Physical Therapy reviews in Newton Highlands

  • I was assigned to a PT named Calvin (I'm blanking on the last name).  Calvin was very good: seeing that my shoulder was inflamed, he was careful to limit my exercises to ones that didn't cause pain.  There were times, however, when he wasn't available, and I was assigned to other therapists who operated on the "no pain no gain" principle.  Unfortunately, this only made my shoulder worse, so I ended up having to get a cortisone shot from my orthopedic doctor, who told me NOT to do any PT that gave me pain.
I was disappointed in this experience with Rebound, since over a period of 10-15 years I had been very pleased with the head of the practice Steve Crowell, with Angela Powers, and with Ben Barron (who is no longer with the practice).  My sense is that it has become more of a sports medicine practice rather than a general PT practice.  I might use it again, but I might not since at the age of 73, I need a less physically aggressive approach.
