    Have you hugged your electrician today? Neither have I, actually (he���s happily married), but he���s so AWESOME that I want to. Mike installed several light fixtures and ceiling fans for me, upgraded my existing smoke and CO detectors to current standards, installed heat detectors in my garage, and installed smoke/CO detectors in my bedrooms where there weren���t any. Some of this work was not easy given the way the house was built. Mike took extra care to come up with a creative solution to install the heat detectors that took him longer than expected but required minimal drilling of holes in the ceiling. And when he left, the rooms where he worked were cleaner than when he arrived. His original written estimate ��� which was very fair and reasonable -- was the price I paid for the work, even though it took him longer to finish than I think he originally expected. Mike is professional, polite, and he fixes it right the first time. I���m delighted to have found an electrician with integrity whom I trust implicitly to do the job right at a fair price. I���ll be using him for all my electrical projects ��� you should too!

    Handled the light install and swap inside the house okay. Brought the wrong light (said it was the wrong color) for the outside so he couldn't fix the broken one. Said he would return to do it the next day and that we didn't need to be home. I made the mistake of paying him. Never came back, never returned any of the follow-up calls we placed and we left messages. We figured he has so much business that he could not be bothered (he was answering phone calls constantly while he was doing the work inside, so who knows what was going on) but not returning repeated calls is lame. Eventually we had paid another electrician to come out and replace the light.

    Benjamin Electric did a great job hanging my oversized pendant light. Ben showed up on time first thing Monday morning. He put down drop cloths to keep everything clean. Ben worked with me to determine the correct height for the light and efficiently wired it to my 15ft ceiling. Ben was friendly and answered all my questions. Overall, I am very satisfied with the work completed and will use them in the future.

    I think Carmine is wonderful - very easy to communicate with and he was very flexible when we needed him to come out to complete the job. When we moved into our home, we had plans to change outlets, light switches, dimmers and several light fixtures. Our first quote came from a company that was recommended by one of our neighbors. He was awful - didn't seem to know what he was doing, had no recommendations or general knowledge of LED lighting. . .then quoted us over $5,000 for the job. Needless to say, we did not respond to his absurd quote. My husband then found D'Ambrosio Electric on Angie's List and our experience was so much greater. Carmine and I set up a time for him to come out for an estimate. He sent us the estimate via email by the week end and after our first experience, found Carmine to be extremely reasonable.
    Our light fixtures were not just simple change out's - one is extremely heavy and needed added support, one was in the entry way with a very high ceiling, one on the ceiling in the stairway (really tricky to get to), one (or should I say three) bathroom vanity lights to which there was one wire connection, but I wanted three separate lights installed so he had to cut spaces and run wires, etc. - then some easier to change out like our two wall sconces and another vanity light.
    He was so responsive that I hadn't had time to decide on and purchase all of the lights prior to him being able to complete the job. He showed up as scheduled (very punctual) with his son and one other electrician from his company. The three of them showed up while we were also having new hardwood floors installed and they worked around all of the clutter and mess, with all of the noise from the floor people. At one point, Carmine, a grown man, was perched on top of a stack of  hardwood packages to change out a light switch. They got ALL of them!! They worked all day long, without even a small break and completed all of the outlet/switch/dimmer replacements as well as the light fixtures that I had for them to install with no problem at all. Carmine was very kind and offered to come back to finish whenever I had the remaining light fixtures and to just give him a call. I called about a week or two later and he came within a couple of days after my call. I LOVE all of my new light fixtures!!
    I am very thankful to have found such a great electrician and I will absolutely use him on any future projects we may have!

    Tim was very prompt in responding--just like all the reviews said.  He is personable on the phone and was easy to schedule with.  I told Tim I had a big Honey Do list of electrical tasks and was interested in purchasing the Big Deal.  I sent him a preliminary list of tasks and he said he thought most of it was doable, but realistically they could not do it all during the 4 hours of the Big Deal.  I said no problem.  1/2 a done Honey Do list is better than nothing.


    They showed up and Tim's coworker immediately got to work pulling out the old bathroom fan and putting the new one in.  Tim examined the chandelier wiring that we were worried about and confirmed that it was an issue that needed to be addressed immediately AND that the fix wasn't completely simple.  The fix required the installation of a new junction box.


    He then also took a look at our pot lights in the kitchen ceiling.  They had been installed incorrectly by the former owners.  We had purchased the retrofit kits, but forgot to purchase the mounting bracket thingees, so my husband went back to Lowes to get them.  What was nice was that Tim went on his phone and showed my husband exactly what to get.  That was a nice extra step.


    Tim recommended that as long as we were having the ceiling redone (another project/ another contractor), we might as well take the opportunity to lay out the lights differently so they would be more effective in the kitchen.  YA HOOOO!   I can see 

    the vegetables I'm cutting on the counter, and large swaths of the kitchen are now bathed in light.  I really appreciated his suggesting this, as I thought the light placement was just fine before.  WOW what a difference with the new placement.


    Tim was upfront when he was coming to the end of his time.  He said that he could wind things up or, if we wanted, he could keep going and finish up the work.  He said it would take about another hour.  We agreed to keep going with no hesitation.


    I'm so, so, so happy I found this resource.  TPRO is great.  They are so great, we are going to hire them again to do our living room lights, basement lights, garage lights.....

