  • We could not be more pleased with the results of this project. I was immediately impressed by Mr. Molla at our first meeting. He is extremely thorough and made every effort to understand exactly what we wanted the finished project to look like. We signed our contract within a few days of receiving our estimate and in his documentation, Mr. Molla included many items that we had not thought about when my wife and I were discussing the project. When the work began, I was immediately reassured that we had in fact selected the best man for the job. All permits were obtained, and shortly thereafter, the digging in my back yard began for installation of the state mandated emergency egress system through my foundation wall. This aspect of the project went well and the indoor work began shortly thereafter.

Everyone who had a part in this project was extremely professional, friendly and neat. Work progressed quickly and not 1 thing came up that was not managed perfectly. Zoning ordinances change often and they were almost no modifications to be made  from the frequent inspections from my town. My town is well known for very strict standards and there was not 1 significant problem that delayed the project. Mr. Molla is very well versed on zoning requirements!

The project involved installation of the egress system, finishing the 4 walls including quality materials and highly rated insulation, electrical work with numerous outlets and additional lighting, the installation of an "air exchange" system, carpeting, painting and nicely done moldings and window casements and installation of a door into the unfinished segment of the basement. He even installed a "cat door" at our selected site for use of our cat to access her litter box. Absolutely NOTHING was overlooked! What particularly impressed me is that at EVERY step of the way, Mr. Molla would appear at my home to check on the progress, sometimes 2 times a day and to see that my wife and I were pleased with the work and progress and a thorough professional clean up was included at the completion of our project. This was hardly needed at all because the work was done so neatly.

Without hesitation, I can recommend F & P Molla for any construction/home improvement project that is within his area of expertise. It is so pleasant to find a company that does as they say when they say, and does it so professionally and to such high standards. If the occasion arises in the future, I won't need to hunt around for a superior contractor. I can call Mr. Molla.

(On a side note, his wife Paula who does the bookkeeping is also a pleasure to deal with!)

  • Ray took some time to get back to my original call but, he did, about 8 days later. I met with Ray on my jobsite and really liked his mannerisms. He really seemed to know what he was talking about. My project is the conversion of my single story ranch to a two story single family home. I got the feeling that Ray was very interested in this job and when he gave me a verbal (only) quote, I found the number to be affordable (I did obtain three others quotes from other builders). I asked to proceed but first needed his quote in writing plus to see his certificates of insurance. That is where things fell apart. I tried and tried to get a written quote from Ray but never received such. I can only figure that perhaps Ray underestimated the job and realized this after he gave me his verbal quote. Ultimately, I postponed my project until Spring... Nothing was lost except for time and I wish Ray the best, he seems like a nice guy... The positive...The time lost will allow me more time to gather another quote or two for an early Spring start.

  • They quoted me 60% less than another company that tried to make me replace trim they said didn't need replacing. They were on time and performed a great job. I'd hire them again without hesitation.

  • My wife and I were very leery of going forward with our extensive kitchen remodel, after a very bad bathroom renovation experience.  The folks at Britton homes made the entire process a great and rewarding experience.  The quoting process was very straight forward and easy to understand.  They laid out a very precise schedule, and worked very hard to stick to it (we had some changes that pushed out the timing a bit, but they did everything in their power to get us back on schedule).  It is very evident that they have a great relationship with their subs, and work that the subs did reflect that as well.  They were very accommodating during the construction phase, helping us manage as we were without a kitchen for 2 months.  Now that the project is done, we are extremely happy with the final product, and couldn't be happier with the work that Jim, Patrick and Dan did for us.   We whole heartily recommend Britton Homes!!

  • Overall we are very pleased with the design, the quality of the work, the cost, and the schedule. The contractors were great to deal with. We were always kept informed in advance of plans, to minimize disruption of our lifestyle.
For the screen porch, the holes for the foundation tubes were dug by hand, to avoid any possible septic system disturbance.
Once the concrete was poured and set, the framing crew came in, built the frame, and tied it into the existing roof.
The decking was installed nicely with even gaps between boards and screening material underneath to keep insects out. The finish trim was then completed with nice attention to detail.
We made some changes along the way, but this did not cause a problem, since the contractor is very flexible.
We had thought of making the porch with different dimensions, but the contractor reminded us to take into account the space needed for table and chairs. He was right! If we had changed it, there wouldn't have been enough space for the chairs to slide out from the table!
The screens are 6 feet wide and 7 feet high, so we have a wonderful full view of the woods behind the house.
The patio area was built on a solid base and the complicated block pattern was installed exactly per the plan. This where the gas grill will be located.
The roof replacement was completed in two days, looks great and does not leak.
We are really happy with our new porch, patio and roof. We'll spend a lot of time on the porch once spring arrives.
