercise plan and appointment to ensure that the problem has resolved.

    Miller, Dr. Steven
He sees patients for about a half-hour or 45 minutes, and it is based on muscle work , not generally any kind of chiropractic manipulation involving the spine etc. He has not been that helpful with my upper back and neck pain, but has been helpful with lower back and leg issues.

    Arnould, Dr. Josef
I wanted to try Dr. Arnould because I knew that he emphasizes exercise to prevent problems, which is an approach I like. He did give me some good exercises to do, but his chiropractic care was not very effective. He was unable to relieve the pain in my mid-back, despite numerous tries, some of which were quite painful. I ended up going back to my old chiropractor, who was much more successful (Dr. Bruce Coulombe-I've reviewed him also). In addition to his adjustments not working, he was also always late. I never waited less than 10 minutes for him, and sometimes waited 20 minutes or so. Very annoying.

    Miller, Dr. Steven
Steven does not generally do chiropractic adjustments, like cracking your back. He analyzes your problem by watching you move and feeling the muscle. Then he works on the muscle and maybe does minor adjustments. He always prescribes exercises to help the muscle recover. He is almost more like a physical therapist than a chiropractor. He has been very helpful for me.

    Beck, Patricia
Gentle manipulation, personal. She doesn't take my insurance, but I go anyway. The price is fabulous and she works as long as need be. You won't sit in the waiting room to get yanked around for 5 minutes. She listens, is gentle and knowledgeable and doesn't skimp on care.
