The team was very punctual and did an excellent job cutting and removing all three trees. I was amazed to see their precision in cutting and how quickly they completed the job. They also did a very good job cleaning up.

    Keith's Tree Service
We have seen the trucks for Keith's Tree Company for a long time. When we moved into our new home, it was the first company that came to mind for help with our trees. We had large tree branches over our house, trees too close to our house, as well as "sick" trees if that makes sense. Many trees were just looking dangerous to us city folks. This work was done in early September 2016. We have many very large trees removed among other things. This company was completely professional and everything went smoothly. We would most definitely use Keith's company again. We couldn't ask for better service. Great work!!!

Jason was very engaging and easy to talk too. Originally our schedules conflicted for the initial assessment but he stayed in touch and we found a mutual time to get it done. I appreciated that he reached out and stayed in touch with me. In my experiences it's always the reverse and disappointing. He came for the assessment and noticed the areas I had mentioned but was also able to point out other problems that could be taken care of as well as some things to keep an eye on in the future. His estimate was extremely competitive, and there was no BS involved. Other companies I obtained estimates from wanted me to pull up part of my fence to get a truck in, or get access from my neighbors yard, both of which would have been extremely inconvenient. I agreed to his proposal and they contacted me a few days out to let me know when they'd be there. I was working that day, but was informed I didn't need to be home for the work. They performed all the work beautifully, let me know they were done, and my wife was able to pay once she arrived home. Obviously not being around for any of it, I was a little worried about what I'd find when I got home, but I was happily surprised. All work was done beautifully, and it was like they were never there. A true pleasure to work with, I will definitely use them again in the future when we need more tree work done.

    APP Tree Inc
We were extremely happy with the work performed, the cleanup and the ease of working with the team and the owners.  Prior to contracting for the service our on line research found some negative reviews but there were also reviews that wer e positive.  Those reviews were more comprehensive, most emphasizing excellent value for the work performed.  We decided to work with App tree service because of the responsiveness of Zack , a great sales person with lots of genuine sincerity....nice young man.  It was a great experience for a job that we had a lot of anxiety.  We will be doing more work on our lot , which we have owned for fifty years.  We are senior citizens .....we are very careful in selecting contractors to work on our property.  App tree service met our standards.  They will be contracted to do all our tree work

Steve Murphy came and gave me a quote a little over a week ago.  I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of trees.  He explained everything that he would do and his estimate was exactly as we discussed.  They scheduled the work to be done and Steve, Jason & team showed up as planned.  They worked non-stop until the job was done.  When finished, Steve took me around to show me what they had done and make sure I was happy with the job.  I was more than happy.  They cleaned up so good, you would not have even know they were there.  Thank you!!

