Three Masons Professional Handyman & Masonry LLC
John Mason and his crew did a great job on the variety of projects I threw at them. It was so nice to have one crew tackle all these different things. John walked about my interior and exterior and took notes and sent me a comprehensive estimate with individual pricing for all the projects so I could pick and choose if budget was an issue. I had him do the complete list estimated so far. The crew was polite, clean, and did a wonderful job. They were here in the winter and still managed to get through the exterior list. I would certainly use them again.

The front porch came out great! It was regraded to keep water running away from the house and resurfaced.
The indoor work on the ceiling was done quickly and professionally.  It looks really nice.
The roofing job was not done quite as expected. The fascia board was not replaced to cover the black rubber as discussed. After questioning this, I never heard back from them. I paid for the front porch and the ceiling in full.  With the roof, I paid most, but not all. I figured I would hold off until the job was done as expected.

Based on good reviews from Angie's List, I decided to call them for various jobs around our home. John came on time for the initial appointment and we went over the list of items to be fixed. Within a few days, I got an estimate from John's office. The estimates were very reasonable compared to some I got from others and decided to go with Three Masons. Initially, they could only schedule me on Jan 21, but I requested them to accommodate me if there were any cancellations. At least, I wanted them to inspect the garage ceiling/bedroom floors for structural issues first to see if any issues.

John was able to do the inspection the weekend before Christmas, it turned out everything was ok, but we noticed there was absolutely no insulation and our bedrooms were so cold.

Luckily, John was able to do the garage ceiling insulation work on 12/27. Our bedrooms were on top of the garage and they were extremely cold. John and his crew installed blown insulation and we could feel the bedroom floors not as cold that night and the following nights - much comfortable now.

Also, John Confirmed they could do rest of the work on 12/30. That was almost a month earlier than originally scheduled. John and his crew came on time on 12/30 to start the work. Different crew members worked on multiple things over the course of two days to complete the tasks. John oversaw and provided instructions to his crew to ensure everything is done right. While they were working, I asked multiple questions on the fixes. The crew answered every one of my questions. At end of each task, they cleaned up thoroughly without any mess. While they were there, based on my request they fixed 2/3 minor things too. Overall, it was very easy to work with them and they were very friendly and professional. I'm totally satisfied with the job and I will definitely hire them for future jobs in my house.

Took down a dividing wall that required a new support beam. Initial wall demo and support beam done quickly. Issues started in the basement. Needed new posts in the basement. To do the work Scott had to cut out the concrete floor. Must have done this with a dry saw. Entire basement was covered in concrete dust. No attempt to cover anything was made including washer dryer and all stored items some of which was removed from upstairs to avoid the work in the living room. Pouring the concrete also left very uneven floor around the posts. Will have to be corrected if ever wanting to upgrade basement. Lastly the drywall repairs ceiling and some walls. Scott had to be told that the layers of mud needed to be sanded down to be considered paint ready as per our contract. Most was corrected but many corners and details left in poor condition His contractor for flooring was ok. Took 4 days longer due to double booking. Some wood slats were placed unevenly creating noticeable low and high pieces. Used Scott because he had an opening quickly but it was probably not worth it.

Overall this company is very poor. Left a mess all over the windows, doors and house. Cement splattered everywhere. Never came back to finish what was on the signed contract. Cement pitched all wrong. Deco drain not draining anywhere. Colors of cement all wrong.

PETER WAS PROMPT WHEN WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AT THE JOB. THE ESTIMATE WAS MAILED TO ME IN A TIMELY FASHION. HE TOLD ME WHAT HE COULD DO, MADE SUGGESTIONS AND ALSO WHAT HE WASN'T COMFORTABLE DOING WHEN I DESCRIBED ANOTHER JOB I NEEDED DONE AT A DIFFERENT HOUSE. WE HAD A LOT OF RAIN AND WEATHER THAT JUST WASN'T CONDUCIVE TO CEMENT WORK SO HE WASN'T ABLE TO START AS SOON AS HE WANTED TO. BUT ONCE HE DID BEGIN MUCH WAS ACCOMPLISHED IN ONE DAY. HE IS A VERY POLITE MAN, EASY TO TALK TO AND A HARD WORKER. HIS WORKERS WERE GREAT ALSO. I DID NOT SEEK A SECOND ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY BECAUSE I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH PETER. MY ELDERLY AUNT LIVES IN THE HOUSE AND SHE LIKED HIM VERY MUCH. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE CALL HIM RATHER THAN E-MAIL HIM. I E-MAILED AND DID NOT HEAR BACK. I WAITED ONE WEEK THEN CALLED. I LEFT A VOICE MAIL AND RECEIVED A CALL BACK IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. HE THOUGHT MY E-MAIL MAY HAVE GONE DIRECTLY TO HIS JUNK MAIL. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
