    ProSports Orthopedics Inc
They were excellent. They work mostly with sports people so they get us back to functioning where we were before as opposed to anything else and that's what I wanted. They did not do surgery. The specialist took x-rays and gave me things to do. He gave me lots of alternatives before surgery. As it turns out, I didn't need the surgery.

    Gill, Dr. Thomas J.
He is at MGH Sports Medicine. He is a very thoughtful sports medicine doctor. He is very good at certain kinds of surgery. We have had excellent care. If I want to participate in sports and have an injury that needs attending to, then he is the doctor I would go to. It is hard to see him because he is busy but he makes time for people. He has been available. I wish the billing and administration weren't so efficient but it is really good too. I would rate him highly and will definitely use him in the future.

Once the severed ACL was confirmed with the MRI, we knew that surgery would be required. Dr Neil Herman performed ACL repair surgery and followed up with my daughter. He provided information need to prepare our family for the surgery and recovery. We scheduled it in mid-December to minimize missed school days and to allow the swelling to subside. The surgery and hospital stay went without a hitch. She recovered full use of her knee after physical therapy. The recovery and PT took a while but now my daughter is dancing and driving again! I would recommend Dr Herman and the Framingham Orthopedics.

I didn't dislike anything rather than I had a knee surgery but it was overall a good experience and I'm satisfied with the outcome.

He tells you what he's going to do. He's a good talker and a good listener. They operate very efficiently.

    Degroot, Dr. Henry
Dr. DeGroot's assessment of the injury was immediate and he performed minimal intervention (two screws in each injury, foot and ankle) with minimal cutting of soft tissue. His communication and bedside manner was informative, very engaging, and tailored to what I needed to know. Dr. DeGroot was exactly correct predicting the stages of recovery. He explained what I could expect at each stage of my surgery and recovery. He was always right and his accuracy was helpful for me planning my life to minimize disruption of my life. He was really attentive to every detail. From casting options to screw removal to anesthesia options. We discussed my options and what would work best for me. Dr. DeGroot even recommended special scooters for me to use instead of crutches and this improved my mobility and made coping with a long recovery tolerable. My best experience with bone repair and I have broken several bones over the years. Dr DeGroot even recommended I take up Aikido, appropriate for me, to develop strength, flexibility, and keep my weight in check. Very cool.

    Talmo, Dr Carl T
He has given me a new lease on life. It has been absolutely remarkable, and his protocol is very different from anything I expected. The recovery was not as elaborate or as painful as I expected. It was a great experience all the way around.

    Talmo, Dr Carl T
Dr. Talmo did a fabulous job. He is the best in this field. He is very professional, he is not much on personality but he did answer my questions. There was not a lot of communication on the preparation phase of the surgery because it was not necessary and all the work prior to it, I did it with a physical therapist. He just needed to tell me when he could do it. The New England Baptist has a great procedure for the surgery. They have you come in ahead of time and you get all the information, not necessarily by the doctor but it is through the entire staff at the hospital. You come in two weeks early, you attend a class that tells you what is going to happen, and they check you for bacteria to see that if you are MRSA carrier, so you get the antibiotics and become free of that when you have your surgery. So I can't say enough about both the doctor and the hospital, New England Baptist. They are available when they are available; you got to book ahead.

I liked them a lot. I thought that the person that I used was very experienced. He didn't try to push any particular treatment on me. I liked that when I suggested him, if I really need to do anything about this problem, which I still have and he said no. I liked that about him.