    McGuinness Tree Service
This was the single worst experience I've ever had with any contractor.  The trees were being removed to make way for the installation of a swimming pool.  Part of the removal took place on conservation land.  Permission had been obtained from our town's conservation commission for the removal of a limited number of trees in the conservation area.  The day before the work was to commence, I had my irrigation service mark the location of underground tubing and an electrical line between the house and a well pump.  This was done by the irrigation company using bright white lines of landscaping paint.  On the day the services were provided and before the work commenced, I walked the supervisor and crew through the yard and showed them the white lines and pump location. As the work proceeded, the supervisor and crew ignored the location of the lines and made single cuts on trees in those areas (some were large oaks) taking them down whole instead of taking them down in smaller pieces that could be more easily removed from the construction area.  The trees were felled against other trees in the conservation area snapping the tops off of a number of them and bending over another tree at almost a 90 degree angle (which they said would recover but hasn't).  Once the trees had been knocked down, they weren't cut into smaller pieces but dragged by one end using a tractor (which spun its wheels deep into my yard while pulling the trees) while the other end of the tree created a deep trench in my yard.  The trees were dragged directly across the white line marking the tubing and wiring for the pump which ripped the tubing and wiring out of the ground and pulled them off the pump and jarring the pump.  When confronted about the damage, the elder McGuinness, who is also the owner, immediately claimed that he wasn't responsible for any damage caused for underground pipes and electrical lines and that I should read our contract.  I responded that I had read the contract and that the section is titled "Undisclosed Utilities" and that I had not only disclosed the lines but went through the trouble of having them marked by the irrigation company and walked his supervisor and crew through the area pointing out the location of the pump and the markings.   He then changed tactics to claiming that the lines weren't buried deep enough and therefore he wasn't responsible.  He told me if I didnt pay him, that he'd have an inspector up in an hour from the state.  I responded that the lines were buried legally and properly and that he should have the inspector come by (no one ever showed up).  In my view McGuinness was very unprofessional in their approach and tactics.  I'd requested that we have my irrigation company provide us an estimate of the damage done and then go from there but he wasn't interested because he wasn't taking any responsibility for the damage regardless of the estimate.  When he demanded full payment the day of the services, I refused but offered to make a 75% payment and hold back the rest until we had an estimate of the damages.  He refused and said he was leaving with the entire payment or nothing at all and that I would be "very sorry".  He also told me that he might have taken something off the bill for the damage done, but because they gave me a discount from the original quote (which was done to win the business from another bidder) he wasn't going to do anything about the damage.  I tried to arrange a reasonable process to resolve this (the 75% payment immediately and then we'd follow-up once I got the damage quote on Monday) but he told me again that I'd be very sorry if I didn't pay him right then and there and that it would end up costing me much more if I didn't pay in full immediately.  I pointed out that it would he in both of our interests to work something out as we'd both end up spending more on lawyers than on the damage done which I was guessing at the time was about $500.  He replied that he'd spend $10,000 before he gave up even a $1 of the fee and stormed off.  The stumps which were to have been grinded were left undone.  Subsequently, I got an estimate of the damage to the irrigation system and wrote a letter to McGuinness enclosing a check for the amount of the services provided less the damage estimate and fee for the stump grinding that wasn't done.  The check and letter were sent certified mail which McGuinness refused to sign for and take receipt of.  After several weeks of checking the status of the certified letter, I called and let them know that I had made payment and sent that to them via certified mail which they refused to sign for and take receipt of.  I got a call back about a week later from Jim McGuinness, the owner's son and head of sales, saying that they were aware of the certified letter but refused to sign for it and that i should send it regular mail.  I told them I didn't feel comfortable sending it regular mail and agreed to send it via overnight mail.  I received a return receipt for the overnight package and yet the check went uncashed until mid-October (services were provided July 3 and the first letter and check were original sent on July 14th).  The period from when the services were provided until now have been very stressful and I had to deal with a broken irrigation system and several damaged trees on the conservation land that they told me would recover that haven't and therefore will need to be addressed in the spring. My neighbor also complained about McGuinness and the damage done to the conservation land.
I understand that things can go wrong on a job, but what's important to me is how a contractor conducts themselves when this occurs.  I have never had an experience like this.  In my opinion, McGuinness' conduct in this matter was very unprofessional.
Needless to say, I will never use this contractor again and do not recommend them.

Everything was very favorable. They did exactly what we asked them to do. There was no damage to the rest of the area and they cleaned up after themselves in a nice way. I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to cost me twice, but it did not.

They were knowledgeable. Estimate came out in the summer, work was done in the off season for a cheaper price. About four men came out to trim down about ten trees. It took one day to complete. They were quick to come out to do the estimate and show me which trees were a danger and which were good to go.

    Lorax Tree Service
Showed up on time for quote and to perform work. Unfortunately, he only completed abut 80% of the work on the specified day. Almost two weeks later the debris had still not been picked up. He had his reasons but there was still a mess in my yard for an unreasonable period of time. He also had equipment problems which prevented him from doing the stump grinding himself.
However, overall, the price was very fair for the large amount of removal he did. I would use him again but would take precautions to define the timing of completion more clearly.

Went great outside on one small log slightly hitting the
chain link fence.  Jason and his crew
were very careful working in a tight area so i have no complaints and plan to
use his service again.  Crew cleaned up
great and cut the wood into fireplace length for me couldn't ask for more
