    Park Street Veterinary Clinic
I would definitely recommend them. They are very good. They were so wonderful. They are great with the pets and they are great with the people. We used them for both of our pets over the past like year and a half, 2 years. The way they go about it and everything, it’s definitely like a part of the family in there. They are very good that way. They go for the extra mile.

    A HOUSE CALL VET
When she arrived, she spent time talking to me about their diet (I have three cats) and what I should change. She didn't lecture, but taught me how to read the cans and what I should be looking for. I have taken her advice seriously and all three cats are doing well with the changes. | |She then examined my older cat and ordered a complete blood work up on him. The results were not what we expected and she spent time on the phone with me providing options. Later, after I had made up my mind what to do, she spent more time with me letting me know what I could do for him. During these calls she was professional and compassionate. | |Overall, my cat was happy he wasn't put in a carrier and brought to foreign surroundings to be examined by someone who wanted him in and out of the exam room in 20 minutes. By coming to the house, Dr. Lipton was able to observe 2 out of the 3 cats and could comment on their well being too. I plan to use her again in the future and keep her updated on my old guy's progress. I thoroughly recommend Dr. Lipton.

We boarded our two dogs over a long weekend .  One of our dogs is a giant schnauzer and the other a standard schnauzer and they had always been kennel boarded.  I never liked the idea that our larger dog (98 pounds), especially, spent most of his time cooped up so I was very happy that they were accepted here after a trial day.  As a bonus (for me) there was another Giant Schnauzer and several standard schnauzers there too.

The staff was always friendly and helpful.

When we picked the dogs up, they appeared happy and well cared for and I had much less guilt than if they had been cooped up that entire time.

The owner groomed my dogs hair and cut my dog in the process. She put an adhesive and my dogs cut got infected. I had to take my dog to the vet. I requested for her to pay my vet bill and she refused.

These people were super friendly and professional. They really care about the animals and have a great environment for them. They picked up our Yorkie while we were at work and brought him back a few hours later. The woman that did the pickups was great! Because of a traumatic experience with another boarding facility that left our dog uncomfortable around most other dogs, we had to proceed carefully. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and these people were the first to admit it, rather than continue taking our money. I'd like to point out, though, that rather than leaving Joey in an uncomfortable situation with the other dogs, they had him sleep on their laps! They were all friendly and we hated parting ways.

HORRIBLE! TRAUMATIC! Be careful about who you trust your family member to! We were so excited to get our Yorkie into an environment with other dogs while we were at work. We had to go through quite a bit of effort after being turned away for the initial trial because of shots. (wasted half a day!) The big day came and we couldn't have been more excited. When I showed up to pick him up, I was horrified with what I found! Our 8 LB dog was being "chased around the pen" by two much larger dogs. Not 5 seconds from when I first spotted him did I watch him actually poop while he was running from them! Our poor little boy was scared to death! He NEVER should have been left in a situation like that. I have no idea how long that had gone on for. I got ZERO quality dicussion from the woman about what had happened. She was too busy explaining that our dog had hostility issues. Apparently, an 8 LB dog snapping at a 40 LB dog that won't relent has issues. And then she told me about how he snapped at her nose. Let me tell you ... we've now had this dog for three years. The only time he has ever nipped (never bitten) has been at the end of long days (partys) when he was trying to sleep on my lap and people wouldn't leave him alone. This woman clearly avoided the signs that he didn't want her face in his face. She should know this as a "professional". No dog nips without sending signs, like growling, barring, etc. Our dog LOVED to play with other dogs in the park before this incident. He was quiet for TWO DAYS after this experience and wouldn't even bark. He's never been the same with other dogs since. This place changed our dog irreperably and it hurts us to think about it. I was fuming as I PAID FOR HIS TRAUMA! They couldn't have cared any less. Never heard from them again.

The dogs love being there and get really excited in the car as soon as they recognize where they are going. They come home happy and tired from playing so much. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny for the peace of mind I get knowing that they are happy, well cared for and not in cages while I am gone

    Park Street Veterinary Clinic
Dr. Kastner and the entire staff at Park Street are wonderful, friendly, caring people. It is easy to get an appointment in emergencies. They always call the day before to remind me about appointments. One of my dogs hates going to the Vet but the staff are great with her, the other actually likes being there (she might see a cat!)

    K9 PERFORMANCE PLUS
We paid $30 for evaluation, $200 for the first dog's classes, and (I think) $175 for the second dog's classes. We took both our dogs to beginning obedience class at K9 Performance, and found it somewhat helpful for both dogs. Our dogs were 4 and 6 at the time, so their relatively advanced ages may have made it difficult to make significant progress in any training class. But the small class sizes, personal attention of the instructors, and the system they teach for both dog & handler to modify their behavior was fairly effective. The more stubborn of our dogs learned the least, but the younger (and worst behaved) dog really improved a lot. The times offered for classes are convenient, and the owner & instructors have a very straight-talk approach to their teaching & recommendations.

    BEST FRIENDS
Our 2 dogs stayed at Best Friends Wakefield for 4 nights; one of our dogs was also bathed and trimmed. We've used Best Friends a number of times, and have been happy with their service. It is a relatively large/institutional kennel, which all have their drawbacks - the amenities are pretty sparse, and the boarding dogs are always barking and making a racket. But I do find that my dogs are happy when I pick them up, and appear well-cared for and clean. The staff are very thorough in the check-in process, collecting all the relevant information about the dogs' care (mine have "high maintenance" diet requirements, which the kennel handles easily). I find their prices are competitive to other services/sitters we use.