    Tom was an EXCELLENT contractor.�� During the excessively busy season this past winter, he called me back the same day that I originally called him.�� He is pleasant and super easy to understand and work with.�� After discussing my situation, we set up a time for him to come and take a look.�� He showed up exactly when he said he would (and didn't even complain when my over-friendly dog attempted to welcome him in) , and he stayed for as long as needed to answer my�� numerous questions.�� Since my insurance company was involved in paying some claims, I found Tom's advice in that respect as to what and how to document the work very helpful.�� His understanding and experience�� in working with insurance companies was one reason I ultimately hired him.�� After providing me with a detailed estimate, I scheduled time for Tom to do the work.�� Tom was also very proactive in working with my contractor who was going to be doing the "put it all back together" work. I will add here that my contractor also seemed impressed by Tom and his work, and after Tom's work was done, my contractor commented that Tom and his team had done a VERY good job in only removing areas that needed to be removed, and that they worked hard to preserve areas that didn't.�� For example, I was concerned that we might need to rip out only a small section of a tiled�� bathroom floor which would mean the endless hunt to find matching replacement tile.�� But, no worries, Tom was able save the floor-YEA!!���� Another thing I will add is that Tom and his crew were downright meticulous in keeping small things like the screws to switch plates, lighting futures and other things that would eventually need to be "put back" orderly and together .
    Regarding the work itself, again Tom and his team showed up when scheduled, finished when they said they would, and came in UNDER the estimate!�� Who does that these days??�� The work space was left exceptionally clean, all debris was removed and as mentioned, they were careful to preserve what they could.�� Would I hire Tom again?�� Well, I hope I never have to but if I do, its not even a question.�� Fair, honest, knowledgeable, quality work, said what he does and does what he says.�� What's not to like?

    When the town building inspector voluntarily starts to praise the quality of the work you know that it is good.  Ryan Norman was polite, honest and professional.  It was evident that both his crew and the subcontractors enjoyed working with the company.  Renovation of a 67 year old house is never without glitches, but problems were solved with clear explanations of what needed to be done.  It is not easy to have people working in your house from April to September, but we were kept informed as to what was happening when, the crews were generally on time, and everyone was nice and appropriate around a child.

    We were having electric issues with dimming lights, appliances (Stove & Dryer), computer,  etc., turning off randomly which had recently gotten much worse.  Within an hour and still before 8:00 AM the day before Thanksgiving, Bill from D'Ambrosio called my cell and said that he could come by later that day to diagnose the problem.  He said that it sounded like it could be a loose connection in the electrical box or outside the house.  Before we hung up, Bill suggested I call the power company and ask them to check the line in from the street because that could be causing the problems. He said he would call me later in the day to check in before he came.  I called National Grid as suggested and they came out within a few hours.  Turned out that my problems were  originating with a faulty line in from the street which National Grid promptly fixed at no charge to me.  When Bill called me later that day I informed him that our electric service was back to normal and that I would not need his "billable" services this day.  Even though D'Ambrosio electric didn't have a billable service call from me, I feel the service, advice and quick response time was excellent to say the least.  I told Bill that I was very happy with his service, advise  and rapid response and that my experience was so positive with D'Ambrosio that I would like them to come by and give us a quote to install some recessed lighting in our Kitchen in the near future.  You have a new satisfied customer.  Thanks so much for your help and advice.

    The plan was to upgrade my electrical service in the garage--installing outlets, lights, and a heater. They responded promptly to my initial contact and sent someone to provide an estimate. So far, so good. But since then things gradually went from bad to completely unacceptable. Thankfully no money has changed hands.
    An email on a Tuesday from the company asked and quot;how does Thursday work for you?and quot; I responded that day that and quot;that'd be great, see you Thursday morning.and quot; On Thursday morning when no one arrived, I called and was told and quot;oh, sorry, I should've got back to you--we just did the scheduling and we'll need to pick another date.and quot; OK fine, I should probably have called to confirm that Thursday date. Maybe that's my bad.
    We settled on another date for the work to be done, and though responses to my emails were often incomplete (e.g. failing to answer the second of two questions), we seemed to be on track. For this next date, I had been told that the crew would arrive at 7am. When at 9am no one had arrived or called, I called and was told and quot;oh with the weather today we can't make it, and it's been crazy I've been dealing with problems related to the storm.and quot; (To be fair, there was a pretty bad rainstorm with flooding.) and quot;And we've got one guy on your crew who's got a sick kid.and quot; OK fine, stuff happens. You REALLY should call your customers when you can't make it to a job, but fine. (Although which was it: the weather or the sick kid?)
    I decided to give them one last chance--the alternative is to call another company and go through the estimate/scheduling process again. Well here I am, on the third date. The crew was supposed to arrive at 7am. It's 9am. No call. So this is the THIRD time they've promised to arrive and the THIRD time they've no-showed with no call.
    This is pretty atrocious for a service business. I have no idea if it's just the guy I've been in contact with screwing up or whether the whole company is inept, but I'm not going to keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

    John is the owner, but Jason came out to do the work. He installed the recepticles through ceramic tile, and had to climb through the attic to route the wires. He was great! I couldn't expect any better work.
