Lahey Clinic Medical Center - Burlington
I like the quality of the healthcare professionals. What drew me to this facility, to begin with we actually lived in this area back in the late 1990s and I had used them when we lived here, and then we moved out of the area. I had good service then and I chose to come back to use their services when we moved back this way.

    Zaslow, Dr. Michael C
Dr. Zaslow has been my doctor for many years for things both great and small. He treated me when I broke my leg years ago. I have an ongoing problem with high blood pressure which he is treating. He is very good at explaining things and that?s one of the things that I really like about him. He is very straightforward and forthright. He is very clear while explaining about the clinical jargon. He is honest and strict. He is always on time and so you don?t have to take a book when you go to his office. He was there at 7 o?clock in the morning once when I was in the hospital. I never get to see the bill. I would use his services in the future too and I go to his office for my annual physical exams.

    Mount Auburn Pulmonary Consult
From the start, the visit was excellent. The office staff were nice and the nurse was friendly, reassuring and professional. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Barker. I wasn't expecting the level of attention and care that he gave me. He listened carefully, asked good questions and explained everything to make sure I understood it. Before I did the spirometer test (when you breathe into a tube and the computer measures how well your lungs are working) he explained it thoroughly and he was very encouraging throughout. When I have done this test before, in the offices of various allergists, it is always the nurses who administer this test. But Dr. Barker was the one who gave me the test and explained the results. I especially appreciated that he didn't talk down to me or patronize me in any way. This was especially appreciated because it turned out nothing was wrong with my lungs - in fact, he said they are in great shape, which quite a relief for me since I don't have to worry any more about getting enough oxygen for the baby.  Dr. Barker diagnosed me with a case of pregnancy-aggravated reflux. He was very informative and answered my questions thoroughly, even drawing pictures to make sure I understood how the esophagus and the windpipe are connected and how the reflux and coughing create a feedback loop with each other. He also was clear about what I could do about the issue, and drew pictures of how we can raise one end of our bed to help the reflux while I'm sleeping. And he told me to reduce my dosage of the steroid inhaler I am taking and agreed with me that the steroid inhaler in fact does make you more likely to get sick. (I have actually had an argument with one allergist about this, who told me I was imagining things and that steroid inhalers have no side effects except dry throat. I don't see him anymore.)  Anyway I would highly recommend Dr. Barker to anyone and I will probably see him for my asthma problems in the future instead of an allergist because the experience was so positive and supportive. Thank you Dr. Barker!!

    David Green MD
He's a very bright and attentive doctor. I like how easy he is to reach when I have questions or problems. I also like him because he's very astute which carries into his ability to diagnose things. He's a good doctor.
