    ReplaceALens
Excellent job - did take a bit longer than I expected, and I did not get a verification that they received the glasses. However all other aspects of the service was excellent.

    Reading Eye Associates
Excellent exam and explanation of my eye needs; perfect lens provided for computer work and reading; wide and varied choice of frames; and friendly service. Fair pricing. Couldn't ask for more.

    Moody Optical Co., Inc.
A few months ago, my four-year-old daughter needed glasses and we took the prescription to Moody Optical. They did a great job of fitting her with frames that she liked and making sure that she received only the polycarbonate lenses. They accepted our eye insurance and gave us the expected discounts, and we received the new glasses by the promised date. Then my daughter intentionally snapped her glasses in half across the bridge a couple weeks later, so I brought them to Moody Optical for replacement. They made use of the warranty and only charged us ~$15 for the replacement glasses. They gave us the broken pieces of the old frames and wisely recommended that we keep them. A month later, my daughter accidentally twisted one joint on the frames while playing outside, but Moody Optical was able to replace that joint with one of the joints we'd saved from the first pair of glasses, and only charged us $6 to do the repair, which took them about 20 minutes to complete. A couple months after that, the other joint broke while she was playing, and Moody Optical was once again able to fix it for only $6. The frames are fairly sturdy but not too heavy, and my daughter happy to wear her glasses all the time. We've been very pleased with Moody Optical's product (despite all the breaks, it seems like normal wear to us, given our daughter's high activity level), and especially with their excellent repair history. We will definitely continue going to them for our daughter's glasses in the future, and we parents plan to begin going to Moody Optical for our own next pairs of glasses.

    EYE Q OPTICAL
** This review is for the service provided by Dr. Susan Cheng in Jamaica Plain, MA location ** I went to EYE Q Optical to get two pair if prescription glasses, one a normal one and the other one was a sun glasses.   Overall, I think Susan was great, kind and thorough with her work, I love her work and will recommend to people who are nearby the area. I have given some B ratings due to the following reasons:  1. Frame selections are normal. 2. Interface with clerk was a bit "cold", a more smile face from him would be much appreciated!! 3. You need to drive around to find a parking spot. I would give A- or B+ but that's not an option here :)

    Reading Eye Associates
I have been going to Reading Eye Associates for several years now. The service is always professional and the fit seems better than at other opticians I have used in the past. They are also excellent in that they will find ways to repair glasses rathe than trying to sell you a new pair. Overall a top notch place for glasses.

    Highland Opticians
Highland Opticians is a long standing local eye wear business, and like many local businesses, service here is a strength. I was helped immediately, and guided to frames that suited me. Even though I may have tried on every pair of glasses in the store, the staff was friendly and patient, and explained the options for lenses in a clear manner, without trying to sell me something more expensive than I needed. This company does take insurance, which partially covered the cost of the glasses. Most importantly, when I have needed to have my frames tightened or adjusted in any way, they do this for free and quickly. Highly recommended (as well as accessible by T, decent parking, and near a good coffee place, Lincoln St. Coffee).

    Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates
I last went to Harvard Vanguard for my regular eye checkup and exam. The doctor is terrific, and the staff is great. They always treat me nicely, and the office environment is the best. They are really really good overall, and I can say I will keep using this office in the future.

    EYE Q OPTICAL
I felt they had a good selection of very stylish frames. I didn't see the doctors since I went in with my own prescription. I felt the staff was very helpful about helping me find the right style. Overall, they were good, but they were expensive. So, I felt they were pricey, but I know glasses are expensive. I spent about $700. My glasses were ready when they said. Their professionalism was great. If need be, I would use their services again.

    Concord Optical Co
Last month I went in to pick out frames and lenses for prescription sunglasses with progressive lenses. I have also purchased prescription reading glasses from Concord Optical in the past. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. The selection of frames is extensive and they have many designer choices as well as basic frames. If they do not accept your insurance, they give a discount. The woman who helped me choose the frames and wrote up my order was helpful and patient. She was also the one who fitted me for the glasses and adjusted them when I picked them up. There were several people working both days including the optometrist, who is known to help out if the shop gets busy. You never have to wait long. They are very good about getting orders processed quickly and calling the minute the glasses arrive. They take all major credit cards and print receipts for Flexible Spending Account reimbursement, if needed/applicable.

    JOSEPH & THOMAS OPTICIANS
My family has been getting eyeglasses prescriptions filled at Joseph & Thomas for nearly 30 years. Joe, Tom and Chris are highly professional, personable and affordable. Their pricing is always better than what the chain opticians advertise. They place a high priority on customer satisfaction and have often made a repair on the spot, saving a trip back, added a darker tint to sunglasses, etc. at no charge, long after the original purchase. They've always given back to their community. Tom once did an exhaustive search over several days trying to locate the specific frame I wanted. It's a pleasure giving them the highest Angie's List grade possible.
