I was able to schedule a technician to come over the same day so I was thrilled. The work was done properly. Both the receptionist and technician coordinator were extremely helpful and polite. Couldn't ask for better professionalism (A++).

    Affordable Landscaping
It was a very large job, but Lisa handled it very well. She showed up when she said she was going to, and was very responsive by text whenever questions arose. She also offered great suggestions for our project. The project came in over budget, but that was no fault of hers, as we added to the project as we went along. The price was reasonable, as it was a very large job. We also retained Lisa to provide regular lawn care (including spring and fall cleanups) and maintenance of the sprinkler system. The lawn was seeded at the end of September, and has come in very nicely. We have received MANY complements from our neighbors, and we are very happy with the outcome!

    HOMEPROS Construction & Remodeling
I contacted five different contractors and only three were willing to come to do the estimate. Among the three contractors who came, one never gave me the estimate despite repeated emails and messages, and the second contractor who came reluctantly gave me an estimate that was so ridiculously inflated that we simply could not afford it. Randy was the only contractor who was responsive and professional, and was very honest with his estimate and most importantly willing to work with us to make our budget to work for our project. The project went well, although it started later than all of us expected due to scheduling issue, but the entire project was completed pretty much on-time still. Randy is a very talented plumber, he was able to somehow connect the plumbing in our tiny new bathroom with very little space to work with. The team did a great job for tiling the bathroom floors, both bathrooms look great. I still do not know how they managed to put the new bath tub and shower unit in so perfectly in the tight spaces, I am just glad that they are good at it. They also gave us good ideas how to maximize our limited space, for example by installing a recessed mirror/medicine cabinet. We now have two tidy and functioning full baths that look great, thanks to the HomePros Construction Team.

    Adams Plumbing Services
I contacted Adams plumbing and got a quick response. They came to my house within about an hour. They diagnosed and fixed the problem, replacing all the corroded pipes within a couple of hours. It turns out the pipes (which date back to 1975) we completely corroded.

I need to add a water main shut-off valve to the existing ones. I have contacted multiple plumbers recommended here. Two came to my house and gave me an estimate (both from nextdoor). I contacted the one with the lower estimate, but never heard back from him. I then contacted the one with higher estimate and asked if he could lower his price. Again, he stopped responding. I then contacted several plumbers on the Angie's list and asked if they could install the valve within a week. Mark from Adams Plumbing Services responded within a few hours. He called me the next day and asked a few details about the installation. He gave me a quote is much more reasonable, $165 including fittings. The installation was scheduled for the next Monday. This Monday, Robert, Mark's son, showed up at my house at 8:40 AM, exactly within the window Mark told me (8:30 to 9:00 AM). He told me that they only take small plumbing jobs, such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, etc. I watched while Robert was busy installing the valve. He is very careful in preparing his job: he removed the smoke detectors to prevent false alarm, then put them back when the job finished. It took him about 1 hour to install the valve (the higher estimate from nextdoor contacts asked for 2-hour labor). Overall I am very satisfied with Adams Plumbing Services and would like to recommend them if you need a plumber for routing maintenance.

    Peace of Mind Home Improvements

Pierre and his crew (Frank and Richard) are our local Holmes on homes - (a contractor on TV that corrects any and all problems he comes across when correcting what another contractor has done).  Pierre and his employees take great pride in their work..   He made our outdated, blah kitchen our dream kitchen.

Each step of construction was explained and reviewed.  If there were problems, and there were some that could not be anticipated the problem was explained and the solution provided.

Each job that was performed was completed correctly. Unlike previous contractors we've used.  His job completion was timely and his work impeccable.  We have a small  dog that thinks anything on the floor is edible.  Which was a huge concern for us.  Each and every day the work area was cleaned of all debris and his tools and materials stacked neatly out of our way.

Pierre's contractors for plumbing, heating and ventilation were all professionals as well.  When our kitchen was complete he had a lovely lady come in and clean our kitchen.  Just another testament to Pierre's desire to do the right thing.

Would we use Peace of Mind Home Improvement again?  YES!  Would we recommend Pierre Garand and his crew to friends and family?  ABSOLUTELY!  He is a gem in a field of thieves.  His integrity and respect for others is phenomenal.

He's actually going to refinish our hardwood floors and do some other projects in the Fall.

Milltown Plumbing, Heating, HVAC, & Drain Cleaning
Horrible. What I was hoping to be a couple of days of work turned into 5 full days at my home. There were a couple of surprises, like when my contractor removed the acrylic shower stall we discovered that the pipes and part of the drain line running into the shower from the adjoining bathroom were sticking out from the wall and needed to be relocated inside the wall so we could sheet rock and tile it.. The same for the water lines running to the whirlpool tub. I understood that this was more work than expected and I had no problem paying for it. My issues were the following:
    1) These guys have perfected the ability to work VERY slowly, so even installing a couple of shut-off valves takes hours to do. Each day at my house they took a full eight hours and only completed one area at a time.
    2) They arrive in vans which I would assume have plumbing supplies, yet they find the need to make several trips to the store in the course of each day, which is all on the clock.
    3) On one trip the plumber brought  a young man from the local technical high school with him. He mostly stood around watching the plumber work and running down to the truck for a wrench or  a hammer. When they were done for this day the plumber handed me a bill that included a charge of $50.00 an hour for the students time!!
    4) When they roughed in the free standing faucet and the drain for the soaking tub they miscalculated the location of the drain. When they put the tub in it was far enough away from the faucet so when you turn on the faucet the water hits the inside of the tub wall, splashing water all over the floor. The only fix is to rip up the new tile floor and relocate the drain. This happened even though the tub was on site and could have been used as a template for the location of the faucet and drain, but they decided to guess instead.
    5) When working on the shower stall I understood the need to relocate the water lines and drain coming from the bathroom right next door so they could be relocated inside the walls, BUT they cut the water lines running up and inside the walls feeding the shower mixing valve all the way to the floor, even though they were perfectly fine and in the proper location. This cost me a brand new shower mixing valve and copper lines that didn't need to be replaced.
    6) The bill for the last trip included a charge of $40.00 for rags!!
I seriously considered replacing them with another plumber about half way through the job but my contractor advised me against it for the simple reason that if anything was wrong with any part of the plumbing work you don't want 2 different plumbers pointing the finger at each other for whose fault it might be. So I felt stuck.

    Peterson Plumbing
This is my 3rd service call completed by Peterson Plumbing.  The bearings on my disposer were going, making a nasty noise.

I bought a replacement unit and had Paterson replace it.  the job was done properly and promptly and for a price that makes doing it yourself a thing of the past.  He cleaned up and left the place the way he found it.

Thus another job by Peterson was completed.

    Peterson Plumbing
I called Peterson to have him replace a leaky bathroom faucet and a pop up drain that was in bad shape.  I had purchased the parts, including the feeder lines so the price is for labor only.  Peterson showed up a little early, took about 70 minutes to complete the job and went on his way.  The fixtures were installed as needed with no leaks or problems.  A very simple job for an expert plumber and I could not be more satisfied.

    Drains By James, Inc
We had just moved into our house and drains were already backing up.
We tried to fix it ourselves but could not.
When they came out, I noticed they were very polite, professional and well-dressed in the way they handled themselves.  They tried a couple methods and discovered the problem was due to some previous bathroom work that was done on the house before we moved in -  something we had never thought of.
After the problem was solved, they had no problem offering advice on how we could do a quick simple fix on another leaky pipe we had in the upstairs sink.
My husband and I were impressed with the professional attitude.
We would definitely hire again, and recommend.
